Generous Hosts
Very generous hosts, quaint area. They went above and beyond by having the fire started for us when we arrived, electric set up, and a nice tour of the goat farm. I would 100% stay here again and wouldn’t choose any other site within the 100 mile radius

Wonderful experience here :)
I can't say enough good things about this place. Candy Mountain Goat Farm is quite a gem. Scott was a very accommodating host and I felt extremely safe as a solo female camper. The wifi is excellent, the firewood is plentiful and the goats are delightful 🙂 I will definitely be back here!

Great place to stay! My favorite HipCamp place so far :) The farm is nice and the goats and chickens were fun to hangout with. The hosts were great and the store is great for any forgotten items. My dog and I both loved it!

What a great place! Scott went above and beyond to make our group of 10 have a great time. The kids loved the goats and chickens! Highly recommend staying here. We will definitely be putting it on our rotation!

Candy Mountain Goat Farm was amazing! Scott took us to meet the goats and provided an electric hookup for our van. By chance we had the whole property to ourselves and got to pick where we wanted to set up the van. The fire pit was awesome, and we spent hours hanging out by the fire and listening to music. Nancy joined us and told us all about the area and gave us recommendations for things to do, and told us their plans for the property.
The bathroom facility was great and so clean, and there were solar lights making the walk easy, even in the middle of the night (though there was also a closer pee tent).
There was also a zipline that Scott said that "kids love" but my fiance and I also had way too much fun zipping.
It was a great experience, and we'll definitely be back the next time we're in the area!

Scott is an incredible host! He was so helpful and had something for all of our needs if we didn't have it. Great access to a working bathroom and shower. Working wifi as well, as there is no cell service. The camping spot is in a beautiful spot as well! So quiet. The goats are so adorable and Scott allows you full access to pet and hang out with them, which we did several times.
He insured us a very relaxing and fun experience and I will definitely be coming back again very soon!

I really enjoyed staying in this place, is so peaceful and quiet. I only stayed for one night but I will definitely come back to stay a couple more days. Scott is a great host and he took some time to show me around. Goats are so cute and friendly

A farmstead gem in a great location
What a lovely gem in a beautiful spot! Scott was so warm and welcoming. We took the goats on a walk and told me about each of them. Spot on, as I learned in my time there. As the sun was going down, he brought me a warm blanket because the temps were dropping. So kind! Nancy has a great shop of treasures I was so happy to treat myself to. I loved waking in my tent to the sounds of Carmen, the rooster. And cows on the bordering property across the creek were great neighbors. Watching and mooing and moving about.
I was very grateful for the firewood and potable water. The note left for me, stating the weather and nearby hikes was above and beyond. The pee pot in the utility tent (made for such an occasion) was a great idea. And the walk to the full bath wasn’t far at all, when warm water to wash up in.
Also, super awesome…they are 100% solar. They had a small generator solar charging for me when I arrived. I travel with my Halo, for emergencies, but really appreciated the forethought.
I would love to go back and recommend it to those that love farm life and accessibility to lots of outdoor things in the area!!

Scott's goat farm was a great spot to pitch your tent if you're looking for a get-a-way from the norm of camping at local or crowded camp grounds. He had goats and chickens, and a zip line that my two girls just loved! He even offered a canvas outdoor style moving for us.
Scott was a fantastic host and offered me a cooler and a solar powered generator that I'd forgotten due to trying to get up there before dark. He has a store with many items such as cold beer and even pancake mix if you'd like to cook breakfast and your welcome to his free coffee in the mornings.
I'd rate this experience 4 stars of 5. The only negatives being it's a solid 20 minute ride to town from his house to do anything, and the shower didn't not appear to be clean, and the water had a rusty smell to it. Other than that I'd definitely go back again if I was in the area or passing through.

Scott is super friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Gave us everything we needed, made last-minute adjustments for us, and even provided a bbq and film outside at the common fire pit. The goats and chickens were a lot of fun, too.

I loved the tent camping at candy mountain goat farm! I had access to a hot shower, toilet and sink! There was a convenience store that has sodas and snacks. My dog was off leash for the full duration of the trip. Scott was a great host and made a campfire and offered burgers! I definetly recommend this camp site.

My daughter and I tent camped on Scott & Nancy's goat farm, and it was such a charming experience! They were great hosts and helped with anything we needed, such as a generator, water, bathrooms, recommendations for things in the area, etc. They went above to make us feel welcome, and the goats are adorable. Would definitely come back and recommend!

Secluded stay at a homestead
My family and I really enjoyed our stay here! We rented all of their spots to have the place to ourselves. We were their first group of tent campers, so it was an experience for them too. The owners were very nice and helpful. There is no cell service here but they do have wifi and will help get you info and directions. It is a ride up into the mountains, so download the map on Google maps. The upper portion is covered in gravel and the lower is mainly red clay, slippery when wet. The fire pit was really nice with lots of wood. The animals were cute. They have a shop with essentials and gifts.

Fantastic!! Perfect for pet lovers!
We loved the stay, the property, and the hosts, Scott and Nancy! There were multiple camping spots to set up, we opted for one closer to the farm. It was short distance to the full bathroom, and even closer to the outdoor toilet. We have a little teardrop camper, so only need a 15amp plug, which Scott was happy to provide. He also provided a little soda can fridge that was awesome! It fit regular soda cans as well as the skinny beer cans. 3 of each. For our cooler, complimentary ice packs were also provided. They are also Airbnb hosts, for an adorable tiny house that is between the barn and the main house. Looks like a great little spot! They are almost 100% solar powered, which is awesome. You get to watch how a goat and chicken farm works, and can purchase farm fresh eggs! We are able to use the front porch during business hours (10-6 I believe) which has tables and chairs. Really nice on rainy days. Scott and Nancy are as social as you’d like. This was our first time camping in our teardrop and using the HipCamp app. It was definitely trial by fire for what wasn’t ideal. Scott definitely helped a lot with advice on how to handle the issues that arose! He is very experienced in so many areas, as is Nancy! Their little store at their house is so amazing, stocked with ANYTHING you might have forgotten. They have recommendations on places to go and things to do. I wish I could say more, but the review has a length limit! Highly recommended! Want a great experience, come here!
