Tim was really welcoming. Super doggo friendly. I had booked another place (not Hipcamp) that was like Freddy Kruger campground and found myself with nowhere to stay. Tim let me come right up.
The scenery is beautiful!
This would be an awesome place to set up camp for folks who want to rent or bring ATVs! Tim has a rental and maintenance facility right there for you with some cool looking rentals. Note: this is an active business.
I felt VERY safe there! People were great and I had confidence all the ATV noise was keeping any bears away!

We camped for a night in an rv on tims land and it was beautiful. tim was super helpful and accommodating upon arrival. it is a bit of a drive up the mountain with some really bumpy roads but totally worth it.

The sites were as advertised and since it was late in the season we had our choice. The 4+ mile road to site was as well graded a dirt road that have driven on. A good site to get out and be away.

Water at site, good wi-fi, close to CD trail, national forest. Not sure I would have found it without help from a passing local and Joel being at the shop to point out where I needed to go. Caters to off road vehicles, so if that’s not your thing, just a basic place to park with a portapotty. But perfectly fine to stay for a night. Thanks Joel!

The views climbing the mountain on 5 miles up the mountain were beautiful, when we turned in to the mountain and rental shop we lost them all. We were right next to the dirt road and the dust and noise from the quads was insane. Also be careful of the #2 electric- it wired with reverse polarity so we had to use electric from site #1.

Everything is as advertised. Great Host, very accommodating.
Elk were grazing in the meadow nearby one morning. Would make a great base camp for ORV enthusiasts wanting to explore the trails and roads nearby.

Fairly secluded spot in the mountains - note it is a bumpy slow ride for 5 miles off the beaten path. Access to ORVs and trails but we didn’t use them- seemed like a popular activity this time of year though. Joel and the whole crew were very welcoming - let us use his van to get to the local restaurant which we visited both nights. Paid a few bucks to take a shower at the hotel on the property which was a nice bonus.

It's been a long time since I've dealt with someone as interesting, caring and accommodating as Joel. Everything went beautifully. The drive up, the views, hospitality and campsite. All was ready when we got there, Joel is very well versed on the interesting local history and is willing to share if you ask. Very pleasant stay, wished we had more time. He's got plenty of side by side rentals too. If your in the area, camp, rent an ATV, just have fun?

While the site is better suited for RVs and trailers, we had a great time tent camping here! The land was nice, there were plenty of cute dogs around, and beautiful views of the mountain. It was the perfect base camp for our travels to the Tetons and Yellowstone. Joel was very friendly and quick to respond to any questions

The site was a little too close to the long term RV. But that's my camping pet peeve. The folks were friendly and helpful in directing my to places to hike. And good, free coffee.

We lived staying here. It was beautiful and open. Right on the national forest line with tons of water and trees. Also, on our way in we got a flat tire on our trailer and Joel helped us fixed it which we really appreciate!!

Very nice people. Electric and water a boon. And a nice view if you’re looking in just one direction. There’s a lot of development/building taking place on this road. It’s a dirt road up to the spot but fairly easy to maneuver. Convenient to town.

We camped here in order to be closer to home (Denver) but within proximity to yellowstone and grand tetons. It worked just fine, but it's just a lot, no special views or anything (except on the drive up, where the views are gorgeous). There is electric, a porta potty, wifi, and free coffee. Definitely not a remote/fully in nature feel. So it works, but if you want to be immersed in nature or have nice views to wake up to, keep looking!

Highly recommend. It was gorgeous with great amenities like internet and an on-site store and bar in case you forget anything or want a drink. The host was very welcoming. There is also a beautiful river nearby where my friend and I enjoyed the sunset. Would stay again.

The site was not very welcoming, and the next morning the host offered to bring out coffee, and after 45 minutes never did. The site of fine if you need a quick place to crash for a tent, but the target audience is for rvs.

It was fun driving up mountain and seeing how far up we had come. We had a grassy site and views around meadow were pretty. My dog loved being able to run free. Cool mountain air was great. Hosts were great. Enjoyed our stay

Unfortunately, I didn't investigate enough as to the road to the camp. We were on a Harley and didn't want to make the 5-mile trek on the bike. I let Joel know and he was completely understanding. Next time through, if we are in the vehicle, I will look this up again!

Absolutely gorgeous views. Very friendly people. UTVs available for rent if that is your thing. A little hairy getting to the site as it is gravel and switchbacks, but worth the trip up. Lots of wildlife to see.
