The Cabin is situated on our 17 acres of land, next to our garden. It faces down the valley with scenic views and a peaceful setting. An ideal place to relax and a great base from which to explore the beautiful Dorset coast and countryside whether by foot, bicycle, horse or car. If you like wildlife you may spot deer, hares, kestrels, buzzards, barn owls and many more creatures.There is a bbq/fire pit so you can sit outside and stargaze. With no light pollution and a big expanse of sky many stars can be seen on a clear night and the sunsets here can be spectacular. We are slowly but surely making our land more nature friendly. We have sown thousands of wild flowers seeds and planted hundreds of native hedging and trees. To encourage more bird life we are planning to provide more places for them to roost and nest.There is plenty more to do but we are enjoying the journey and hope you will too. The cabin is open plan with a light and pleasant lounge space with a large sofa. A sleeping nook with french linen curtains around it contains a comfortable double bed and cozy duvet; you can lie in bed with a brew and observe the natural world from the window. The kitchen is small but perfectly formed with a fridge/freezer, two ring gas hob and combi-microwave which are perfect for light cooking. Plus a compact shower room. There is no live tv but the free streaming services are available or log into your own accounts for a quiet night in.

The location is incredible, but the merit really goes to the owners and their family who made my partner and I feel so incredibly welcomed during our star We cannot recommend to stay here enough and know we will definitely be visiting when the camping season starts :)

If you're looking for a peaceful & private retreat, this hidden gem is the perfect place to stay. We were warmly welcomed by Evie and daughter as soon as we arrived, even though it was a very wet & windy evening. Cottage Orne is cosy & comfortable with great views. Only natural sounds were to be heard including owls. After a day out walking with the dog in the beautiful surrounding countryside, it was lovely to be able to return & sit out on the decking, relax and warm yourself around the firepit. The fairy lights added a magical touch. The fenced cottage garden is ideal for those with dogs and having the freedom to access the extensive grounds was an unexpected treat. Board games to play, Apple cake to munch and clean toilets and showers with plenty of hot water. Lovely family running the show as well. Perfect.

Weekend Trip to Cottage Orne

We stayed at Cottage Orne for the August bank holiday weekend and so glad we booked it. Evie was amazing and always available if needed and our kids loved playing with the new puppies. The cottage itself was perfect for a long weekend away and catered for our family of 4 with no problems. If we are ever back in the area, I'm sure we will be back to stay.

This campsite introduced me to 'quiet camping' - I was concerned that it could be 'too quiet' for my daughter, but the barn (which is fully equipped with games, tables/chairs, and a little shop/bar) provides a central place where everyone congregates throughout the day. Totally geared up for peace and quiet, being out in nature, yet some dedicated features not typically associated with camping (compost loo, fire pit, picnic table and water tap for each pitch was a dream!). And the hosts were friendly, full of fascinating facts and good conversation. Would highly recommend, I'm looking forward to heading back next year.

I arrived on a Monday afternoon as I wanted to miss the noise and busyness at the weekend. The site was immaculate and just what I needed for a few days away. There was plenty of room to not be bothered by neighbours and plenty of the orchard pitches are close to the river which is perfect for paddling. The showers are clean and I got a decent time for £1. I didn’t have a pizza from the restaurant but they looked amazing. I loved Bredy’s Farm and will definitely come back.

The Mead offers plenty of space for campers.

This camp site was so lovely. It was really peaceful and felt nice and private as you have your own area. Everyone that worked there was very nice and we really enjoyed having a cider outside and playing the games they have available. There are also lots of supermarkets a reasonable close drive which was convenient. Toilets were good, shower was ok but they said they have new ones nearly finished. I would definitely recommend it here!

We really enjoyed our stay at Bredy Farm, which is set in gorgeous countryside & is close to many fabulous beaches along the Jurassic Coast. As they advertise, the campsite can & does get noisy on a Friday & Saturday night, but it's blissfully quiet on weeknights so it's all a question of balance. Having a pool, a bar, a great Italian restaurant & live music/ DJs just over the road on the main farm site means that there's loads to keep you entertained if you're feeling lively/ don't want to cook. All in all, a fun place to stay & a great base for exploring this part of Dorset.

Beautiful! We stayed on the Blackcap pitch at Coppet Hill Campsite and couldn’t have been happier. The setting is stunning—nestled amidst beautiful farm surroundings. It was wonderfully quiet, ideal for unwinding. The facilities were excellent—immaculately clean showers and washing-up areas, plus use of a shared fridge and freezer. The Blackcap pitch came with its own WC, a cold water tap, and a small fire setup—thoughtful touches that made the stay feel private and well-equipped. Excleent location. Just a short walk away are breathtaking trails along the Devon coastline—spectacular and easily accessible. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a tranquil, well-appointed camping experience with immediate access to nature’s best.

It was a really peaceful site with large well spaced pitches close to Lyme Regis. Pub within walking distance, we didn’t try it and you’d need a torch. Facilities well thought out with access to a fridge as a nice touch. Showers were cold at 6am but too early to ask anyone if this was a one off problem.

We loved pitching our tent at Tony's beautiful site. They pitches were big and spacious with stunning views, and the facilities were perfect. There welcome was very warm, and we were grateful for the offer of kites and games for the kids, and if the best local pubs.
