Loved it here. Secluded and peaceful. There is a picnic table and fire pit provided. Pretty trail to the river. I would definitely come back here.

Ben’s spot was great, super peaceful and relaxing. It’s beautiful out there. We were the only ones there and the dogs loved running free. Walked the whole stream and back it was an all around great time. 10/10 would stay again. Thanks for everything!

Ben was friendly and hospitable and easy to communicate with. The property was easy to find. It is on a gravel road, but that means not much traffic. The site was quiet and secluded, but felt secure with a gate that is locked at night. A picnic table, Adirondack chair, fire ring and firewood were all included. Great place for a quiet getaway. It is rustic. No electricity available. Bring your own drinking water. Ben did provide a camping toilet which was very nice.

Boondockers Dark Sky Paradise
The property is beautiful. They had 3-4 sites & all were a distance from each other giving everyone privacy. Hiking trails are well maintained & contained several stopping points along the way to enjoy the river or the forest. We enjoyed our morning coffee in the chairs provided by the river. It was nice to unplug & enjoy beauty.

The land was great. Private camping spots for our tow behind small camper. With trails to explore and on a river bend making a pretty view. Has glamping tents on property to rent as well. Our site was a primitive camp site with a fire pit and portable toilet to use. It is in the woods so have bug spray. Beautiful noises of the crickets and frogs as we slept.

Beautiful spot! Easy to find and check in. Space is well maintained and peaceful, with plenty of firewood. Enjoyed walking down to the river in the morning!

Well-kept site about a 2 minute walk to the river, where some deck chairs await you and your morning coffee. Ben has mowed some trails around the property which are a nice way to explore the woods comfortably. Theis site has a picnic table and fire ring, and plenty of room to spread out a few tents or campers. There are a few other camping options on the property but we hardly noticed them from ours.

Spotted a beaver in the river & woke up to hundreds of butterflies & abundant bird song on this gorgeous piece of land! Very private & the kind, communicative hosts provided more than enough fire wood for two night's stay. Loved using the firepit cooking rack. Tent was comfortable & had a fan for the heat- but was slightly less "glampy" than we expected from the photos-- there isn't a french press (or a candelabra). There are extra blankets & a couple games & a makeshift cooking station at the firepit that had some foil /hand sanitizer/ lighter fluid and a "community kitchen" by the dome across a little foot bridge with well water running to a sink for dish washing. *Must bring in own drinking water!* River access is down a slippery, steep embankment and a small ladder that required climbing with hands, feet & full attention-- not the easiest spot to dip in & out throughout the day & would be difficult for folks with limited agility/balance/mobility. Overall a lovely stay and next time we would love to take them up on their kayak offer!

Riverfront Stargazer Bell Tent
My wife and I needed an escape for a bit and found this little slice of heaven. We took or girls out for the weekend who are 5 and 10 years old and they had a blast. There’s trails to walk on the property along with the river right there to peacefully relax by. Up the road was a state park and more kid friendly hiking. We took the kayaks out and enjoyed the water as well. If you’re looking for a getaway and like the idea of your camp site setup already this is it! Thanks Ben for opening up your property for us to enjoy! We will be back here someday for sure.

The Stargazer Riverfront property made for an amazing weekend in the woods. The tent itself was incredibly comfy, cozy, and very well-kept. We loved every bit of it and will be back!

Such a wonderful retreat. Close to the city while feeling a million miles away. Truly a special place that has been well thought out and constructed/decorated to feel like a home away from home. The perfect place to disconnect, listen to the sounds of nature (especially the chattering owls), and get lost in the stars. Would recommend this stay to anyone looking for an immersive escape.

Our stay was fantastic! Ben and family made us feel welcomed and everything we needed was taken care of before we even arrived. The tent is inviting and cozy and the property wild and beautiful. We highly recommend and will definitely return.

Had a lovely stay - Ben and family were very welcoming and helpful, and it's a super-remote, quiet property great for camping. Definitely felt much closer to nature than you will find at most camping sites. Was fun to explore the trails on-site ,and the complete darkness at night made for excellent star viewing.

We really enjoyed our time @ Rooted Timbers (Fern the Fifth Wheel). Ben & Trinh were more hosts than your standard Camping spot... they invited us to the River, to go with them to pick wildflowers & a nearby park for the kids. They were incredibly genuine & kind. The spot itself really has it all! A great campsite, with a play place for the kids, a beautiful short walk to a peaceful river, great amenities in the 5th wheel, along with a great cooking/chill spot outside. VERY peaceful and great setting.
