Shacks at Kardella is a 47-acre lifestyle farm close to the beach at Indented Head on the Bellarine Peninsula.  Our property has cows, goats, miniature horses and plenty of native birdlife.  Walking distance to the beach and general store/post office which sells coffee, beer, wine and other essentials. The campsite is 500 metres from the Indented Head boat ramp.  Come and enjoy our peaceful slice of the thriving Bellarine Peninsula!  Campsites have no amenities so campers need to BYO everything (including drinking water and camping toilet) and leave no trace.  Dog friendly. We offer general camping a garden glamping bell tent.

Come and enjoy our peaceful slice of the thriving Bellarine Peninsula!  The Top Paddock is the most secluded part of the property and offers nice sheltered camp sites. Perched near the highest part of our land it has the best view and offers intimate access to protected native vegetation.  Whilst it's the furthest area on the property from the beach, the beach is still very accessible via a 500m scenic walk. Alternatively, take a short walk up the hill and enjoy a great sunset with the beverage of your choice!   Also nearby is  the Indented Head boat ramp, as well as the general store/post office which sells coffee, beer, wine and other essentials, Campsites have no amenities so campers need to BYO everything (including drinking water and camping toilet) and leave no trace. We are dog friendly, and kids aged 5 or under are free!  Please use social distancing practices when interacting with other guests.

Come and enjoy our peaceful slice of the thriving Bellarine Peninsula!  The Bottom Paddock offers the best access to the beach, a cruisy 150m walk. It's also the best place to stay for those with a caravan/motor home set up as it offers great open space with well kept grass. The bottom paddock boundary is closest to neighbouring properties but has ample space for privacy.  Just nearby is the Indented Head boat ramp, as well as the general store/post office which sells coffee, beer, wine and other essentials, Campsites have no amenities so campers need to BYO everything (including drinking water and camping toilet) and you must take all waste with you, please leave no trace.  We are dog friendly, and kids aged 5 or under are free!  Please use social distancing practices when interacting with other guests.

Stay in relaxing comfort in a large 5m bell tent in a farm garden setting, situated adjacent to the main residence. The space offers a custom-built, private toilet/shower facility, queen size bed, carpet, luxurious linens, in-tent tea & coffee and other amenities. Enjoy lounging in the beautiful garden with outdoor seating or take an easy stroll to the beach. This is a great location for anyone attending events in the area or simply needing a quiet break from city life.  BBQ available upon request. One pet per stay is welcome but a $20 cleaning fee will be charged, please add the pet cleaning fee in the “extras”  tab.  Additional guests can be accommodated in a couple of ways - shoot us a message to find out more!

Great open area which felt like we had the whole paddock to ourselves. It was very close walk to the pier & bay area in a holiday friendly area. Loved exploring the Belarine Peninsula with Queenscliff being nearby.

Great site for using as a base for visiting beaches along the Bellarine Peninsula. Not far from the Bellarine Coastal Trail for a mostly easy walk to St Leonards (2.8 kms) and beyond. Sites are relatively flat with plenty of room, can be windy at times. Damian kindly provided a fire pit for my use.

Fantastic flat grassy sites, heaps of room, and well spread apart. Alli and Damian are great hosts and were more than happy to help with anything we needed. 5 minute walk along a pretty country lane way to the beach which we did everyday. Also took the longer 45min walk along the beachside trail to St Leonard’s pub for a few drinks, steak, and a Parma. Fantastic! Will be back!

This amazing camp ground is pristine, quiet and private, awesome walking access through the property to the beach front with amazing walking tracks that contour the water line. Damian, Ali and family are exceptional hosts and nothing is too much of a problem. The pricing is as good as the property itself.... definitely the best priced hipcamp I've stayed for the location without a doubt! I'm a multiple return camper and will be back again!

This stay was exactly what we were searching for after SOT. Wide open paddock, close to towns and plenty of room for the pups to run. Damian and his family were exceptional hosts and very kind! We will definitely stay again and recommend to anyone travelling that way!

Shacks Paddock is immaculately cared for, the sites are mowed and are enormous, in an amazing location away from the Hussle and bussle and the value can't be beaten and Damian is an incredible host provided by fire pits to your site for free....this will definitely be a regular!!

Amazing place for our first time staying at a farm. Damien the host greeted us when we arrived and welcomed us and also provided us with a fire pit. The farm is in walking distance to the beach and local shop. This is in a great location and highly recommended. We will definitely be coming back and staying again

Damien was such a fantastic host — super lovely and incredibly accommodating. He made us feel right at home and even offered us a fire pit, and had a chat with us explaining the farm and the animals he has on it which made our stay even more special (including some of the beautiful visiting bats and black parakeets) The location is absolutely stunning. We woke up with a mild sea breeze while looking over the beautiful farm. It was peaceful, spacious, and just what we needed to unwind. There’s so much room to spread out, and the whole vibe is just pure serenity.

We had a lovely time at Kardella. The Bottom Paddock was very close to the beach and the walking track along the foreshore. Damian was a great host and we would definitely return.

Loved it so much I booked a second night! Amazing location, across the road from the water, bike paths, and toilets. Huge property with limited sites so lots of space to yourself. Damian goes above and beyond to make you feel welcomed, including lots of local suggestions on what the area has to offer. 10/10!

We were in the top paddock and for most of the week had it to ourselves. Good walk down to the foreshore, which our pooches enjoyed. Peaceful. If you enjoy stretching your legs then you will like this spot.

This was a terrific last minute find .Situated on beautiful farm land with animals (little horses, goat's and cows). Also a quick 5 min walk to the beach. The host was write on to any enquiries and information. He greeted me and showed me to the sight. Damian helped me in hitch the van as I have painful hand injury.

What an absolute hidden gem! Friendly host. Beautiful surround nature, stunning walk to the beach. The most amazing bird life (black yellow crested Cockatoos) (sunrise/sunset) couldn’t ask for more… 10/10 We will return. Thank you, Sandra & Tony
