Lost Creek campground is right off of State Highway 70, making it a solid choice if you want to get off of the road (though the road is quite scenic, and a destination in it’s own right). The dominant form of vegetation here is grass, so you won’t have lofty trees to serve up privacy and shade. However, there’s plenty to keep you busy outside. Get your exploration on in the Huston Park Wilderness via the Baby Lakes Trail, get in some ATV riding along Forest Road 811, or pick your own adventure and see what you can find outside. Beautiful mountain land in the Snowy Mountain Range above Elk Mountain WY with a pond, outdoor kitchen, kitchen has propane grill, oven with 4 top burners, blackstone griddle, and plates, pans, kettles, silverware and cooking utensils. very large fire pit. 2 man hot tub for night time soaking and star gazing . 8x12 sleeping quarters with a full bed in loft and a futon that makes a bed underneath. Elevation is 9428 ft, and there’s the medicine bow river within walking distance for fishing. The road leading up is a bit rough but if it wasn’t there would be too many people. Lots of wildlife that generally just walk right by you while camping. Very peaceful and private

We are located 4 miles from Routt National Forest. You'll arrive at the ranch headquarters and we will either take you to the sheep wagon or give you directions to it. The sheep wagon is nestled in an Aspen grove (on 56 acres) with a creek just 12 feet away. From there, you are 1/4 mile away from the national forest and the wilderness. There are thousands of acres to explore, either by hiking , biking or horseback riding. You are also just minutes away from great trout fishing lakes and streams. While here ask about ranch tours and visiting with our sheep, horses, cows and chickens! There will be cattle or sheep on the property with the sheep wagon. Please note that cell phone service is very limited in the area.
