Fancy some secluded downtime exploring rural coastal Suffolk? The tree-shaded pitches at Hill Farm are in a peaceful setting near the market towns of Saxmundham and Halesworth, and handily accessible from the A12, as well as to the coast and pretty villages, historical hamlets, and popular seaside towns, such as Southwold and Aldeburgh.
This is a site that welcomes families and groups of friends, and it's dog-friendly too (there’s a 4-acre woodland to the north of the site that's great for dog walking). The site has good TV reception for relaxing indoors on damp or chilly days.
The popular village of Westleton (10 minutes’ drive) has a village store, a farm shop, a garage and 2 pubs; and if you fancy a change from cooking, there is also a nice pub and a tearoom, in the Darsham village area (only 5 minutes drive or a 30 minute walk away through some lovely fields).
Back on site, there are a toilet cabins with hot running water, plus other facilities including 4 showers, a portaloo, and a washing machine, grey waste and chemical toilet disposal and recycling points. Wi-fi is nearly all over the site too.
The shared facilities at the top of the site also has a fridge and a washing up area, with a warm water tap, a nearby kettle and a plug socket for charging mobiles. Picnic tables, PIR lighting and Starlink wifi is also provided.
Please not that dogs must be kept on a lead at all times, and yes campfires are allowed, as long as the fire pit is raised off the ground and the fire is supervised at all times, with a bucket of water at hand too. Thank you for booking!

This is a handy location for all sorts of activities, including walking or boating around the Broads, hitting the beaches of the north coast or spending time fishing, horse riding or cycling. The nearest pub is a 10 minute walk away – but you won’t have to go that far if you don’t want to, as the farm is home to the Wildcraft Brewery, which has a taproom in one of the traditional red-brick barns (and picnic tables outside for an alfresco drink on a sunny day).

We are located just outside Redisham - a small village in a rural setting equidistant from the towns of Beccles and Halesworth, 4-5 miles away; a 15 minute walk from Brampton railway station and a mile from route 1 of the national cycle network. The coast is about 9 miles away to the East, with a choice of seaside towns and areas of outstanding natural beauty to visit and the Broads National Park is 5 miles to the North.
There are barn owls and bats nesting nearby, slow worms, great crested newts and much more; it is our main goal to encourage as much biodiversity as possible.
The shared facilities are 'off-grid' compost loos and wood-fired hot water showers using wood from the 1000 plus trees we have planted. Lighting and wifi are powered by solar panels.
The glamping chalet has two king-size beds with ground floor and mezzanine bedrooms: it sleeps four comfortably and up to six at a pinch. It has solar lighting and USB sockets.
We have tent pitches for up to about 20 campers.
There is a no dogs policy on the campsite.

We had an amazing stay at the wonderful Freedom Eco Farm. The location is really lovely, with distant views of rolling hills and mature trees - all to ourselves. What is especially great was Helena and Duncan’s relaxed and warm welcome and the ability to roam the tracks around their farm. The grass fed beef burgers were delicious and we’ll be back to try the swimming pond and sauna. Thanks, we loved our stay.

The shepherd hut was clean and very comfortable. The location was peaceful and we had some amazing sunsets and rises.
The wood fired hot tub was great as was the wood fire BBQ which was super easy to use and made the food taste great.
We had a fantastic 2 nights and can’t wait to go back.

We loved the site the toilets clean excellent showers. really nice barn for washing up and chilling in. We had our own pitch/space and was lovely and well maintained area. A nice private walk into southwold that was about 20 minutes to the pier. would recommend. When there was a little problem they didn’t hesitate to help and sorted it all out. ☺️ overall wonderful place to stay.

Lovely site with very clean facilities. Extra bonus was using the fire pit. Also a very nice looking butchers and cafe on site.
The only down side was the noise on the Saturday night. The camp is not staffed and the gate is left open. At 2:30am there was a lot of noise coming from a group of other campers who had arrived back late. This included noise from cars with one car in particular driving very fast around the field. To say this was unsettling would be an understatement as it was difficult to know if this person may have been under the influence of alcohol due to the speed and also the fear of the car ploughing into a tent. There is a notice up saying no noise after 10pm however this was obviously ignored. The Sunday night was much quieter except for the early morning wake up call from a couple of military aircraft at 6:30am!
I would happily visit this site again if I were to visit the area it’s just a shame that one group of people couldn’t respect other campers.

Had a lovely trip, beautifully flat land and plenty of space. The facilities, toilets, showers etc were excellent and loads of them. Nearby shops on white house farm, we largely closed as we stayed over a bank holiday weekend but a nice addition.

This site is an absolute gem. It’s so friendly and well managed with every detail well thought out. A well stocked honesty shop with everything you could possibly need. From firelighters, logs &. Kindling for cosy nights; toiletries & hair accessories; to sun creams & ice creams. A large, covered seating area, games, books, Wi-Fi, anything you could possibly need is available. Pitches are a good size. Facilities clean with lovely touches

We really enjoyed camping at Plum Camping. It's a basic site which we particularly like, with toilets, showers and wash up facilities. We loved being able to use one of the fire pits free of charge, just buying wood bits back transfer or honesty box. Point to note, lots of info says it's a tent only campsite, but whilst we were there, I'd say it was 50:50 tents/campers and motorhomes.

Was easy to book, to find, to set up. Had all you would need - clean toilets, showers, washing up area - and lovely hot water. Was a fridge, freezer and charging point. Lots of people used the fire pits which we loved. Would definitely stay again.

The setting was prefect it was quiet adult only with great space and a beautiful lake lots of walks around .Great for biking around as well!
