In addition to camping and educational tours, we host private and community events, grow and sell produce and eggs, hatch and sell chicks, rescue ratites, and support the local bee population (which gives us RAW honey to sell), and are working to open a private U-pick-by-appointment orchard. We are all animal lovers, and conservationists, and try to do our part to ensure our children inherit a healthy and viable world. This is our home where we live, work, love, and play. It's been a while (camped here in mid-April 2015). This is a nice reliable (and importantly, reservable!) group campsite in the Angeles National Forest. There are some good hikes nearby (our group ran into a big group of day-hikers) and some bouldering in nearby Horse Flats. From what I remember, each site has a different capacity: we were in site 4 which had a max of 18 people, 6 cars; check-in/out is at 11am. Plenty of space, pretty quiet, and a solid option if you're looking to camp with a big group of friends!

Great camping spot with a very pretty hike up to Mount Hillyer adjacent, as well as a creek nearby that is nice. It is pretty secluded from the main road too, which is a plus . I'm definitely planning to go back. MAKE SURE TO CALL AND GET THE GATE CODE from the office during business hours (M-F until 4:30 PM), as there is a combination lock to get in. They do not pick up the phone on the weekends, so if you get stuck try going to the Mount Chilao visitor center and asking them for the code.

Make sure you bring ALL your supplies. If you forget anything there's nowhere close to re-supply (I forgot propane for my cooktop, but luckily our camp neighbors were nice and spared us some).
