The walking straight from the site was amazing and the views from littlehangman down into the town were stunning. Paul provided us with a big bucket of logs and we kept the fire going for ages. My family and I stayed at this picturesque site for 2 weeks and we had an amazing time. Lesley and her husband Paul were wonderful hosts, always happy to chat and a fountain of knowledge about the area. They kept the facilities clean even over a busy bank holiday weekend. There were two flushing toilets and one portaloo (to save those at the top of the site from walking too far), two warm showers, washing up facilities and a lovely converted railway carriage that had electrical points and a fridge freezer. On the few days we had rain this carriage was a great space to eat or play board games. The site has outstanding views overlooking the valley with combe martin bay. Alongside it is a public footpath taking you to great hangman and further Exmoor trails. You can walk to combe martin from here but it is a steep hill back up so bear that in mind if you take a lot of stuff to the beach. Also being up so high you get the spectacular views but it can be windy on occasions so bear the weather in mind when choosing your spot (you are not assigned a specific position so you can move if the weather changes). What i really liked was that the site was not overcrowded even when fully booked as the hosts keep numbers low. This meant it was not noisy and you did not feel like you were on top of anyone. We would definitely come back here.

Great camp site , everything is well organised and well tought . Suzi has put an enormous amount of work and dedication to make this camp site so unique and welcoming. Suzi has gone above and beyond with meticulous arrangements for Geodomes, nice clean and spacious , full off blankets , linens , lamps and gadgets like fans . Her welcom book / guide it is an essence of valuable information where to go and what are best local places to visit . Suzi itself is an very open and friendly person , always ready to help and support. Perfect spot for star gazing.Very dark nights. Cooking/ dining shack is absolutely amazing( brilliant idea itself), everything is there, you can even cook or make bbq during rainy day. Camping stove in situ. Honesty shop - needed essential in situ , wood logs , charcoal , local products like jams ,tea , eggs and coffe . Dog friendly site. Recycling zone present . Would return next year . Can not complaint about anything, everything is well maintained - general site conditions including utilities, essentials and building conditions. Very nice place , come and rejoice with nature.

An ideal location for exploring all that Snowdonia has to offer. Close to beautiful beaches and mountains. Or just stay put and enjoy the view! Ideal for individuals or small to medium size groups. For local services, 2 miles away in different directions are two villages. Talsarnau has a pub and Penrhyndeudraeth has 2 small supermarkets, post office, several cafes, restaurants and takeaways, 2 pubs and a petrol station. Porthmadog is a few minutes further by car, bus or train and has extensive services and facilities. The property is accessed via a steep narrow lane, with passing places, about 1/2 mile from the A496 road. By public transport, there is a train station and a bus stop in Llandecwyn on the main road. National cycle route 8 passes our property gate. Llyn Tecwyn lake is a few minutes walk up the lane, with Llandecwyn church above that. A little further away are more lakes and reservoirs, the Rhinog mountains with Bryn Cader Faner and a temperate rain forest Coed Felinrhyd. All are lovely hikes from our property.
