We currently have primitive tent camping that can easily fit 4-5 tents or hammock camping.
Both options sit alongside Sofkahatchee creek. We have 15 acres of untouched forest to wonder through and help you reconnect with mother nature. It’s my favorite spot for meditation and grounding.
The sky is amazingly dark around here and stargazing would be at the top of my list of things I love about the property.
This area is full of wildlife. Raccoons, deer, turkey, possums, armadillo, snakes, and even bears. I haven’t personally ran in to any bears but they have been sited.
So, who knows what you will befriend while in the wild.
The camping areas are very private. It’s part of a 50 acre lot that has recently been cleared and in the process of reseeding and preparing for a pond and farm life. So, sorry if you run in to anything that isn’t picturesque but your camp site will be beautiful and peaceful.

There are so many little towns near by. Our little town of Wetumpka is only 9 miles down the road. It was featured on HGTV's Hometown Takeover in 2021, was featured in the movie Big Fish and is a picture perfect town, with many locally owned shops and restaurants. It's located right on the Coosa River, where you can kayak/canoe (coosariveradventures.com), launch your boat or fish year round at Gold State Park which also has a fantastic play area for kids with a nice walking trail that goes along the river. Stop in at Coosa River Craft House or Coosa Cleaver for refreshing adult beverages and live music. Look for the Big Fish house. It's the big white house on the hill.
We are 9 miles from Lake Jordan and 11 miles from Lake Martin.
Fort Toulouse National Historic Park is 25 minutes away. There you can tour over 6,000 years of history. You can tour the French and American Forts or the Mississippian Indian Mound site, or just relax and take a walk along the trails.

Just 15 minutes east of us is Swayback Bridge https://www.riverregionmtb.org/swayback-bridge-trail. There are five loop trials available, ranging from 1 miles to 11.2 miles. You can hike or bike them. The bridge is 290 feet long and goes over Lake Jordan.
Wind Creek Casino Wetumpka is 10 miles and Montgomery location is only 16 miles from our property, if you want to chance your luck with some gaming.

Great spot. Pretty level, heavily wooded on two sides. Stream running past is very clear and had fish. Meadow with small trees and mixed forest to the north. Lots of critters: squirrels, deer, muskrats, rabbits and a bull snake. The birding was outstanding. Directions were clear. Perfect setup for boondockers.

This is an excellent, level, mulched campsite with electricity and water. Although there is no shade or bathhouse, the peaceful, serene surroundings contribute to one's satisfaction and equanimity. One has access to an excellent, outstanding fire ring complex with a protective gravel perimeter and a pic-nic table, all shaded. One has the company of chickens. One has easy access in and out of the property. One hears no highway noise as the interstate is about 10 miles away. Losing access to this opportunity means losing out on a treasure. Outstanding! Dustin has built such a lovely place here at Parksland. The cabin was exactly as advertised, if not better. We had everything we needed. We would definitely stay again and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. We hiked the trails, enjoyed the Friday night meal, toasted in the sauna on Saturday night, and stayed up chatting with several other folks in the lounge area by a roasting fire while it drizzled on the metal roof. Most visitors during our stay participated in the clothing optional invitation (in case you were curious). We met some people who had visited before, but the majority who were there during our time were newcomers like us. If you have the opportunity to visit - go! You won’t regret it. It’s serene and warm and inviting in every wonderful way possible.

Beautiful, peaceful property with well-spaced sites. The owner was very welcoming and made a great first impression.
We booked P3 but stayed at P2 with our group, and it ended up being an excellent site—great water access, enough space for two 6-person tents, and falling asleep to the sound of the creek was a highlight.
There are no videos of the hike down or back up the hill—trust me, you’ll need all your strength (especially if you’re not already a hiker 😂). Pack light—then pack lighter. These are definitely backpack-style sites. We used a shower bag because going back up the hill at night wasn’t happening.
Plenty of trails on the property, and you’re also close to Majestic Caverns if you want to explore nearby. We’d absolutely stay here again.
