Our beautiful home is a glamping and camping site with its own gorgeous fishing lake on the outskirts of the village of Llandyfan. You can find us to the west of the Brecon Beacons or Bannau Brycheiniog National Park. Llandyfan Campsite has been lovingly re-established in early 2024 by Andy and Jo. Since taking ownership, we have rolled up our sleeves and got stuck into restoring it to its former glory and will soon be back to being a fully operational slice of Welsh heaven. Our first focus has been the fishing lake which we opened in March. The campsite followed in May. We are currently working on electric hook ups and other improvements. We have chickens on site that roam free during the day. They are friendly and like to wander around the tents to say hello to our guests! We would like everyone who visits to have a great time and a relaxing break. Whilst here please be considerate towards others, to their property, and while using the facilities. If you have any concerns, please let us know. We have brought out a few rules from our T&Cs and we kindly ask that you have a read through before your stay. Litter: You must pick up your litter. Please either take it with you or recycle it appropriately in the bins onsite. There are recycling bins on the campsite, it is your responsibility to recycle. Pitches to be left as you found them. Noise: Be respectful and consider your neighbours. Keep noise to a minimum after 10pm and before 8am in the morning. No loud music is to be played at any time. Children: Children must be supervised at all times around the campsite and can play within the pitch space allocated to you. At quiet times, it may be possible for children to use vacant pitches for play but this cannot be guaranteed. The amenity block and associated facilities are not to be used as a play area. Dogs: Must not to be left unattended. Are to be kept on leads at all times whilst on the campsite. (We are working on an enclosed dog walking area, however this is not yet available). no refunds on bookings if cancelled withing 10days of booking

Glangwdi Glamping offers furnished bell tents in sight of Pen y Fan, the Brecon Beacon’s highest peak. For some, that alone will be reason enough to book but for others there are further temptations. The site is 2.5 acres. Take, for example, Glangwdi’s pygmy goats. There’s a daily opportunity to meet these little farmyard friends and there are ducks and chickens too. And, as if that’s not enough, this flat field in the foothills is just five miles from bustling Brecon and a short walk from woods, waterfalls and wild swimming. The bell tents themselves are yet another attraction. There are six; each pitched around the edge of a neat field on a family farm. Woven hazel fencing ensures a little privacy for each camping couple or family – this place is equally suited to both. Children will love the cute pygmy goats and adults… well let’s face it, they will love the pygmy goats too. But they’ll also love the fact that you can hike straight from site to the top of 886-metre Pen y Fan and its twin peak Corn Du. And who wouldn’t enjoy a campfire under the stars, in the shadow of the Beacons? The five and six metre bell tents are each kitted out with beds, bedding and log-burning stoves. Outside, each has the off-ground fire pit and outdoor seating regular glampers will have come to expect but there’s an added extra too: a private camp kitchen, that’s also canvas covered. It provides a sheltered place to cook and dine when the weather’s wet and welcome shade when this open field is bathed in summer sun. On such days, this is just the kind of scenic spot that could tempt you to stay on site all day but if you’re feeling adventurous the mountains will soon lure you away. Hiking, biking and wild swimming (try Llyn Cwm Llwch on way up top) are all on offer here. Closer by, Held Wood is a local favourite for walks with a series of small waterfalls within it. The Taff Trail offers well-signposted routes – towards the peaks in one direction or along country lanes to the market town of Brecon in the other.

Set the edge of Exmoor, we have unrivalled coastal views, direct access to the South West Coast Path and Combe Martin bay is just a little walk away (perfect for paddle-boarding and dolphin spotting!). Choose your pitch, settle down by a fire pit and watch the sun set across Combe Martin bay. With pizza’s available on some weekends, breakfast baguettes for breakfast and a selection of farm produce available - we have everything you could need, we are campervan friendly too. With footpaths from the farm in all directions you can join the South West Coast Path or just ramble down to the village where there are shops, cafes and pubs a plenty. With full flushing toilets and hot showers, as well as a washing up area, there is even an old railway carriage with electric plugs to charge your phone or dry your hair, with a fridge and freezer to look after your supper too. We are a small site focusing on that quiet get-away. There is no road noise, just the farmer going about his day job, who’s more than happy to chat about the wildlife, birds and weather!

Emmetts on Exmoor is part of the highest farm on the moor, up at an altitude of 1250 feet with gorgeous views out over the surrounding scenery of the national park. You won't find a better place for spotting wildlife right from your tent! Red deer herds regularly frequent the moor which is opposite your pitch. Other wildlife in the area include cuckoos, woodpeckers, golden plovers, foxes and much more! This is a place that’s big on space but small on guest numbers (just four pitches which are not visible from one another), so there’s always plenty of space around to soak up the rural atmosphere, spot wildlife and play games. The site is unmanned so make sure you have all the info you need before setting off and it’s worth noting that Exmoor National Park was designated Europe’s first Dark Sky Reserve back in 2011, so you should hopefully be in for spectacular displays of stars by night too. Unsurprisingly, this is a great area for walks and mountain bike rides; other activities in the area include things like fishing, sailing and pony trekking. If you’ve still got any energy left after that little lot, the farm’s all-weather tennis court is available to hire for a game or two. There is a proper shower and loo available next to the car parking area and all pitches are approximately a 500 metre walk away from this area through woodland and across pasture. Remember the site is off-grid so it’s a good idea to remember to bring along a torch. Guests are welcome to bring along a barbecue or hire a firepit and purchase wood onsite. Simonsbath (5 minutes) has a pub and a tearoom and Exford and Withypool (both within 15 minutes) have good village shops for picking up any other supplies you might need. The Poltimore Arms and The Exmoor Forest Inn are two very local pubs that are well worth a visit.

Stayed here before and loved it. We camped in the woods last time, close to the river but opted for the field this time. We love that this place is just basic. Some toilet facilities and nothing more. When we just want to get away from life, this is the place to go. We managed to catch trout last time, but this time we blanked unfortunately. Although it is close to a town, it feels as if you’re a million miles from anywhere. Look up at the stars at night and listen to the river. David is a friendly host too and usually pops by to say hi. Highly recommend this place.

Had a lovely weekend, low density camping lots of room between each pitch. We stayed in the upper meadow with wonderful views and fantastic walks very nearby…some are very steep….This is wild camping with compost loos, I love that you use a wheelbarrow to transport your camping equipment from your car and the site is effectively car free….We took our black lab and he was very chilled here, laying in the long grass. Fire-pits are provided, perfect for marshmallow s’mores .we will go back again

Such lovely hosts and fantastic place to camp. Facilities were great and clean - having the little hut with a fridge and kettle is super handy! The views are unreal and the coastal path is right there which is great for walks or trail runs. The field is quite exposed to wind as you could imagine but helps to camp in the corners of the field or up against the back wall/hedge which is what we did. Would love to come back soon! Such a lovely campsite, the views are stunning and all the facilities just perfect! 😊 Especially the hot shower, fridge and kettle which was exactly what I needed being someone who doesn't have much of the camping gear. The wildflowers meadows look fabulous despite the dry summer. It's clear the owners have put lots of effort in maintaining these wild spaces! Great to have lots of info of nearby pubs and places to visit too. Really amazing stay! Absolutely recommend it!

I loved it here! As a solo-vanning female it was perfect, spacious grass pitches, easy booking system, fabulous facilities and not to mention the best views (the little sheep neighbours were also adorable) Hot showers, toilets, water and electric point, washing line area (note no clothes wash facilities though) The pitches are not level so won’t be for everyone but didn’t affect me, site is well lit at night and there’s a few sweet little glamping pods on site too. Worth a visit and I’ll be back!

Such a beautiful site - as close as you can get to wild camping without worrying about getting moved on!

We have four bell tents - 2x 5M Bells (Butterfly and Ladybird) and 2x 4M Bells (Cuckoo and Buzzard with stove). All are accessed on foot (so please consider this when packing for your hols!) Wheelbarrows are provided to move kit and distance from carpark ranges between 100m to 250m up a gentle slope.

This was the third time staying here, it's one of our absolute favourite places to camp! The relaxed atmosphere, the no thrills environment, and real land with a river, rocks, trees, red kites flying over head, farm animals all around - it's just an absolute joy. Being able to put a hammock up is a wonderful opportunity- nothing makes the kids (or the adults, happier) than a dip in the river and then a relax in the hammock afterwards. David was especially brilliant after we had a lot of concerns about heavy rainfall, he's a very conscientious site owner!

Lovely site, with gaps between campers. 2 lovely organic toilets with sawdust and 2 exceptional hot showers where you can watch the stars! Main town of Carmarthen is approx 40 mins away. A nice quiet location with a dawn chorus! Stayed 2 nights and travelled to Carmarthen, Tenby and Laughaune (all worth visiting especially latter 2). Would definitely stay again!

What an amazing stay we had in the black mountains at Crmffrwd Farm. It’s feels as though you’re in the middle of nowhere, but yet close to Crickhowell, a great little town with places to drink and eat and of course Abergavenny. Pridie is the perfect host, who makes everyone feel welcome. This is our third visit to Crmffrwd farm and we will definitely be back.

This camping space is definitely one we will be coming back to. The surroundings are beautiful and we were able to see some awesome wildlife: birds of prey, bats, cows and a very friendly horse named George. George is a fantastic camping neighbour. The owner has recently installed some great sawdust/compost toilets. David was very friendly when we met, very hospitable and took the time to clear the land and facilities.
