Description

Promontory Pit Campground is a no-frills camp on Rim Road (Forest Road 300), just above the Mogollon Rim at 7,500 feet. It’s unlikely to be crowded, making it an idyllic spot for soul-searching conversations as you gaze up at those gassy heavenly bodies we call stars. For recreational opportunities, explore the rest of the Mogollon Rim or head to Bear Canyon Lake.
