The cabin was absolutely wonderful! Way out in the mountains you are surrounded by beautiful Aspen trees and stunning mountain views. The cabin was so comfortable, cozy and warm (even in the dead of Winter)! The kitchen comes fully stocked with dishes and appliances and there is no shortage of books to read and land to explore. We loved our stay!

Thanks for a great few days at your cabin, Shawn. Wonderful view, great fireplace, peace and quiet. Just what we needed to get away this Christmas!

This cabin was absolutely amazing. There were hiking trails right by the cabin and the white river was just across the field. It is a working ranch and our host Stephen was gracious enough to check in on us the first night. Fair warning though, the last stretch of getting there if you’re leaving from Denver is brutal. It’s a gravel road that will take you a while to get through. However, it was nice because we saw sheep and cattle in the road and had to gently encourage them out of the way. Overall I would securely stay again.
Our weekend at Shawn's cabin was incredible; a trip I will be talking about for years to come! The cabin was simple and rustic. There was a hot shower, 3 comfy beds, books & games, and plenty of kitchenware. The ranch is an absolutely beautiful property with meadows, streams, ponds, access to the White River, and of course, gorgeous 360 mountain views. Shawn graciously let us fish his private trophy water and ponds. His ranch hands (just about the nicest guys you'll ever meet) showed us the best fishing spots, took us on a horseback ride (which Shawn gave us a discounted rate on), and even joined us for dinner at the Mexican restaurant in town (FYI town is about 40 miles away so if you don't want to leave the property, make sure you bring all the necessities). I cannot express enough how wonderful of a weekend we had on Welder's Ranch. We will definitely be back.

What a surprise. Great private cabin. Great host. We will visit again.

This location is absolutely stunning. We are so grateful to Shawn for accommodating us last minute. The snow is no joke up there, but it makes for a fantastic, secluded winter wonderland. The fire place heats the house wonderfully, and there's plenty of hot water as well as all kitchen supplies! Can't wait to go back in the summer!
Staying at the cabin was so peaceful! So many beautiful nature sounds to listen to and the views from the deck are wonderful! The cabin was great size for my husband and I and our 2 dogs and everything was neat and clean upon arrival. Shawn gave some great hiking recommendations around the area (Big Ridge Trail was the one we chose), we were able to take some awesome pictures and even saw a large group of elk on the hike. Highly recommend, and will definitely be staying again!
We had a great time at Shawn’s cabin. it was stocked with everything we needed and very comfortable. Our dogs had the best time exploring the property and romping in the water. Such a beautiful setting!
