While there may be some road noise from County Road 222, especially during daytime hours, it typically tapers off in the evening and nighttime.
Enjoy stunning views of the 4th of July fireworks from Smith Lake Park, as our property provides a prime vantage point.
Lewis Smith Lake, managed by Alabama Power, spans 21,000 acres and is the deepest lake in Alabama at 264 ft. The water level varies throughout the year, usually reaching full-pool from April to July before gradually decreasing for the autumn and winter seasons. Please note the rocky shore near the sun deck, which is why jumping or diving from the sun deck is prohibited.
The nearby City of Cullman, located approximately 10 miles away, offers abundant shopping, dining, and entertainment options. Additionally, the city hosts numerous festivals throughout the year, including the Strawberry Festival in April, Octoberfest in October, and Christkindlmarkt in November & December.

The Dry Bones Live (Ezekiel 37).
The first visit in 2019 to this 21 acres was both a shock and a confirmation. It had everything on our check list and more - nearly flat land, convenient location, but also twice the acreage, a roadbed, diversity, Monarch butterflies everywhere, access to a big lake.....and it was littered with logs!! They were in piles and scattered everywhere.
But this particular land was being placed in my hands to steward and to reveal the creativity and loving nature of Yahweh. And that meant not bulldozing or burning the logs. Instead, the task was to breathe life into the logs and the land through gentle stewardship to protect the biodiversity and build good soil. Breath of Life Farm is being regeneratively developed to cultivate elderberries, vineyards, peaches, mushrooms, and small plantations of trees for wood or nuts.
My sister, Pam, and I hope that visitors will come to enjoy the seasonal changes of flower colors, watch for foot and hoof prints of wildlife, enjoy the songs of the birds and the frogs, see how many different native mushroom species they can spot, and be marveled by the stars as they sparkle in the dark night sky.
Our wish is that through the years, folks return to see the changes and positive impact of regenerative farming practices. To be a witness to the life breathed into this land. We hope you will be inspired, uplifted, strengthened, and energized by the story of Breath of Life Farm.

I truly enjoyed my time at the site. We got in super late, around 10pm, and still were able to find everything we needed for our stay. The host has thought of everything, providing simple instructions, rapid replies to questions/concerns, and has a handy assortment of site amenities that would make any experienced camper sigh in relief, and a newbies like us say "holy cow that's so smart!".

I really enjoyed tent camping on Rachel’s land ! Everything was clean and beautiful. The hot shower was fantastic and having electricity on demand was great also! Firewood was provided although… I didn’t get a chance to use it only because the winds were blowing so much, I didn’t want to be irresponsible. I read where people mention the road noise…I think the key is getting there early enough and after a little bit, you kind of don’t notice it. Now, if you got there right before or at nightfall, it might be an irritant for a little while but… it dies down dramatically. It felt extremely safe and private. Upon getting there, Rachel’s dad and husband, met me at the gate, unlocked it and showed me everything I needed to be shown. How to use the hot shower, which was easy, how to turn on the power and use the electricity box, which was also easy also. The box had a 50-30- and 4 standard outlets …so you were covered all the way around as far as being able to have electricity for your tent or RV or pop-up! Also, there was a water outlet with drinkable water and three additional outlets for water…Note… it was great having a light switch on the electrical box, which turned on the lights goingacross the camping area! Right before they left, I was given the key to the gate and told to call if I had any issues or questions whatsoever, so I could lock and unlock the gate anytime ! Great place and great people! My two night stay in #3 was just what I needed while in the area. Sites are all pretty private in that you have some distance. More great sites are further down the farm road and in the forest. There was some traffic from the local airport and a little noise from houses nearby, but nothing too much. Pinned to Favorites.

Brian's location is a perfect 10. I arrived in sub freezing temps. Brian insured that I had a hookup for small electric heater. Grounds are very relaxing and plenty of room for my dog to run. Hope to make this an annual stop as I travel.

Have visited this site several times, we have enjoyed it every time and we will definitely be back several more. Always clean, quiet, plenty of firewood, outdoor shower, a clean grill to use. Water and power provided. Host is very nice and helpful.

I liked that I got a notification that I could order ice and water (there were some items) and the water and ice were waiting when I arrived. That’s a really cool feature.
