We are currently *under construction*. Our forest was damaged by the draught and so there are changes underway. Please excuse our appearance as we shift toward becoming a food forest.
Solomon's Garden is a 5 acre homestead located in the Black Warrior River valley. Our site is currently under land work construction, as we are recovering from the pine beetle disaster that has ravaged Alabama. Our beautiful pine trees are no more and we are in the process of rebuilding the campground, planting a food forest and adding an additional shower/toilet facility.
We currently have a semi-private camping area in our small orchard that is flat and grassy that we recommend for tent campers on any day. We also have a larger, more remote camp area available on dry days. We expect land work to be complete in June and are eagerly awaiting the grass, wildflowers and native herbs to return following all this spring rain.

We are a small Homestead in Parrish, Alabama. We have lots of silkie and large chickens as well as 4 nigerian dawrf goats. The property is spacious and former home site on beautiful Lake Tuscaloosa. There are full hookups (50 and 30 amp), sewer and water, and Wifi. There is lakefront access via your own personal boat dock, fire pits, and various seating areas. We recently added an outdoor building with washer and dryer, bathroom/changing room, outdoor shower AND a hot tub that overlooks the lake. There is a public boat launch just down the road along with lakefront restaurants and boat rental establishments nearby. There are multiple convenient stores, grocery stores, a Dollar General and even a hardware store just down the road.
At this time, we are allowing guests to camp in our RV on-site (what we call "transient occupancy").

This site is completely primitive for a true outdoor, country feel — real laid-back vibes. No fighting or weapons allowed!

This was my first hipcamping experience and turkey hill made it a good one. The area was clean and well kept, and the host was patient with me when i had confusion about the booking process. There is a nature trail that overlooks the interstate and offers a decent view. Overall good experience.

We had such a fantastic experience at Sunset Hill Farm. The land is so quaint and peaceful l, it really felt like the perfect little escape.
One of my favorite parts was getting to see the goats and chickens in the morning. It added such a fun, charming touch to the whole stay and made it feel really special.
If you’re looking for somewhere relaxing, simple, and full of character, I definitely recommend staying here. We’ll absolutely be back!

I don't usually select RV parks on Hipcamp but there were few options in the area and this one looked pretty good and I needed electric hookup due to the cold weather. This turned out to be a good spot. There was only one other camper there so I was very quiet. Clubhouse and bathrooms are a nice plus. The bathrooms were heated and spotless.

We loved the site. Our entire trip, my husband wanted to be out in the wilderness and enjoy the country view in the morning. We found it at Hilltop. Brian was very responsive and accommodating. We had to make a last minute booking at 9pm and he not only responded immediately, he made sure we were taken care of and had good info and directions. We were easily a le to pull in and get hooked up. In the morning we were able to set up chairs and drink our coffee looking out over the trees. Very peaceful and private. Exactly what we wanted. The kids played while we made breakfast. Then we had fun walking down to the farm and petting the goats. Their dog came out to greet us and was so sweet and fun. The kids played fetch with her. It was a 1-night stop in our travels and the kids are already asking to go back. Thank you Brian and family for a great stop in our vaca.

Due to a family emergency I did not stay at this location. I messaged the owner the morning I was supposed to arrive and let her know. She responded right away and suggested I cancel on the app. I never found the option since it was past the time frame allowed. I look forward to rescheduling a stay as soon I am able.

I loved everything, the women sharing there personal life freely, foraging in real time with an expert guide who gave boundless information & making it fun & easy! Sleeping in a tent is wonderful. The food was expertly demonstrated and the taste was on point. I can't say enough & I would do it again. To say the least the price was just right💯
