The Cabins are nestled around a patch of Bamboo and other high desert vegetation as well as a very rich cultural history with many Ruins and Other Native American Sights in the surrounding areas.
The Verde River is one of Arizona's only two Wild and Scenic Rivers, yet it remains relatively undiscovered as a recreational resource offering endless exploration and water fun in the Spring and Summer Months! The road to reach us is breathtaking in itself with ancient Sinaguan Ruins and strangely beautifully sculpted landscapes along the River drive. Enjoy miles of forests, rivers, lakes, swimming, hiking, mtb, all near by and all while being comfy and cozy for a nights recharge to do it all again after a hot shower or Jacuzzi.
Each Cabin is fully equipped (hot water/basic appliances/kitchen/bathroom/dishes) as an Adventure base during your stay providing a comfortable, cozy and unique location for couples or small groups to enjoy while adventuring and creating memories in the area. We provide various suggestions on local activities for our guests to enjoy as well as helpful tips to get the most out of their stay. Your Host is a professional Outdoor Adventure guide with years of experience all over the Southwest and Costa Rica and always happy to help with adventure shine!

This is a quiet, rural neighborhood and a peaceful farm that borders the National Forest for easy hiking and few neighbors. The farm animals do cluck, crow, whinny, neigh, baa, bleat, squeal, and oink at various times, including early morning.
There is one mile of a somewhat bumpy gravel road with hills to reach our neighborhood, so please make sure you are ready for that and have adequate towing power. The nearest services and dining are 5 minutes away. We are about 25-30 minutes to Sedona, the Village of Oak Creek,
and the popular red rock hiking sites. There are many wineries and dining right down the road to enjoy.
1 hour to Flagstaff, 2 hours to Phoenix.

Our high desert cattle ranch is located in Central Arizona and covers 13,000 acres. We lease government land to maintain our mother cows and breeding stock. Our herd of Brangus and Beefmaster Cross cattle are best adapted to the desert-type climate. We also have some American Wagyu cattle. The cattle forage on native grasses in mesquite, catclaw, prickly pear, and pinyon-type vegetation. It’s a passion and more about a lifestyle that involves hard work, grit, and dedication. Such a perfect stay! The cabin is perfect size for two people and the hot tub was perfect as well. There’s bamboo outside that helps with the privacy which is very nice! The location puts you out in nature but also very close to downtown Cottonwood which was a blast to visit! We will for sure be back!

We had a wonderful stay at Mary’s site. She was very responsive and friendly. My daughter enjoyed meeting her cute little puppies and seeing all of the animals nearby. The views are beautiful and there are some hiking trails in walking distance from the campsite. We had so much fun hiking in Sedona, we ended up staying a second night. Would definitely recommend!

We had a lovely stay at Mary and Greg’s place. We were here for around 3 weeks and enjoyed both the location and the lovely trails accessible from the backyard. It was just a few minutes from West Sedona nestled in a quiet neighborhood. I went on a nearby hike with Mary and the two pups one day and they also had a propane fire pit available for us to use. We have a 30’ travel trailer and Ram 2500 (8’ bed) and didn’t have any trouble getting to the property or getting parked. We will definitely keep them in mind the next time we are in the area.

If you are looking for a spot that is close to Sedona (downtown activities) as well as close enough for a day trip to the south rim, this is a good launching place. We enjoyed both of those activities as well as a ride on the Verde Railway out of Clarksdale. Jerome is a sweet town up on th mountainside, Cottonwood is worth a stop too. We explored Oak Creek - The Slide area and again, worth the effort. The camping area was secluded so good for star gazing and we were able to see the first super moon of 2026 from our site! The access is a bit rough but just drive slowly and you'll make it. There are horses nearby that kids will love if you are traveling with them. Our little grandson who is 2 1/2 made us visit with them each morning to say hello. Great fun. Water supply was ample but we filled our tank as it was not quite enough water pressure for our water heater needs. 30 amp electrical was great. We found a dump site at the Dead Horse State Park for $20 which is about 16 miles away and happen to be on our way headed towards Laughlin, NV. Definitely a great place to chill out and have some peace and quiet but yet be very close to activities in the nearby towns.

Max and Elena were great hosts. The patio with fire pit was nice in the evenings. Best thing about this spot was its very convenient proximity to the historic part of Prescott (Whisky Row). Spot was quiet and full hookups were nice. A few tips: although dogs can be off leash there are wild javelinas around and our dogs wanted to chase them so they had to stay on leash. Our motorhome is a big class A and we were towing a Jeep. It’s best to unhook your tow vehicle before getting to the spot and you will need longer hoses and electric cords with a bigger rig in order to best reach the hookups. All in all a 4.5 out of 5 stars for this spot.

The site is well maintained, clean, semi-private but very quiet, and has a picturesque view with beautiful sunsets. The fire pit and table were a charming touch. Pay strict attention to the directions and look for the sign to turn. This spot is great for exploring the area. Max had great communication from the start. All in all a great stay!

Great spot to stay while exploring the Prescott area! Nice level spot with everything we needed- electric, water, sewer, fire pit and wood! Max went above and beyond to make sure we knew how to get there, where to park and to make sure we were comfortable. Bonus- we got to see javelinas every day! Host and neighbor house are near where you park, but we still felt private and everyone was very friendly.

This spot was ideal for a one-night stop on my way to Sedona. All of the animals are very calm and friendly with people, especially the horses. The view of the mountains and stars is really beautiful. Holly and her family are very kind and welcoming, and also allow visitors their own space. I stayed at Sunset camp which is a patch near the gate, good for self-contained car/tent camping. Heard the roosters in the morning! Rustic and cool spot.

Weekend Trip to Verde River Vortex
Our host went above and beyond to make everything about this experience amazing. The stay was so soulful. We took the opportunity for river kayaking, and it was made so easy with our hosts help. We were blessed to be able take the time to spend a quiet day painting rocks and enjoying the beautiful surroundings. A few nights under the stars on the loft deck were the reset we needed. Can’t boast more about this stay. Highly recommend all of it.

Our stay with Holly and the animals was planned as a surprise for our three children – and it turned out absolutely perfect!
The communication with Holly beforehand was extremely pleasant, and she was very flexible when our arrival plans changed at short notice.
The campsite next to the animals was ideal, and we thoroughly enjoyed the ranch tour and the time spent petting and interacting with the animals. They are all so calm, curious, and friendly.
From our point of view, the surprise was a complete success, and our kids said it was the best campsite ever!

A welcoming, lovely stay at Mary’s. Mary was so friendly and generous. The parking spots are level gravel. There are picnic tables and access to water and electricity. Mary and her husband offered us use of their two fire rings. They even helped us by bringing a bag of trash to their dump for us. It was a great stay. I would highly recommend stopping here.
