A massive flood in Jan 2021 brought 100's of gigantic full sized redwood trees and boulders smashing down thru most of the land and previous structures. It is and will be in the process of rebuilding for many years to come.

Peaceful and private RV camping under the oaks with picnic table, fire pit and Adirondack chairs. We currently have two sites on our property. They are about 300 feet apart and not easily visible from each other. Property is fully fenced; both sites are next to an open field under the oaks with vineyard, olive orchard and mountain views. This property is 30 miles from Paso Robles and almost perfectly centered between Missions San Antonio and San Miguel. Lakes San Antonio and Nacimiento are close by. Coastal towns of Cayucos and Morro Bay are about an hour scenic drive, passing many wineries along the way. There is space for multiple RVs or additional tents sharing your party's RV restroom facilities. Site one will accommodate sixteen people and multiple vehicles. Site two will accommodate ten people and two vehicles. For larger groups we ask that that you book both sites. We have hosted many family reunions and the feedback has been 100% positive. We can accommodate tent campers or car campers. Each campsite fits 4-6 people.
The price is $40/per person. Kids under 12 are free.
Most campsites are accessible by car and all campsites are accessible by foot.
PLEASE NOTE, we do not have a traditional check in procedure. Campsites are first come first serve. Expect a "self-check in process" most of the time. However, there are sometimes people working onsite that you may run into, that are happy to help and lead you in the right direction.
You choose your own campsite so plan to arrive early. You can park and walk around. There is signage that says "CAMP" with Arrows.
BYO water. We have sulfur spring water. Great for your skin, not good to drink!
There's a couple outhouses on the property. One in the main camp zone, one at the far north end of the lower Redwood campsite.
You can also bring a shovel and take a walk if you're in the more remote campsites.
We have a dumpster outside the gate for your garbage.

Please don't mind our farm junk/tools as you enterGate 1! We are slowly working on clean up and relocation of materials from the entry road and away from view.
Before you arrive, have knowledge of poison oak because it is a native plant.
The main photos in the listing are taken from Hipcamp Scouts back in 2018 and they are featuring our Original campsite. This is located past the mineral baths. It's the furthest one to reach, and accessible by foot. I will update photos to depict all the campsites, but please share your photos with us on Instagram and tag @charanspringsfarm to help future campers get a view of what the sites look like with a tent set up!
SULFUR MINERAL BATHS
Include in your experience the use of our sulfur mineral baths. It's $10 per person. PLEASE BOOK THIS AS AN EXTRA AT CHECKOUT.
The mineral baths are 2 funky vintage clawfoot tubs that are pictured in the actual listing.The photos show an accurate description of the Mineral Baths.
They are not located in the main camp zone. Please call ahead to book your time slot and get directions to the mineral baths.

It's primitive camping on a private property with bonuses like the garden, rustic baths, and beautiful nature.
This property has been a working farm for decades, which has struggled with hard times. If farm yards/junk piles make you uncomfortable or give you a creepy feeling, don't book because our boneyard is adjacent to the entry road and it can't be ignored.

Lavender Creek Camp – Quiet Creekside Camping and Lavender Farm Near Arroyo Seco
Just 6 miles from the Arroyo Seco Campground, Lavender Creek is a 70-acre sanctuary filled with valley views, oak-covered hills, and a seasonal creek that winds along a bluff face glowing gold at sunset.
Lavender Creek is also a small, family-run lavender farm that began as a personal story and a passion for sharing the healing benefits of lavender. Our products are used in hospitals and senior living communities, and our mission is to comfort those in need, including patients, the elderly, and care teams.
Each June, our culinary variety of English lavender blooms across nearly two acres visible from the road. We host visitors for U-pick and teach them how to dry lavender at home and cook with it as well.
We also offer wellness activities such as yoga and sound bathing, surrounded by blooming lavender and nature for a restorative experience. Guests relax on yoga mats in the warm sun while vibrations from singing bowls and the gentle hum of bees wash over them.
Campsites are located down by the creek under an oak canopy, where the shade and flowing water help guests stay cool during the warmer months. Hammocks hang by the water so guests can rest, read, or listen to the soothing sounds, and our lavender eye pillows will help you truly unwind.
Parking is available near the lavender field or down by the creek for more capable vehicles. We currently offer three sites near the creek with picnic tables. There are no hookups.

With over 1500 Four star + reviews, our property has hosted thousands of happy guests. Situated on 10 acres overlooking the Salinas River and beautiful Paso Robles estate vineyards, the epic views are spectacular. Comprised of three separate and all private sites, we host guests in our micro trailer, affectionately called The Dream Catcher, our Tiny House, which is a cottage style wooden fairy tale cottage, and our main Bungalow that sits atop one of the best look out points in SLO county.
The Places:
The Dream Catcher is two micro trailers with a large outdoor deck space and cast iron tub in between them. One trailer is sleeping quarters with a mini kitchenette and the other trailer is a full bathroom with shower. The spaces are small and cozy. The views are epic. Overlooking the majestic Paso Robles valley with vineyards with world class views, the spacious deck is the place to be for sunset.
The Tiny House:
A Fairy tale cottage style wooden tiny home built in the 1980's with a bottle wall, full bath, and reading nook. This three story wonder will leave you inspired to step into your own story. Fully equipped with a small kitchen, queen bed, reading nook and two beautiful outdoor decks, you'll feel like you stepped into another world.
The Main Bungalow is a 1970's GEM, built by a movie industry icon with views of the valley through the stunning and huge five windows overlooking the Salinas River. Two bedrooms downstairs and two full baths, accompany a well appointed kitchen. The upstairs loft accommodates two additional semi private queen beds, and additional seating area. Sunrises from the bedrooms are rivaled by few.

Weak to no signal! Plenty of Wildlife with cool and quiet evenings.. The stars will be bright. Rugged setting. Clean portable potty..

Spacious campground with clean bathrooms, nearby beautiful beaches and hikes. Stayed with a large group (20+ and dogs) and there was plenty of room. Great spot for that.

It’s a Beautiful campground and close to the beach; however, there was an extremely rude employee (DANA) that worked at campsite that was overcharging people that reservations and for parking claiming that original reservations were lost. At one point she started screaming at a camper that asked for a refund money back that she had overcharged. So, if you visit, please make sure you confirm all your information and have a printout of it.

Plaksett campground is awesome because it's right across from a huge beautiful beach! Which is some of the only beach access on the big sur coast. Although this campground can be crowded, it has good vibes and I've been many times.

We love Plaskett Creek. its way easier to get a camp spot mid week compared to Kirk Creek. No showers, it can get noisy like a lot of campgrounds. I always carry earplugs and Tequila for that. If you go up the dirt road just south of the campground you will find some dispersed spots.

This campground is incredible! Enjoy a short sunrise hike to the beach each morning and fall asleep to the soothing sounds of the Pacific each night. We were there in late October so the campground was pretty quiet and secluded. It is also a perfect home base for exploring the Big Sur area, so close to numerous state parks, beautiful trails, and miles of ocean views. Highly recommend!!

This place is heaven on earth for me. Sand Dollar Beach is insanely beautiful, not crowded, and great for surfing and beach picnics. My favorite thing to do when camping at Plaskett Creek is to enjoy my morning coffee and evening beers at the edge of the cliff overlooking the beach. There's a spot where people gather (and an adorable wooden seat), but it's quiet and peaceful and showcases the sunset. It's family and dog-friendly. I've camped there with 15 friends and I've also camped there solo. Definitely book well in advance, as this is a popular spot in Big Sur.

Have been camping there for 40yrs. t is a slice of heaven....word of warning though... unless you're an experienced surfer do not attempt surfing off Sand Dollar Beach,.also swimming beware and take care of the riptides ....they can be deadly and have been ......

They stayed SS. S.P. I hope if you seen them you!! You said HI! But they say that the honey huts didn't smell like honey.

If you camping any place close to Cambria make this town your # 1 stop off. Cambria has shops and Good food. Fill your gas tank before you get here. Gas is hi.
The board walk on moonstone Beach is about 2 miles long. This is one of the nicest board walks I have seen in long time.
In the relaxed atmosphere you can reconnect, rejuvenate and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. The wild and pristine environment make it a joy to walk this trail.
What ever you do don't forget the elephant seals. But remember that the seals are wild. They well defend and be aggressive around there pups.
Take the family camping and see the joy in there face.

I hope you well have a change to stay @ SS. S.P.. This park is just 5 miles south of Hearst Castle.
Iam here now and I was so surprised that the showers and bathroom were still closed. It been 2 years now I thought they would be open by now. The dump station is still open ( glad for that ). I took a ride to Washburn campground-what a bone jaring experience (on a unpave road)
But the wildlife is an unforgettable experience. The park has foot trails though out the park and breathtakeing beaches.
This park is neat & clean and well taken care of.
I do hate using chemical toilets. That give the park a dumpy and unclean look.

One of my favorite camp sites. So much to explore. This section of coast is just amazing. Attendant was super nice. Campground was full, but he let me park my motorcycle in the overflow, and camp in the bicycle area.

Ear plugs if you're a light sleeper (lots of kids and group camp sites can get rowdy). Also, there are fire pits and grills in case that helps dictate what goes on your menu!
