At Warren Dunes State Park’s Modern Campground, you can spend your mornings exploring six miles of hiking trails, your days along the beach, and nights up in the dunes. There’s also an incredible dune formation that rises 260 feet above the lake with spectacular views of the lake. The modern campground is closest to the bathrooms and sanitation area—as well as the road.

We do not allow pets for our cabin guests, and we're also a smoke and alcohol free campus. We have boats for rent (kayaks, canoes, row boats, paddle boats). This is not for everyone, but if you want to come and commune with nature and enjoy some peace and quiet, then this is the spot for you!

For a total of 13 options. 2Chicks And A Farm is a small working farm on 20 acres, owned and run by Julie and Theresa Graham. We are 13 minutes from South Haven and the lake. 30 minutes from the city of Kalamazoo. And just under an hour from Grand Rapids. About half of the 20 acres is wooded, which is where three of our camp sites, Hammock Haven are located. Each site has a fire ring & picnic table. One site, capable of taking a mid sized RV / Fifth Wheel, is located on the front of the property with easy access from the road. It backs up to some trails and brush/wood area and has a corn field to the right. So, even though on the front on the property, you have a feeling of privacy. It too has a fire pit and picnic table. Three camp sites are located in the pasture. One is at the bottom of the pasture (1) and quite open. It can accommodate larger groups with multiple tents. A more secluded site (5) is half open and half in light woods., and is located at the top of the pasture. The others are in the middle of the pasture, 2 for sun lovers and 3 for those who prefer more shade. For those who prefer more seclusion, we have cleared three sites in the woods. All sites have a fire ring, or metal fire pit, and picnic table. Some have fire wood boxes (we’re working on making a box for all sites). We have an outdoor propane shower that provides both hot and cold water. This is free. A coffee bar is on the back deck. Coffee is brewing around 7am. We also provide hot water, teas, hot chocolate and cider. Feeling a little peckish before breakfast, or after dinner? Help yourself to a snack. This is all free, though small donations are welcomed. Our goats, poultry, pigs, rabbits, cats and dogs and produce take up about an acre and a half. Then the rest is open space. You are welcome to collect eggs for breakfast and fresh produce from our gardens (additional fee). Use the BBQ or smoker. And even join in on farm chores if you are so inclined. Please try to plan to check-in by 9pm. Exceptions can be made. There are locally mandated quiet hours (10-7 Sun through Thur, and 11-7 Fri and Sat). Hanging out by a fire and chatting is fine.

Wonder Woods RV Park & Cabins

Wonder Woods Campground of the Sister Lakes is a cozy family-owned campground. We have 32 full hook- sites. Each site is newly paved. Each site has a brand-new concrete patio, picnic table, and fire ring. The campground is just a few steps walk from the public beach access of Round Lake. We are located right in the middle of all five of the Sister Lakes. Some amenities offered at Wonder Woods include a playground, basketball court, and ball field. We also have a comfortable game barn, patio, and picnic pavilion. We have brand new shower houses as well! Wonder Woods is located about 17 miles NW of the town of Dowagiac just off the shore of Round Lake. In addition to the full hookup sites, we also have four, brand new, "glamping cabins" available. If you're planning a family gathering, look no further! We have a huge home available for rent. It has SIX bedrooms, FOUR full bathrooms, and TWO full kitchens! Sleek Acres

Sleek Acres is a total of 13 acres, which includes our homestead, our chicken yard and barn, a fishing pond, and over 8 secluded acres to the back of the property where guests can explore (including walking trails). There are hungry catfish and bass in the pond who are always happy to be fed (we provide the fish food). Fishing is allowed, but catch and release only (under 12"), please! A small group of ducks live on the pond and will happily greet you as you walk to the beach. Relax at the beach in the morning as you enjoy your coffee and watch the fish, ducks, and turtles swim in the pond. Fire rings and picnic tables are provided at each site. A small amount of firewood is provided, and additional firewood is available for purchase. We have two charcoal grills available for your use. We provide a bathhouse, which includes a toilet and shower. A handwash/dishwashing station is located right outside the bathhouse. Our chickens are happy to take any food leftovers you don't want! You can walk right up to the fence and they will greet you. You may also see deer, fox, groundhogs, and many beautiful birds in the camping area. Located central to many destinations, we are 5 minutes from All-Sports Koontz Lake; 10 minutes from Plymouth, plenty of shopping and home of the Blueberry Festival (Labor Day weekend); 10 minutes from Walkerton, home of the Falloween Fest (Sept. 26, 27, 28); 25 minutes from Valparaiso; and 50 minutes from Notre Dame. If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing place to camp, yet close to many attractions, Sleek Acres is the place to be! :) (Please note: Check in and out times, as well as quiet hours, are based on central time.)

Berrien County's adorable small towns are known for their special events all year round. My sites are dispersed so first come first choice. Find a fixed Fire Ring and set up your camp! Or pick a spot without a ring - I do have portable free fire pits.

We are expecting our official season with events and all sorts of fun to kick off around Memorial Day but you are still welcome to camp out for a quieter stay in the meantime. Hostel SoHa is two 5,000 square foot buildings on 7 acres of private land in the process of being renovated into the first traveler's hostel in West Michigan. This summer, we are proud to announce we will be opening our first building with indoor pod-bed accommodations on May 15th. Not to worry, campers. There is still plenty of space for pitching tents, car camping, and even more amenities included with your stay. [Apirl 18th Update] Because we are still in the process of opening up a communal kitchen, a larger common area, an improved outdoor fire pit area, showers, and more there may be construction going on during your stay. This likely won’t be a disruption to your stay but we thought we’d give you the heads up. Also note, pictures on Hipcamp may not accurately reflect the space as we make these changes. We are located directly off M-43 and only a 5 minute drive to the beach; downtown South Haven; and Walmart, Aldi, and Meijer. We are also a 5 minute drive from the Kal-Haven trailhead and can help hikers and bike-packers arrange a pick up or drop off from there. The Bangor Train Station is a 12 minute drive and we can also help arrange pick up and drop off from there. This fun and central location is best suited for adults ages 18-35, but we welcome any adult looking for a more social and unique experience. This is a adult/traveler friendly environment and is not recommended for families or individuals looking for a private getaway. Unfortunately, we do not allow anyone under 18 to stay even when accompanied by an adult. The Haven Camping and Outdoor Wedding Venue began in 2022, Our goal is to strive to share the property that God has graciously blessed us with, with the public. The Haven is nestled on 3 acres of beautiful land on the St Joseph River. Our property setting is a hidden gem that opens to the most beautiful natural setting. The land offers a gorgeous view of the river and numerous shady sites nestled underneath a giant array of Oak, Beach and Walnut trees. Here at The Haven, the property has ample space for parking, room for various size camping tents and small pop-up tents small RV's, A dock for fishing, and access for kayaking. Fire pits and grill area for cooking and a complimentary bucket with some goodies to start you off. This setting is perfect for camping in a private nestled nook on the river. We have more than one area on the property to choose from. You can choose any site you would like: The River’s edge, Beach Area (site 1) Small RV and tent site, The River under The Canopy of trees (site 2) small RV and tent site, The Cove by the woods, small camper, and tent (site 4) great views of the river. The Cozy Corner (Site 3) by the woods on the river (this is a secluded corner and very private.) And last but not least our Cozy Camper vintage Trailer that sleeps up to 4 people with all the amenities and can accommodate campers with tents (2) (site 5). Come Stargaze or hangout at the “spot” (dock) comfortably and lounge with views of the water or sit by the campfire at “The Pit.” Every site is first come first serve. Book earlier to get your desired spot! Bring your toys and play in the great outdoors! We have corn hole toss, horseshoe toss, but if you have toys you can use them here, throw the football, Frisbee or play some volleyball or Tether ball whichever! Stayed here for the Apple Cider Century. We also stayed at Site 20 in the Rustic campground; which really is the best, but the bar is pretty low here. Not impressed with the location. VERY noisy traffic and trains all night! Hard to enjoy the wilderness with traffic nearby. The park does have a beach, but I've seen much better in northern Michigan. Probably will not be choosing this campground again.
