Weekend Trip to Laleham Camping Club

Wonderfully quiet weekend (not school holidays). Great location for riverside walks, meadows, and top tier pub food at Laleham village at The Three Horseshoes. The staff were super helpful and facilities clean and easily accessed.

The amount of land and privacy for camping is really great. Showers were really good too, very generous to have two showers with hot water and good pressure for the amount of pitches.

Weekend Trip to Higher Waytown Farm Camping

We had a lovely stay. The site is very well maintained and toilet was clean. We missed the 'round house' sign the 1st time, because the sat nav was trying to send us to the actual camping field. Lovely spot in nature and was exactly what we were looking for.

Weekend Trip to Goren Farm

This was our second time camping at Goren Farm and we loved it. The Oak pitch was fantastic; a wonderful big oak to camp and shelter under, amazing evening sun, peaceful and remote, but still in easy walking distance of the excellent compost toilets. We didn’t try the showers, but have heard they’re good. The adventure trail is fantastic for adventurous people that aren’t afraid of a bit of mud; so much fun for our family. Julian and the others are really friendly and helpful. Just a beautiful, peaceful place to get away. Already booked our next stay!

Weekend Trip to Southwood Park Estate

Loved the camp vibe and the people are very welcoming and friendly. The campsite is very clean and things are there for everyone likeness to enjoy. The staff is very sweet to help. You just have to ask. Make sure to get your cooking equipments like if you want to cook near your tent. There is stove and fireplace. You can also use the open kitchen BBQ to cook if you want. Get yourself a camp chair if you want to sit comfortably outside next to the fireplace near your tent and an outdoor lamp Each camp is separated so you have ample privacy The camp area is beautifully designed and decorated which looks great during daytime. Breakfast is scrumptious and you can have food and drinks throughout the day in the restaurant. The campsite hosts are super nice and loves to take good care of their guests

Absolutely loved my trip here! Campsite was peaceful really well maintained. Bar and restaurant area was amazing and all the staff were really friendly and attentive. Managed to get myself a fresh pizza from the restaurant and eat it back at camp. Would absolutely stay here again!

Great place to camp! We had such a good time and the bar is brilliant on the weekends! Very dog friendly. We had the river right behind out pitch and the dogs loved it! Not somewhere to go if you’re looking for somewhere quiet on the weekend though😂

Blaennantygroes Farm is fifteen acres of peaceful uplands which includes a four acres broadlleaf wood and a field which is part of a large Site of Special Scientific Interest. Our elevated position gives a spectacular view across the valley, and behind is forestry and open countryside leading to the top station of Bike Park Wales. We are 100 metres from the mouth of the closed Merthyr Tunnel, hence we are known locally as 'Tunnel Farm'. The line of the disused track now proves a level walk through woodland which starts at the bottom of our drive and continues past the Rhoswenallt Inn, 1 mile, and on to Llwydcoed, a further 2 miles.
