(Please note: no children or dogs). Gwersyllfa Glyndŵr Campsite is a small, peaceful, family run and adult only site for walkers and cyclists. Located within walking distance of the historical market town of Machynlleth, we're a great base for exploring all that rural Mid West Wales has to offer. We're on the Glyndŵr National Walking Trail and the Wales Coast Path. There are many cycling trails of all levels nearby - from the Lon Las and Dyfi Bike Park to Ystwyth and Elan Trails. A short bus ride from us are the Snowdonia National Park, Cader Idris and beautiful beaches of Cardigan Bay. Our guests love the outdoors but like a little relaxation at the end of a day's activities, so we offer a some home comforts in the communal camping facilities barn which has a kitchenette with fridge, kettle, microwave and washing up area as well as an indoor seating area on the mezzanine level. Hot showers and toilets are available in the wet rooms also situated in the barn. You can unwind under the stars in the communal campfire area next to the camping field, which also has a shelter for cooking with camping stoves. There's an outdoor sink on the camping field for cleaning muddy gear and a place to clean your bike if needed. The nearby town offers independent shops, an art gallery and historical buildings. There are plenty of places to eat and drink, grocery shops and a petrol station where you can top up on supplies. You'll get the best of both worlds at this secluded campsite which overlooks the Dyfi Valley's stunning scenery whilst being within a stone's throw of local amenities.

I've stayed at this campsite a few times now when visiting Machynlleth/Dyfi Bike Park. I'd recommend it 100%, it's in a stunning spot, with great facilities. Machynlleth is only a short (and pleasant) walk down the hill for food/drinks too.

I loved camping here, the view is stunning, the facilities very good, showers nice and hot and even a kettle and microwave to use. I camped towards the end of the season and was the only person in a tent. Bliss!

Beautiful site, great views and quiet flat field. The facilities were excellent, a great shower and bathroom with the added bonus of the kitchenette with microwave, fridge and kettle. It was perfect. Just a big steep hill to get there, but it was worth the climb!

Fabulous site with beautiful views. Very quiet when I visited just after May half-term. Great facilities and very well maintained. Will definitely be staying again and recommending to others. Right on the Coast Path and Glyndwr’s Way so great for hikers.

What an idyllic site, it’s my first time here and definitely will not be my last. I’ve been coming to Machynlleth for years and have always loved the area, Gwersyllfa Glyndwr has topped it off. Elizabeth and her husband are really friendly and helpful. If you’re looking for somewhere just to relax, high up in the hills with stunning views you won’t do much better,

Elizabeth's campsite was such a great find. It is in a beautiful, tranquil setting with lush, flat grass pitches. The washroom and kitchen facilities are excellent, very clean and plenty of hot water. If we come to the Machynlleth Music and Art festival again next year we will definitely use this site again. Please be aware that the single track up to the farm campsite is uphill, narrow quite windy and not well signposted, probably best navigated first time in daylight, however the drive up is well worth it.

We loved camping at Elizabeth's site. It was located in a quiet and remote location, and the campsite was not busy. There is loads of land to wonder around, and the views are beautiful. The view of the stars at night was spectacular. Toilets, showers and facilities were very clean. There was also access to a kettle, fridge and microwave if needed. Thank you for a wonderful two night stay - I would have loved to have been able to stay longer!
