Good spot just shy of Steamboat. A bit of road noise from hwy 40. Not bad though. Some bugs but not the end of the world.

The space has a good view if you look towards the river! But behind and to one side of you is essentially a junk yard. The fact that there is a welding company behind is not the problem. That didn't bother me. That's their livelihood. But at least clean up the pile of wood, and some of the junk vehicles. We brought in a 34 ft fifth wheel, it was at tighter in places to get to the spot. The highway right below by the river I could hear all night, not too bad, but still could hear it. I feel the photos were a little misleading, but now we know. I woukd probably not stay here again for those reasons.
The host was excellent at getting back to us when we messaged him.

There were no signs to the site, and I got stuck on a dead end road having to do a 3 point turn with a 25 ft trailer to get out.
Once I found the site, it felt like I was staying in a used car junkyard. Didn't feel safe, so I left.

If you’re looking for a safe place to park and sleep, with a beautiful drive to and from Steamboat, this place is perfect. The property itself could be cleaned up a bit to provide a more “camping feel” instead of a “grass hill in a workshop yard”, but it gets the job done if you’re looking for something close to Steamboat.

Good place to overnight. I was confused a little when driving in but everything worked out. Road is nearby but not to noisy especially after 9 pm. We didn’t use the fire pit due to a fire ban but the pit looks good.

I only dropped off a U-Haul trailer to store while I explored Steamboat but the place is in a beautiful location and Taylor was great to accommodate us on short notice!

Easy access, pretty view, quiet, loved not having a lot of people around us so the dogs could play. Owner was very nice and let us come a little early and provide wood for the fire. Definitely would recommend and will come back again

A perfect spot to Winter Camp for an excellent weekend of skiing at Steamboat. Our host Taylor was more than accommodating and super helpful for me and the gang. An easy trip to town, in a nice quiet area with amazing open skies. Would definitely recommend to any van, truck, or rooftop tent campers.

We stayed in our camper van to ski at steamboat and Taylor’s place was perfect for what we needed. About 20 minutes away from the resort. Taylor was quick to respond with any questions we had. We will definitely be back!

Good as a pit stop when you just need a place to sleep, but not great if you want to actually enjoy camping. This site is behind what appears to be a welding shop, so there's lots of random machinery on the property.
It also isn't well signed and the host wasn't communicative, so we ended up just parking our trailer in a random spot because we couldn't find the fire pit when we arrived at night.

For $50 this was a crummy place. No host.
Camping spot was not marked hard to access through tall grass. No facility ( not even a portapotty) road noise at night from Hwy 40.
No obvious trash receptacle. Junky grounds all about.

Private campsite with a fire pit and little patio. Taylor also keeps a wood scrap pile nearby for burning too. Just beware that the grass is pretty tall so a few mosquitos around. The fire smoke and bug spray kept them at bay though, so no real issue. Beautiful views of the hills around!

Overall, this site was good, however, it was not exactly as pictured. It felt like we were camping in someone’s front yard/ junk yard. The site was very close to a house and a workshop, and we could see/hear the highway. I’m not sure what the listing ment when it said there was room for privacy, as it seemed like this was the only place to camp. However, when looking towards the river, the views were beautiful and the location was great.
Overall, this site felt overpriced at $65 total to sleep in someone’s front yard, but we were satisfied with the experience.

The area of Buffalo Ranch was a lovely sight to see with the sunrise and sunset. The grass and soft soil were ideal for tenting and pitching tarps. Also the large open fire pit was great for both cooking and chilling alike. Also the site's proximity to town was a huge win. Very good place to stay.

We winter camped to snowboard at steamboat springs. It was a great option during the peak of the season. If there’s lots of snow you will want a car that can make it through unplowed roads
