2nd time at Hardscrabble Hill this summer. Such a peaceful, beautiful private site. Enjoyed hiking a portion of Horseshoe Trail which is accessible from the property. Great campfires, wide open starry sky, beautiful hilltop views. Thank you David for sharing your land with us. We will absolutely be back.

Love camping here with my dog, so much room to run and beautiful view.
This was a great private site on a hill, giving a sense of complete solitude. Full hook-ups, great communication. Even better, two state parks were only 25 minutes away. I plan on going back soon!
This campsite is what you dream about when you begin vanlife with your dogs. Views, fresh water, privacy, space for dogs to run off-leash, electricity, quiet, a gracious host, proximity to incredible food, and the sense that you are fully immersed in nature, make this a place to remember and think about visiting again in the future. Thank you, David!

Hardscrabble Hill
We love staying at Hardscrabble Hill. It’s a secluded singe campsite in a clearing at the top of the hill with full hook ups and the dog can run and play off leash.
I love this place, very quiet and beautiful, David always responds and ready to any help. I hope I'll come back again to this place.
Hardscrabble Hill is a gorgeous, peaceful spot. We have a 36' Class A, and tow a Jeep, which we easily navigated up to the level campsite on this beautiful private hilltop. Hookups were perfect. Good firewood, nice fire pit and open sky made for some great nights. The site is surrounded by woods, open fields and an abundance of local wildlife. Lots to do in the area. Located within close proximity to stunning local parks (good hikes & bike trails) and Valley Forge National Park. David was a great host. We will definitely be back!

Very quite site, nice view, plenty of room to let the dog run.
Awesome spot! Stayed one night and loved the seclusion and that we could have the dogs off leash.
Plus full RV hookups! Would highly recommend this site if you want privacy and beautiful surroundings.
The camp site is great and nicely outfitted with benches, campfire pit and picnic table. Plus power, water and sewage. However, I was very stressed by the road to the camp site. If my rig had been any longer, I would not have been able to negotiate the curves and narrow road. My goosneck is 33 ft nose to tail and I was pulling with a crew cab F250 truck.

Hardscrabble Hill was a perfect get away to explore Chester Springs and the area. The campsite is well maintained and has easy to use hook ups. It is scenic and quiet. Lots of good restaurants and places to explore in the area and tons of walking/hiking trails. I would love to come back some day!
Hardscrabble Hill was exactly what we were looking for peaceful, quiet, clean, serene, exceptional view, hiking trails, and off leash for our dogs. The true full hookup spot was level and pull thru. It was perfect and we’ve already booked another trip. Our host David was quick to respond to our request for firewood as well. One sidenote, you are on top of a hill so it was breezy and a little windy. Take precautions if you’re going to put your awning out.
Very peaceful and neat and level. Great view and site with full hookup was easy to set up at and leave after trip.

We loved camping here! David was very helpful and even helped us pull our trailer down the road when we were having truck issues. The spot was amazing and had a great view, full hook ups, and a nice fire pit! We would definitely stay here again!

We loved the location, ease of setup and level land. The view was beautiful and the main house is set far enough away to feel super secluded yet safe!
Very private! Amazing views, easy access to hookups thoughtfully set up hookups. Friendly and responsive host. 10/10 no notes. This is the BEST listing on Hipcamp. Wish we could have stayed longer.

The camping spot itself is so nice! The views are amazing! They even have the sweetest little sets of lights going from the driveway up to the camping spot.
Unfortunately, I got stuck trying to pull my camper up their street. But the host David was amazing and he went and got my camper and brought it all the way up to the campsite for me! I couldn't have asked for any more hospitality.!!
Fantastic site. Completely private with lots of space. Full hook-ups that all worked great. It was so nice to have plenty of space to spread out and relax without having to worry about neighbors.

This was an unbelievable spot. The scenery was gorgeous and the site was a dream- you’re at the top of a hill with stunning views but the clearing itself is flat and level with full hookup facilities, fire pit, picnic table and even trash & recycling bins onsite. We arrived after dark but David’s instructions were clear and the path is well defined with small solar lights that were bright enough to indicate the driveway but dim enough that we could still see all the stars at night. We loved visiting the dairy farm down the road and watching the birds in the trees surrounding the site. It felt like a private piece of paradise. Thank you for sharing your land with us!
