Guests to Rhos y Gallt describe the campsite as a little gem of a site - small, quite and tranquil with wonderful sunsets. The site can accommodate up to 5 caravans and 10 tents situated on a level 2 acre site within the beautiful rolling hills of Montgomeryshire in Mid Wales.
There are hard standing pitches with electric hook-up as well as grass pitches with and without electric hook-up. There is also a field bordering a river which is used for wild camping - but you'll have to share it with the sheep!
The toilet block has a family wet room with shower, toilet, wash hand basin and baby changing unit, a separate toilet, shower and kitchen area with freezer.
The site borders a river meadow where visitors can wonder down and take a walk down with the river bank, relax by the water edge, throw a few skimmers, do a spot of fishing or even go wild water swimming (at your own risk!).
Well behaved dogs are welcome (maximum 2 per unit).

Oak Lodge is an exclusive Luxury Glamping Lodge set on a beautiful, sheltered Mid Wales hillside and close to amenities. At the moment there is just the one quirky lodge set in 3 acres of meadow, looking out over the hills and woodland. There is more land to explore (total 11 acres) and the views are far reaching. This unique accommodation isn't available anywhere else in Wales.
Oak Lodge is mains connected for electricity, with a top of the range waterless toilet and eco friendly Bio Fuel Burner (Like a log burner but without the hassle). The hills and trees will be your morning view as you open the curtains looking out across the green expanse that surrounds this Mid Wales getaway. You are surrounded by green space, meadows left for wild flowers with paths cut through them and of course the many Oak Trees, some of which are over 400 years old.
As there is only one lodge, you will have privacy and this offers the perfect location for a romantic luxury break for a couple. Alternatively, kids will love exploring the areas and discover the very shallow stream to splash in (it dries up fully in Summer). There is so much space to enjoy. After a 3-4 minute, 300 metre walk from the car park (some up a hillside path), kick off your boots in the covered porch outside and head into your own quirky lodge.
In the lodge there is one separate bedroom with a King Size bed, a shower room with toilet, sink, a kitchenette (mini kitchen) with microwave oven, air fryer, fridge/freezer and the spacious, quirky main room with a large sofa (converts to a 115cm wide bed for kids) to unwind in. Cast Iron outdoor stove, in/outdoor tables and shower room.
A private wood-fired hot tub with bubbles, which is deep and specially designed for two - the perfect addition to a romantic stay. Relax in warm water under the stars or start the day listening to the birdsong.
Mid-Wales is a spectacular location and we are just 4 minutes drive away from the small town of Llanfair Caereinion (2nd smallest town in Wales). Usual convenience shops (Spa/Londis), petrol station, excellent butchers (Pandy's), hairdressers, 3 pubs, Chinese takeaway and Fish and Chip shop.

Gwersyllfa Glyndŵr Campsite is a small, peaceful, family run and adult only site for walkers and cyclists. Located within walking distance of the historical market town of Machynlleth, we're a great base for exploring all that rural Mid West Wales has to offer. We're on the Glyndŵr National Walking Trail and the Wales Coast Path. There are many cycling trails of all levels nearby - from the Lon Las and Dyfi Bike Park to Ystwyth and Elan Trails.
A short bus ride from us are the Snowdonia National Park, Cader Idris and beautiful beaches of Cardigan Bay.
Our guests love the outdoors but like a little relaxation at the end of a day's activities, so we offer a some home comforts in the communal camping facilities barn which has a kitchenette with fridge, kettle, microwave and washing up area as well as an indoor seating area on the mezzanine level. Hot showers and toilets are available in the wet rooms also situated in the barn. You can unwind under the stars in the communal campfire area next to the camping field.
There's an outdoor sink on the camping field for cleaning muddy gear and a place to clean your bike if needed.
The nearby town offers independent shops, an art gallery and historical buildings. There are plenty of places to eat and drink, grocery shops and a petrol station where you can top up on supplies.
You'll get the best of both worlds at this secluded campsite which overlooks the Dyfi Valley's stunning scenery whilst being within stone's throw of local amenities.

The Griffiths family look forward to welcoming you to their quiet site located on their busy working farm in beautiful Mid-Wales. Our level well drained field is easily accessible from the A483, and offers spacious pitches.
We have 4 hardstanding pitches the remainder being laid to grass, with optional electric hook ups available. We have spotless toilets and showers, with shaver point and offer a large utility room for washing up, fridge freezer and sockets for mobile phone charging. We welcome all types of units - tents, touring caravans, campervans, etc. as well as dogs (though ask that these remain on a leash)
The village of Crossgates is within walking distance, which offers launderette facilities at the local garage, which also has a cafe and handy Co-Op shop at the petrol filling station. Llandrindod Wells, which has cafes, supermarkets, pubs, takeaways and activities, is approximately 3 miles South.
Fishing is available on the farm, with trout, chubb and brownings on the river Ithon, but licences are required.
Torches are a must, as we have no street lighting, ideal to star gaze at night whilst listening to the nearby animals.

Glangwdi Glamping offers furnished bell tents in sight of Pen y Fan, the Brecon Beacon’s highest peak. For some, that alone will be reason enough to book but for others there are further temptations. The site is 2.5 acres. Take, for example, Glangwdi’s pygmy goats. There’s a daily opportunity to meet these little farmyard friends and there are ducks and chickens too. And, as if that’s not enough, this flat field in the foothills is just five miles from bustling Brecon and a short walk from woods, waterfalls and wild swimming.
The bell tents themselves are yet another attraction. There are six; each pitched around the edge of a neat field on a family farm. Woven hazel fencing ensures a little privacy for each camping couple or family – this place is equally suited to both. Children will love the cute pygmy goats and adults… well let’s face it, they will love the pygmy goats too. But they’ll also love the fact that you can hike straight from site to the top of 886-metre Pen y Fan and its twin peak Corn Du. And who wouldn’t enjoy a campfire under the stars, in the shadow of the Beacons?
The five and six metre bell tents are each kitted out with beds, bedding and log-burning stoves. Outside, each has the off-ground fire pit and outdoor seating regular glampers will have come to expect but there’s an added extra too: a private camp kitchen, that’s also canvas covered. It provides a sheltered place to cook and dine when the weather’s wet and welcome shade when this open field is bathed in summer sun.
On such days, this is just the kind of scenic spot that could tempt you to stay on site all day but if you’re feeling adventurous the mountains will soon lure you away. Hiking, biking and wild swimming (try Llyn Cwm Llwch on way up top) are all on offer here. Closer by, Held Wood is a local favourite for walks with a series of small waterfalls within it. The Taff Trail offers well-signposted routes – towards the peaks in one direction or along country lanes to the market town of Brecon in the other.

The Griffiths family look forward to welcoming you to their quiet site located on their busy working farm in beautiful Mid-Wales. Our level well drained field is easily accessible from the A483, and offers spacious pitches.
We have 4 hardstanding pitches the remainder being laid to grass, with optional electric hook ups available. We have spotless toilets and showers, with shaver point and offer a large utility room for washing up, fridge freezer and sockets for mobile phone charging. We welcome all types of units - tents, touring caravans, campervans, etc. as well as dogs (though ask that these remain on a leash)
The village of Crossgates is within walking distance, which offers launderette facilities at the local garage, which also has a cafe and handy Co-Op shop at the petrol filling station. Llandrindod Wells, which has cafes, supermarkets, pubs, takeaways and activities, is approximately 3 miles South.
Fishing is available on the farm, with trout, chubb and brownings on the river Ithon, but licences are required.
Torches are a must, as we have no street lighting, ideal to star gaze at night whilst listening to the nearby animals.

Glangwdi Glamping offers furnished bell tents in sight of Pen y Fan, the Brecon Beacon’s highest peak. For some, that alone will be reason enough to book but for others there are further temptations. The site is 2.5 acres. Take, for example, Glangwdi’s pygmy goats. There’s a daily opportunity to meet these little farmyard friends and there are ducks and chickens too. And, as if that’s not enough, this flat field in the foothills is just five miles from bustling Brecon and a short walk from woods, waterfalls and wild swimming.
The bell tents themselves are yet another attraction. There are six; each pitched around the edge of a neat field on a family farm. Woven hazel fencing ensures a little privacy for each camping couple or family – this place is equally suited to both. Children will love the cute pygmy goats and adults… well let’s face it, they will love the pygmy goats too. But they’ll also love the fact that you can hike straight from site to the top of 886-metre Pen y Fan and its twin peak Corn Du. And who wouldn’t enjoy a campfire under the stars, in the shadow of the Beacons?
The five and six metre bell tents are each kitted out with beds, bedding and log-burning stoves. Outside, each has the off-ground fire pit and outdoor seating regular glampers will have come to expect but there’s an added extra too: a private camp kitchen, that’s also canvas covered. It provides a sheltered place to cook and dine when the weather’s wet and welcome shade when this open field is bathed in summer sun.
On such days, this is just the kind of scenic spot that could tempt you to stay on site all day but if you’re feeling adventurous the mountains will soon lure you away. Hiking, biking and wild swimming (try Llyn Cwm Llwch on way up top) are all on offer here. Closer by, Held Wood is a local favourite for walks with a series of small waterfalls within it. The Taff Trail offers well-signposted routes – towards the peaks in one direction or along country lanes to the market town of Brecon in the other.

Weekend Trip to Celtic Woodland Holidays
This was our second time staying here, and it was even more special than the first time.
Every second is something to cherish.
Hosts are lovely, warm and very welcoming. Facilities are outstanding, with communal kitchen and games rooms with had a pool table, air hockey and the means to play table tennis.
The pod was warm, comfortable and homely. We cannot wait to stay again. Perfect getaway.

we went camping in nic and leighs site and it was beautiful, we was the only ones on the camping site but either way it was peiceful and amazing facilites including the comunal fiepit. my kids and my dog loved the area and rubnibg through the trees. the toilets,showers ,game room, the park and the kitchen, was amazing. will 100% be comming again and recommending to others. amazing place to be

We had a great stay in the Wye Pod at Great house farm. Communication was fab and super speedy! All info was sent over on email before our stay and made it very easy for checking in. The pod was cosy and clean, as well as the hot tub being the perfect temperature for arrival. The views are amazing and we all wished we could wake up and use a hot tub with that view everyday! the animals are all cheeky and fun to watch, my favourite was the donkeys! We had a really great dog friendly stay and would defo stay again! The only thing we wouldn't have minded more of was the tea, coffee & sugar. Otherwise a stunning stay!

2 nights at Cuddfan - The Hiding Place
Thanks Mark for the lovely stay! The area is secluded and picturesque, which really gave us the feeling of living a nomadic life with just the basic amenities.
A few tips for future visitors:
Bring a hanging light or headlamp, as it gets very dark and there’s no lighting provided.
There’s a gas stove and cooking area, but you’ll need to bring your own utensils.
Pack warm duvets and thick jackets if you’re visiting in autumn, as nights can get very cold.
🚗 Important: Do not drive your car down to the tent. Park just after entering the gate and walk down instead. I missed the host’s message about this, got stuck trying to drive back up, and had to be rescued by a farmer with his tractor (thankfully the host responded quickly and was super helpful!).
Despite that little adventure, I absolutely loved the stay and would highly recommend it if you’re looking for a unique experience without the hassle of putting up a tent yourself.

Great camp site , everything is well organised and well tought . Suzi has put an enormous amount of work and dedication to make this camp site so unique and welcoming. Suzi has gone above and beyond with meticulous arrangements for Geodomes, nice clean and spacious , full off blankets , linens , lamps and gadgets like fans .
Her welcom book / guide it is an essence of valuable information where to go and what are best local places to visit .
Suzi itself is an very open and friendly person , always ready to help and support.
Perfect spot for star gazing.Very dark nights.
Cooking/ dining shack is absolutely amazing( brilliant idea itself), everything is there, you can even cook or make bbq during rainy day. Camping stove in situ.
Honesty shop - needed essential in situ , wood logs , charcoal , local products like jams ,tea , eggs and coffe .
Dog friendly site.
Recycling zone present .
Would return next year .
Can not complaint about anything, everything is well maintained - general site conditions including utilities, essentials and building conditions.

Really great campsite! We pitched our bell tent in the woodland where they have only 5 spaces available. I loved staying in the woods rather than in an open field. The lighting at night was magical and the facilities were fab which you only share with the 5 pitches on site so we're never crowded. We listened to the owls at night and ravens by day (my favorite bird so I was really chuffed). We used the pizza oven but unfortunately didn't get time to book the sauna - next time! My 3 kids loved the play area and tried really hard to stay up late enough to use the star gazing chairs. Location worked really well for us, we headed to the beach on the west coast, did the 4 waterfalls walk and the show caves too. We would love to try the treehouse next time, it looks epic! Thank you for a lovely holiday! It was our first visit to Wales and we'll definitely come again.

It was my first time at a campsite and it was a great experience. The pitches are far apart from each other so you get a lot of privacy.
Each pitch is leveled and comes with a firepit.
The views are gorgeous.
I wish there were more toilets as often we had to wait. The toilet is not separate from the shower so if someone is showering the toilet becomes unavailable. I was happy to use the compost toilet but my girlfriend preferred the flushable one.
Would definitely camp here again.
