We loved this campsite. It was remote, super quiet, clean facilities and perfect for a getaway. We enjoyed fishing in the lake. Stands are nice and big and neatly marked out. We'll recommend it anyday. Quick 20min drive to Lyme Regis and other local beaches.

We stayed at Dorset Hideaway and overall had a pleasant stay.
Our pitch was a great size, giving us plenty of room for our tent, car and equipment without feeling cramped. The picnic bench on the pitch was a really useful addition and saved us having to unpack one of our own.
The toilet and shower facilities were modern, clean and well maintained throughout our stay. We also used the accessible toilet. Whilst it was spacious and clean, there is still a small lip at the entrance which could make independent access difficult for some wheelchair users. Coming back out was much easier.
The only real disappointment was the fire pit, which was an extra charge. It was simply an old washing machine drum, and because of the large holes in the sides, flames escaped very easily. Unfortunately this caused a small grass fire during our stay, which thankfully our neighbouring campers helped us put out before it spread. We would recommend the site either replacing these with purpose-built fire pits or making guests aware of the increased fire risk.
Overall, the site itself was clean, spacious and well looked after, but improving the fire pits would make for a much safer experience.

Great campsite with good amenities (very clean bathrooms!). Lovely field for pitching tents/vans, with easy options for sorting log burners. Accepted a last minute booking which saved our holiday! Would book again for a future trip to the area. Recommend bringing a map for navigating to/from the site as signal can be a tad spotty (which makes the stay unplugged and relaxing!)

The site is well kept, with all amenities clean and modern. It’s perfect if you have children, with a large grass area for games and play. It’s in a beautiful area, surrounded by lovely views and good walks. One down side was being charged £5 for arriving 30min early it’s not a lot but I didn’t feel it necessary as I’m not sure what we were paying for! I wouldn’t visit again due to this. Bad customer service.
