Who is Chiefy?
Perfect setting, private and lovely. Tina is a wonderful host and has a very cute cat that I think is Chiefy but I am unsure. Would love to know if the cat is indeed Chiefy or if Chiefy is human.

Friendly and responsive hosts, beautiful campsites. Outhouses are clean and well-maintained, campsites are very accessible and private. We had 10 people and reserved both sites. Other reviews did a great job describing things, nothing I can add!

Perfect spot!
Such a nice camping spot!!! Chiefly and Tina were great hosts and grounds keepers! The bathroom was clean and stocked with little toiletries! The open spaces had been nicely cleared! Plenty of space and the water was refreshing! Not very buggy. Lots of mushrooms and woodland creatures 🦎🐌

Great spot! We had a great time. Tina was very nice and let us fill our shower bags at her house before heading out to show us the camp spot. 2 options for the camp area, right off the road or “down by the river”. We chose down by the river and it was nice to be near the water and hear the river all day and night. 2 beautiful wildflower arrangments and a 5 gallon full water container were waiting for us. Only complaints were the traffic and visibility from the street and the wood we purchased (much of) burned very quickly, a harder wood would last longer.

Great secluded spot! So much space for more guest or to just spread out and explore. Site had great basics with wood delivered. Great private river spot to wake up to and spend the day in.

A lovely, private camping space placed perfectly between the river and Perry mountain. Details, such as flowers on the picnic table, 5gallons of fresh water, and a comfortable outhouse, made our stay comfortable and peaceful.

Camping on a rivers edge
Beautiful and peaceful campsite right by the river. It’s huge and can accommodate at least 12 people. We spent a day & night in a hammock & in the water, roamed around the beautiful property and just relaxed. Doesn’t get much better than that!

Shady Grove
Shady Grove is a great camping spot with plenty of room for tents and a camper and very peaceful. Also a picnic table near the parking spot for the camper as well as one near the stream. Pluses: outhouse was very clean, extra fire pit and picnic table, incredible little water fall swimming hole down the road, Tina was a great host, plenty of parking.
Things you should know: there is a public hard road on the other side of the stream which after a while we didn’t even notice, but if you are wanting complete silence, it’s something to consider.
Overall critique is five stars for us. This is an awesome spot and we definitely hope to return.

Our second trip here was just as lovely and calming as the first. Tina and Chiefy are wonderful hosts and the site is beautiful. It is both remote and convenient, and we can't wait to come back for our next anniversary!

Great campsite! This was our second time staying. We’ve stayed at both sites 1 and 2 and both sites are great. Very private. Each site has its own very clean outhouse. Can’t beat it!

Sweet Song Acres is a gem. The camp site is private and beautiful. I stayed at the Shady Grove site. It was right up against the water and had plenty of good trees for hammock camping. Ask about the look out on Perry Mountain (the view is well worth the hike).

Perfect spot for a getaway.
Stayed for a couple nights. Beautiful spot. River was great and I hiked up to the Perry Mountain lookout for some beautiful views. Great overall, highly recommend.

Camping by the creek
This was an awesome stay!! Way better than state parks. Great location. Lots of room to spread out. Camping by the creek lulled you perfectly to sleep. Tons of stars. Hosts were very kind and accommodating and both the site and relatively newly built outhouse was clean and well stocked with essential toiletries. Host even provided large cooler with ice for drinking water. Highly recommend.

Great site right on a shallow river
Very well kept private site right on a small river we could dip our feet in. The outhouse was very clean, there was plenty of cleared space for multiple tents and trees for hammocks. There was a nice trail to the summit within walking distance and the hosts Chiefy and Tina were easily accessible for water or firewood or just directions to the nearest swimming hole. There was some road noise in the daytime, but nothing so bad that it detracted from the site. We had a great time and would recommend to anyone!

Chiefy and Tina were perfect hosts! Chiefy even went as far as to escort one of the late night arrivals of our group! We found the site exactly as they described and beautifully appointed. We purchased several rounds of firewood and refilled the water jug with ease. We took advantage of every component the site had to offer and found ourselves utterly relaxed and comfortable upon arrival. Sweet song acres is a hidden gem, and we look forward to future visits.

We had such an amazing time camping at Sweet Song Acres. Chiefy and Tina were great hosts and showed us to the site - which was BEAUTIFUL. We spent the weekend sitting by the fire and watching the creek. The outhouse was incredibly clean and had all the fixings. Highly recommend camping here if you’re looking for a peaceful, private, paradise.

Best camping experience imaginable
This is the perfect campsite. Private, secluded, beautiful stream, picnic table, fire pit with cooking grate, lovely outhouses, well maintained properly, access to firewood (delivered by them as needed), great amenities (e.g. 5-gal water jug). Best part is the fire area itself has no service, but you can walk 100 yards up a hill to catch a signal. This is the best part as it forces you to unplug and relax but still allows you to connect when you really need to.

Very happy campers
Hosts Chiefy and Tina were very friendly and responsive, providing all needed details prior to our arrival. They were there to meet us when we got there and made sure we had everything we needed. Our site at Southern Most Point was exceptional. Completely private, directly on the river with cool clear flowing water and sounds to lull us into relaxation immediately, and plenty of space on level ground for our camper and screen house. Though the screen house wasn't needed at all - hardly any bugs during our stay. Outhouse was clean and well stocked. Our pup was in heaven with the freedom to roam and play in the water. Then as we were packing up to leave and planning to muscle our little trailer into a rotation so we could pull her back out, their son showed up with a little ATV to do that for us - so thank you for going above and beyond! We already can't wait to return!

Perfect River Getaway
This place is amazing!!! Tina and family are amazing hosts and the spot is just incredible. We went for the weekend with 7 adults and 6 kids and had an absolutely blast. Endless dry firewood available from the host and the river was perfect for playing and enjoying some adult beverages… very secluded and serene, can’t wait to come back

Riverside Camping!
We absolutely loved camping at Sweet Song Acres. Tina was very informative from the very beginning and answering all of our questions. This site was the Southern Point right along the river. Our son loved following the river up and down with his dog. We were going to travel for a hike, but decided to we didn't want to leave and hiked to the summit right there. It was a short hike, but nice views and exploring up top. The bathroom was a very nice amenity to have when camping in the woods. She kept it well stocked and very clean. Her son even checked in to see if we needed firewood. We have camped in quite a few hipcamp locations and mostly on mountains. But having the river by your side to sleep by, explore, and swim in is such a fun camping experience. This really is a special place and we really look forward to going back. Tina is a wonderful host and obviously cares about her customers!

Though I personally didn’t get to stay out my full stay the group I went with did! Let me just say they’re the sweetest family who accommodate you as much as possible. Their on-site outhouse was clean + tidy. Their rules are very straight forward and easy to follow! They check up on you making sure your water is full and you have enough wood! Definitely would stay here again and so grateful to of had a stay there this weekend!
