Penuwch Inn Caravan and Camping, 10 minutes’ drive from Tregaron in West Wales, may very well be your spot. The area around Penuwch Inn has plenty of walking and cycling routes for anyone who wants to explore the region (ask your friendly hosts Nicky and Julian for tips). Pick up a map before you arrive, then disappear for the day on a mountain bike, making your way along the Ceredigion Coast Path or the banks of Afon Teifi – the second longest river in Wales – or Afon Aeron. If you prefer two legs to two wheels, you can pick up the Ceredigion Coast Path from Llanrhystud, a 15-minute drive from the site. For drinks, there's a bar on site open between Thursday and Sunday. For food, meanwhile, you can pick up some supplies for the barbecue at Tregaron. And then? Relax in the evenings by turning your eyes to the stars, soaking up the dark skies above the site to see some of the wonders of the Milky Way…

Weekend Trip to Camp at Nantgwynfaen Organic Farm

We spent two nights in our van on the Love at First Site pitch. It was perfect - totally private, absolutely beautiful and so peaceful, could just hear birdsong. The site had its own outdoor shower, with leaves as the ‘roof’, just magical, and its own washing up area. A little wander down a grassy track to the compost loo (very clean) and farm shop to get lovely organic supplies, just dreamy. The whole farm was incredibly beautiful, with stunning views of rolling hills and valleys. We had a lovely walk through the valley on the last morning. Ken was very friendly, and Amanda very helpful when I needed to make date changes. All in all, an a wonderful site that we very much hope to revisit :)
