The beautiful Blueberry Lake campground on Thompson Pass has spectacular 360-degree mountain views. 21 sites are available (1-17 on a paved loop road) near the lake. Vault toilets and a water pump are available for use. Several sites work well as group camping sites. There are no RV hookups or pull-throughs. Pets and generators are allowed. Bring your own firewood.
The McAllister cabin, at the mouth of Shoup Bay Marine State Park, is best accessed by kayak or boat. There is a narrow, tide dependent channel that leads to the inner lagoon where Moraine and Kittiwake cabins are located. Kayaks recommended for access.

Seaside Farm is a 30 acre, magical, park like farm on the shores of Kachemak Bay, just outside of Homer, a few miles down from the Kilcher Homestead where I grew up in the 1940's! . Now a song bird sanctuary, with trails, lawns, gardens, trees, hay fields, and a private beach, cabins, a clover camping meadow, Seaside was once part of an original Alaska pioneer homestead.
It is also the home of hundreds of songbirds, moose, coyotes, wild hares, flocks of sandhill cranes, two sweet Morgan Horses, an assortment of chickens and visitors seeking peace, nature, wildlife, pristine beaches, in a real Alaska, non touristy setting.
This property has three different types accommodations: Rustic, cozy cabins, a big field for tent campers, and a few spaces reserved for 4 wheel drive vans, and small vehicle camping, including rooftop tents
If you prefer camping away from the tourist crowds, you will find our soft clover meadows and well kept lawns, a deluxe and memorable experience. The beach is a short walk down the trail, where its peaceful and private, with only the sound of the seagulls and waves. Van campers have a few special areas to park their vehicles, with views of the glaciers and mountains. There is limited parking and turnaround space, and we like our farm not too crowded, to provide a special rural experience to all who visit. It helps to call or text before you arrive to make sure we are on site and can help you with parking!
There are three cabins sprinkled throughout the property. Two are off grid, close to the beach, private and magical, with wood stoves. All cabins are able to use the main farm lodge amenities, just a few minutes walk away but have their own outhouses, all with amazing views!
You can walk on the beach from the main lodge parking area, there is a covered camping pavilion available to all guests, a communal campfire spot and bbq grill, lovely maintained walking trails and meadows, and even wifi!
We allow most dogs, but ask you to contact us before booking with us, so we can let you know our rules before you travel. All dogs must be well behaved, social, on leashes and at owner's side at all times to protect our trusting wildlife from accidental harm, like our baby pheasants, moose, bunnies, and songbird nests!

On nearly two acres of land, you'll have your own private area to enjoy, including a large fire pit, hammock trees, and perhaps a visit from our neighborhood turkeys and chickens.
Regular wildlife visitors to our woodland include moose, black and brown bears, eagles, ravens, and Steller’s jays.
Busafonte is a "dry" converted mid-size bus equipped with electricity, a water tank, and a private outhouse. A small, fully equipped kitchen and a separate bedroom with its own woodstove provide the perfect home base for relaxing before and after your big adventures.
The Trailer in the Trees is a "90's modern" fifth-wheel camper that includes electricity, water, and an indoor restroom. We’ve provided all the necessities for you, including an equipped kitchen, bathroom essentials, and bedding for the queen bed (bedding for the sofa is also available upon request). The dinette table converts into a short bed—please remember to bring a sleeping bag for this setup!
Our property is just a short distance from town, multiple hiking trails, and outdoor outfitters (fishing, kayaking, and sightseeing). We are happy to offer recommendations and answer any questions to help you make the most of your visit.

This is a 10-acre property along the edge of the north bank of the Klutina River--a major king salmon-fishing stream that flows into the famous Copper River just one half mile downriver. That part of the property used for camping along the river is 3 acres.
This is a SEASONAL location: Memorial Weekend through Labor Day Weekend with NEW LOWER prices. At this time only the riverside sites (south side of the river dike that one drives across) are available for camping or RV parking. We have no power or other hook-ups on the riverside except that water is available on site through a series of new DEC-approved pipe and spigets, along with more fire pits and more picnic tables.
Showers are extra @ $5.00 a person; Laundry tokens: $3.00 per washer load or 40 minute dryer load. Bar on site. Food service coming later THIS 2024 season. WIFI is only on the north side of the dike near any of the overnight rooms or the bar.
We recommend no RVs to exceed 28 feet on the river side of the dike. Very private sites and spread out--far more so than other nearby locations.
The public restroom is on the north side of the dike. AND we have several budget rooms available on the north side of the dike as well. In 2026, these start at $125/night. These all have Dish Net, WIFI, and coffee in the rooms. The bunkhouse, which can handle up to a dozen people, starts at $300/night for 4 persons.
This property is undergoing development. We are adding more picnic tables, burn sites, and water connections for safe camping.
Just to the east, across the Copper River, is the 12 million acre Wrangell-St. Elias National Park. Our property is conveniently located in driving time almost exactly halfway between Anchorage and McCarthy-Kennecott. It is about 3 1/2 hours in either direction.
At the Klutina you can charter a sight-seeing river boat or you can white-water raft from a point several miles up a historic trail that follows the river to its source--Klutina Lake and Klutina Glacier. You can obtain a visitors' license and fish here for salmon. You can also hike along the dike or numerous trails in the area.

We are a professional sled dog kennel that runs a summer tour operation, as well as hosts overnight guest in clamping rental accommodations. We are located just 30 minutes south of the famed Denali National Park & Preserve, right off the Parks highway in the quaint village of Cantwell. We are in a very accessible location that is perfect for those searching for a stay close to the National Park and other local attractions, but far from the crowded tourist areas near the entrance of Denali.
You will need your own vehicle to access our property and get to any nearby attractions, trails, restaurants etc.
At our property you will have the unique opportunity to stay with a real team of sled dogs and book a discounted tour if you want. Your accommodations are cozy, yet rustic, private and peaceful. We are off a gravel road and a short walk to the Jack River or up to the tundra.
We are off-grid so all of our power is generated by generator or solar, and the tent will have a small solar charger for cell phones & tablets, but no large voltage electronics.
We haul all of our water either from the river, a local spring or the gas station so we ask those staying with us are conscious and willing to limit their consumption of water here.
We are in bear country, so while our sled dogs act as very good bear deterrent, we still ask people to be smart when walking around the area or storing food.
Please be respectful of wildlife and keep a safe distance, make lots of noise when hiking.
There is good AT&T and verizon reception here, but we do not offer wifi connectivity so take the opportunity to read a book and disconnect for a bit.
We live on the property and will be able to help from 8 am to 10 pm, so contact us with questions or concerns.

The cabin is a quarter mile from the forest warm springs, and 100 yards down the boardwalk from the baths. Fully equipped with bathroom and cold water, a kayak, fishing rods, a generator and solar. There is a covered deck we use as a kitchen. Please be advised: access only by hiking, floatplane, or boat. Propane lights give heat and illumination. Great fishing for salmon in bay and cutthroat in lake. This is about as remote as it gets! There are no stores, no gas, and brown bears are a concern. Welcome to the most beautiful place on earth.

Sleepy Bear cabin was built as a retreat for my father here in Alaska. Our 1st year listed on Hipcamp our cabin came in second in best places to stay in Alaska with Hipcamp. The last 2 years we were still mentioned in the top 10 with some pretty stiff competition.
Eagle River South Fork trail with stunning views of Eagle and Symphony lakes is a short bike ride away.
Breathtaking Barbara Falls is in our valley 10mins away. You hike up to the falls and feels its breath.
Our Mountain views at 2000' elevation in the alpine forest with the 7000' snow covered peaks at the back of the valley will awe you.
Morning coffee on your private deck alone is worth the trip.
We know you will love our little mountain get away.
I came to Alaska in the 90's with the Coast Guard. It was always my dream to come back. Alaska has a hold on you no other place possesses. Since our move back almost 6 years ago, our family has blossomed. We love living here and want to share our love of Alaska with others.

Caryn’s Busafante was an excellent option for us just outside of Seward! Spacious and dry, added bonus of the wood stove for post adventure warm ups, sweet fire pit outside, and Caryn went out of her way to give a ride back in to town upon checkout! Staying in a converted bus was a true AK experience, highly recommend!!!

Busafonte was comfortable and quiet. We liked the old bus vibe! Me, my partner and our two terriers enjoyed visiting. I brought a sleeping pad and that gave us plenty of room when it was time to sleep. We would like to come back when it’s chilly enough to use the stove!

The most beautiful cabin I have ever stayed in! Views across the water are incredible, farm is so peaceful and lovely, waking up to birdsong and being visited by a moose and her babies at night. Mossy is a wonderful host. Hope I get to return at some point and bring loved ones!

1 night at Lost in the Woods
I had a lot of fun and stayed warm and cozy at the Busafonte. It is private and nestled in the woods but only 7 mins from downtown Seward where I had to be for my activities, great location. The bus is stocked with plenty of perfectly sized wood pieces and kindling for the wood stove and has an easy to use foot pump system for using the sink. Caryn came out and greeted me and made sure I had everything for a nice stay, thank you so much for your hospitality! I loved staying here!

Baranof warm springs is a treat. It’s a special little boardwalk escape. The falls are loud and powerful. The natural springs are stunning and all the visitors we interacted with were lovely. The bed was super comfy and the heater kept us more than warm at night. It was nice to be able to make coffee and tea in the morning and have sugar there!

Tough to give the description as needed without pictures and the feel of a fresh warm breeze coupled with the constant sound of one of the most impressive water falls in SE AK.. The cabin is small but efficient. Easily accessible from the float dock. The hot springs surpassed our expectations and were the best we have experienced in SE and we have enjoyed most all of them!
