Great Place to Camp!
Campsites are right on a nice little lake. Don’t be concerned about the sound of the pump running, it’s barely noticeable and they turn it off in the evening. What I appreciated the most; it’s far enough “out” that you feel like you’re in the wilderness, but not so much that you’re listening for the banjo music. I look forward to going back again.

Great campsite
Had a great time camping here. Right by the water nice and peaceful. Even with the youth retreat happening up the hill Saturday morning/noon time, I had a great time relaxing and enjoying nature.

Pretty but roughing it
Sites were great! We used the fire pit every day and loved walking down to the lake. Bathrooms were a little rough as they are right next to the woods.

Be the first campers there
The trip was okay. If you plan on staying within Geneva Hills for the day then do not stay at Fish Tale as it is right next to the water pump thing. Blue Gill is the only site I would recommend as it is flat with plenty of space and away from the noise. We stayed at the Bass campsite and there was trash around the perimeter.. can’t really blame the hosts for that but it should still be mentioned. The fishing was good and there was enough privacy between each campsite. The bathrooms are decent and there seems to be plenty of stuff to do within the campgrounds alone. All in all, you can stay at a state park for half the price.

Good short weekend trip from Cbus
Good camp sight for a larger group. Plenty of shade for a hot day. Not real close to pond. Running water spigot and pit toilets are close by gazebo. Someone may have gazebo rented but probably won't mind you filling up water jugs

Back to the basics, camp done right
The campsites are smaller but functional. They have mulch in the them so not too muddy. We stayed in Bluegill. I'd recommend 4x4 vehicle. The road is steep in places and some of the campsites are below the grade of the road (a hill for all but one). Short walk to Pool bathroom which is flush but no hot water and the exterior door on women's restroom was broken and missing. The bathroom at the welcome center was very nice, clean and had hot water. Campsites were very clean and maintained. Surprised at the vehicle traffic all evening and thru the overnight hours, many cars that were not in the tent sites, presumably at the lodges. Noise was minimal otherwise. Overall a great place to stay, especially for seasoned campers. We had a great time and will ge back.

Not a great experience
It is very primitive and the campsites small and not pet friendly as it is really muddy and due to the ravines and hills, not a space that is easily walkable. The site we camped at was very close to a cliff, so not a place I'd recommend for families. There is an unmarked and sewage draining ditch covered with grass near the pool house that our vehicle got stuck in and had to be pulled out by a tractor. Thankfully the gentleman pulling us out was awesome and helpful. Not much to do In Terms of activities and not easily my drivable. We left after one night. We won't return

We loved Robin Pavillion
Our men's group stayed at Robin Pavillion. Great site! Plenty of space, great picnic shelter, beautiful surroundings. Quiet and private. The shelter actually had lights and electricity, which I didn't expect. I expected the water pump to be well water, but seemed like tap to me -- very clean. Overall, a great experience!

Great spot to have our puppy’s first camp trip since the other sites weren’t full. It was pretty loud from the event group through 12:30am but eventually they settled down.

Camping at Summer Camp
We loved tent camping here. It feels like summer camp as a kid. Very nostalgic and beautiful. We brought kayaks and it was a short drive to the canoe launch on the lake. The lake is smaller, but we had lots to explore! The bathrooms had plumbing and electric so it was quite luxurious! Even has a shower, but we didn’t try. We saw lots of wildlife as well: raccoons, box turtles, and so many birds! We will be coming back.

A quiet weekend trip with the pups!
Great little campsite! This was indeed quite a "hidden gem" located within an hour of Columbus. Campsites are first come first serve, so don't look too far into the site number you receive when booking. Be aware that the roads leading back to the campsites turn into dirt shortly after turning off the main drive, and they can be tricky if the weather is wrong - there was a single Sedan (Subaru) back at the campsites but the rest were either SUVs or trucks like myself. High ground clearance recommended to avoid any bumper damage or potentially getting stuck if the roadway is wet. Campsites were clean and seemed relatively well maintained. The first campsite we were going to claim had a very soft landing that the truck started to sink into upon entry - looked like uncompacted backfilling from washout, using wood shavings from a large grinder. Given the weight of my vehicle (6,000lbs,) we decided to switch campsites to avoid digging it out if we got stuck. With this being said, I enjoyed our stay immensely. The baby-offroading vibe we got coming back was a great start to the weekend, and had our truck not been so heavy we would've stayed at the first campsite no questions asked!

In my humble opinion there were only two campsites that I would consider walleye and bluegill. The other ones were not level and that's one of my pet peeves. The campsites were clean shower up by the welcome center was clean the one down by the pool was okay. There really wasn't that great of view of the lake which I thought was a little misleading.

Camping at it's finest!
What a beautiful, serene setting! A chance to relax in the gloriousness of the world around us. To hear mother nature's background and praise the wonder of it all. Loon Camp Site is tucked back in the woods and is fairly secluded. And it's a fairly big site, enough for several tents. It is slightly sloped however, with not too much grass as cover. Still, a very nice, secluded, (but still accessible) camp site. And what a cool campground the rest of the place is!

Sleepless
There must have been an event that evening. It was exceptionally loud well past midnight, and kids were yelling and screaming until 2am.

We stayed at the Robin Pavilion campsite, and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone interested in a nice tent-camping weekend! It was nice because we had a lot of space as well as a shelter with 6-7 tables - ideal in case it rains. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Great spot!
This was a great spot. I took my dog here for his first camping trip. And, it couldn't have been a better choice. The campsite was very spacious and not too far from the pit toilet. Pit toilets were clean (for pit toilets). A couple of things that I think would be useful for future campers to know: There was some (very small amount and easy to spot) poison ivy at the site but the site was large/spacious enough that it was easy to avoid even with needing to tie up the dog away from it. This spot isn't on the lake so there is no view of the water from the campsite. This was on a traditional campground so there was noise from other campers. Playing basketball and laser tag. Th noise didn't bother me as it was a lot less noise then some campgrounds. The hosts were great. Super sweet and responsive. I will definitely camp here again. Next time I would like to try one of the campsites closer to the lake.

I am extremely grateful to you Karen for making this stressful time a little easier for us. I can’t wait to visit the camp someday soon! Will definitely book soon!

Good times!
Beautiful little spot tucked up in the hills. We had a pretty peaceful stay outside of a very loud party at another sight. If your looking to tent camp the spots by the lake may be tricky. Not a ton a flat surfaces. Luckily we camped out in our Campervan. Wood was overpriced and very damp. I liked our spot but I’m not sure if I’d spend $50 a night to stay again. Bathrooms were close and accommodating. Property is very unique and cool. Trails were nice and the lake had some beautiful fish in it.

lodge guests ruined our experience
The campsite itself is great! The other campsites are spaced out enough with trees and you get a nice view of the pond. It is beautiful to wake up to the sounds of birds and the surrounding nature. Our host was very nice and checked on us often. He made us feel very welcomed and safe. However, on Sunday night May 29th , there was a group of people at the Lodge that were very rude! Their music was obnoxiously loud, so much that we could not enjoy our camp fire and conversation or hear the sounds of nature at all. They played music well past midnight. My guests were so upset that they did call and complain. A message was sent out to all guests to turn music down. They turned it down briefly and then proceeded to yell and howl at the top of their lungs. They also started making demonic type noises in a pipe or something IDK? We had to walk to the restroom at night and heard some of them saying “ look the lights” referring to our flashlights and felt like our safety was in trouble, because they probably figured many campers (not just us) called to complain. Our camping neighbors were also upset and making comments about the noise. There was music the night before but they did not play it as loud as Sunday. We felt harassed and unsettled. I do not mind music and I am not one to complain but this put a damper on our trip as those people at the lodge did not think about anyone but themselves. I was disappointed that nothing could be done about their inconsiderate behavior.
