Old Burleson Camp

City Water is available. Good trails for horses, ATVs, walking, etc. Very quiet place off the main highway but still close to a small town (Red Bay, AL). Local attractions are Tiffin Motorhomes (RV plant), a national equestrian trail in Hodges, AL, decent deer hunting, bass fishing and boating at Elliot Branch, Williams Hollow state park, etc.  All of these are part of the Bear Creek reservoir system of Franklin county, AL.
Deer hunting, Squirrel hunting allowed within the Laws of the State of Alabama.
Horses are allowed to stay temporarily but no fenced in areas are available.Learn more about this land:Plenty of open space for a tent, RV, camper, etc.  City Water available. Leads to a trail head. Seven miles to a small town (Red Bay, AL) that has restaurants, grocery stores, etc.  Trail hiking is allowed.  Horses are allowed temporarily but there is no fenced in area for them to graze.Local attractions are Tiffin Motorhomes (RV service center), a national Equestrian Trail, fishing at 3 different dam areas.  FEMA-approved, In-ground tornado-storm shelter.  Deer and squirrel hunting allowed within State of Alabama game laws.

Shoal Creek Natural Farm

My son had cancer which motivated us to find a perfect place to live well and grow our own food. We have a five-acre grove of various fruits. A greenhouse and gardens. Appx 100 chickens, goats, sheep, llamas, ducks and vicious geese.Seasonal fruits and vegetables available. Eggs most days. Other specialty products depending on my time and interest.Learn more about this land:We have an island on a canoe/Kayak Creek. Our working farm with goats, sheep, chickens, geese and more is separated by a fence. The appx 8 acre bluff over a diving rock into the Creek. Nature provides groundhogs, deer, birds of prey and many others. Bass and trout laugh and feel safe from me. If you hike you’ll love this. We rappel down the bluff with a simple rope. The island could support volleyball or similar activities if so inclined. 

I can’t tell you what lurks in this cave.

Wayland Springs, prior to 1800's was Cherokee land, gold was found, and Indian relics, even today are regularity unearthed for those who pursue the hunt.  The 1800's brought general stores, banks, hotels, hospital, blacksmith, tanner, iron ore mining and a rail line put in.  Rail line is now gone but so much history remains.Preceding the Civil War Wayland Springs was known as a resort for health and pleasure.  Word of mouth had people traveling great distances to come drink from our natural springs with the reputation of possessing valuable medicinal qualities. Today, still, the locals enjoy the springs and many of us regularly drink this delicious tasting water.Wayland Springs Cemetery is on property site  & guests are welcome to visit, just ask & please remain respectful...very old stones, some from 1800's.Fast forward to present and I find myself creating a play place for families, friends and loves ones to come, enjoy our beautiful space and make everlasting memories.  When you visit & camp with us we want your experience to be all you hoped for and find yourselves wanting to return year after year.  Thank you & blessings to all.Learn more about this land:Pick your perfect spot on our 30 acres!  There are large fish in the Branch. Which is on private property so you can fish without a state license.

is located on a working farm. The horses are usually in site.
 Campers tell us that the stars here at night are a beauty to behold.
 This is a quiet peaceful place.
 But still minutes away from the conveniences.
 Grocery within 5 miles and numerous restaurants.
