The sky is amazingly dark around here and stargazing would be at the top of my list of things I love about the property. This area is full of wildlife. Raccoons, deer, turkey, possums, armadillo, snakes, and even bears. I haven’t personally ran in to any bears but they have been sited. So, who knows what you will befriend while in the wild. The camping areas are very private. It’s part of a 50 acre lot that has recently been cleared and in the process of reseeding and preparing for a pond and farm life. So, sorry if you run in to anything that isn’t picturesque but your camp site will be beautiful and peaceful. AMENITIES: We want your stay to be as comfortable as possible! For an additional cost, we offer amenities such as tents, towels, bug deterrent, firewood, fire starters, hand warmers, s’mores kits, camping toilet, gold panning kit, games and more. Our little town of Wetumpka is only 9 miles down the road. It's located right on the Coosa River, where you can kayak/canoe (coosariveradventures.com), launch your boat or fish year round at Gold State Park which also has a fantastic play area for kids with a nice walking trail that goes along the river. Stop in at Coosa River Craft House or Coosa Cleaver for refreshing adult beverages and live music. Look for the Big Fish house. It's the big white house on the hill. We are 9 miles from Lake Jordan and 11 miles from Lake Martin. Fort Toulouse National Historic Park is 25 minutes away. There you can tour over 6,000 years of history. We are 20 miles from Montgomery, which is jam packed with civil rights historical sites, museums, a zoo, fabulous restaurants, a riverboat cruise on the Alabama River, a sip and cycle pedal boat cruise

The driveway clearing large enough for a car plus camper or RV. I don't have dimensions, but use the pictures of my Jeep for reference. For now, you must decide if your rig will fit. The driveway ground is hard, but there isn't any gravel on the drive yet, so be mindful of parking during rain or soggy conditions. There is a fire ring and a few chairs to enjoy socializing or plenty of trees to hang a hammock and relax. It was very peaceful and quiet. Although the drive up was a little treacherous, once we were there, it was amazing. The bathrooms and showers were clean. Leigh met us at the house and explained the property and took us to our site. We have a 30ft class c motorhome. The spots are roomy, include electricity and water, a fire pit and picnic table. We took a short hike to the waterfall and enjoyed the quiet.

There is a water spickot in the ground and additional spickots at each corner of the shop.

fabulous!! the water here is so much more grand than we could’ve anticipated. the pond is so scenic and special. leigh was very accommodating, helpful and kind our whole stay. the heated showers and bathrooms were a quiet luxury on cold mornings and nights during our weekend. wonderful time, will be back!

Great spot with full hookups. As a solo female traveling with dogs I felt safe. Well located, Walmart is close by and Birmingham is about 25 miles away. The hosts were very helpful and accommodating. Great communication from both of them. Would definitely stay again if back in the area.

We found the host very friendly. Ross met us and directed us to site 1 . We were able to hook up to 30amp/50 amp service. Water and sewer hook up Such a beautiful site, especially as the sun was setting over a small pond. Horses in the background made a perfect picture. Very quite and easily accessible. I would definitely recommend!

Weekend Trip to Bohamia - Glamp/RV/Camp

We had a great time caping at Bohamia! It was very private and there were so many areas to explore. The bathroom facilities were always clean. We stayed in RV 5 which is PERFECT central location for a large group to gather. Some family members stayed in the glamping tents and they were amazing and well stocked. The pond area is beautiful and the self serve use of boats and floats were a nice touch. Great family trip and we would definitely return!

Beautiful quiet Camp ground. Very safe with gated entrance. Nice hiking trails, fire pits, shower house with hot water, Porto potty, fishing pond, and outdoor cooking station with utensils even books if you want to find a good read while you relax . Caleb and his father were very kind and responsive. We had a wonderful time. There is a store 15 min away if you need anything.
