Weekend Trip to Hideaway Hut, Camping cabin.

We had the best weekend in the gypsy caravan. The area was really pretty and felt very private and we had so much space to ourselves. The caravan itself was well equipped and the bed was really comfy. The separate bath caravan was also lovely.

Weekend Trip to Hideaway Hut, Camping cabin.

Thank you David, Jane & Tory for a wonderful stay at Little Fleece. It’s set in a gorgeous place with beautiful views! The Shepherds hut itself feels luxury - everything in there is thought of & we had the most comfortable sleep! Loved the little homemade biscuits, fresh bread & organic soap touches. The outside bath is just amazing! Also a big shoutout to Jane & David - that were the perfect hosts & so warm & friendly. They dropped us & picked up from the local pub nearby (so picturesque/overlooking the cricket ground) & got the fire going whilst we were out in the hot tub! It was perfect anniversary get away! We will be back & recommend to everyone we know!

Weekend Trip to Rocombe Valley Retreat

We had an absolutely amazing time staying in the shepherds hut, the host was really friendly and helpful, the views and surroundings were incredible, would definitely stay again

We had a wonderful stay at Rocombe Retreat surrounded by a plethora of birds, sheep, cattle and the luling of running water into the lake. Eliott was very helpful,-not only with practical advice on site but was also able to sign post us to local attractions. The farmer (sorry we forgot his name).was very accommodating and gave us a snapshot of his daily life. We were very fortunate to see the weighing in from the fishing competition that took place on site. Truly amazing fishermen in the area! It really felt like home away from home. We will definetley recommend and will visit again.

Wonderful stay at Little Fleece. Jane was extremely welcoming, homemade bread and shortbread biscuits waiting for when we arrived. Jane was accommodating with my nut allergy making sure nothing had nuts in which was appreciated. Overall we had brilliant stay and we can’t wait to stay again! Thankyou!

Stunning views, beautiful Shepard's hut, all the little added extras, making it so homely and wholesome, the hot tub is gorgeous, the fire pit was fantastic, just sitting out all night with a 🍷 catching up with each other and the🔥 keeping us warm, was utterly superb ❤️😍 we absolutely loved every second ❤️ and our hosts, David, Jane and Tory were exceptional. This is a really wonderful place to stay. We met Rich shortly after arrival who was so friendly and welcoming, gave us a few hints and tips on getting the hot tub going among other things. The shepards huts are beautifully decorated with excellent facilities, all crockery is of premium quality and you can see the love and care that’s gone into creating them. Highly recommended place, thank you so much for letting us experience the hut

3 nights at Cholderton Estate, near Stonehenge

We absolutely loved our stay at Livingstone! From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel right at home. Rich and Em were available for anything we needed, but our whole stay felt very private which was lovely. They were the perfect hosts! The estate is very easy to find and is conveniently located just off of the main road. The hut itself was really cosy, and had everything we needed for a short stay. We loved waking up to the gorgeous view of the estate and watching the birds in the morning from the bed. The hut had all the essentials, they even had some marshmallows for toasting on the fire, such a treat. The hot tub was the perfect touch, especially for a chilly February night. We enjoyed relaxing around the fire pit, and making pizza too - definitely recommend brining a pizza dough! We loved it so much that we are already planning our next trip back!

We came for a family birthday getaway at the end of Feb. The hut is private but there is a two person hut reasonably nearby. The Shephards hut has everything you need outside and in, regardless of weather. We had moments eating out in the sun, then a brief hail shower and rainbow in the hot tub. One night was so clear we spent the evening star gazing from the hot tub. There is a farm and wild bird sanctuary nearby so an abundance of wild life throughout the day. Kites, peacocks, buzzards, peasants, deer etc. We did several local walks but the best for the kids was the farm > wood walk, which had a hidden wood swing too. The hosts were quick to help when we needed it and the location was very picturesque. It was a perfect birthday escape. We'd love to come back and see it in the summer!

Owl's Hollow - a quirky wooden showmans in a hidden Devon valley. Perfect secluded location for a relaxing couples getaway & off the beaten track. Beautiful hideaway in its own piece of wild. Sit quietly & listen to the sounds of the babbling brook & birdsong, bathe in our luxury outdoor bath and watch the stars Owls Hollow is a unique wooden showman’s (much bigger than a standard shepherds hut) which we have lovingly restored ourselves to offer you a unique and unusual space for that lovely escape back to nature . The showmans has a wooden mollycroft roof, to preserve this we have added an external covering, which not only adds to the quirky design but also means the inside is kept lovely and cool in the heat and cosy and warm on chilly nights when you light the wood stove. There are numerous windows to allow plenty of natural light. We have added plenty of attention to detail with our craft skills, including chainsaw carved owls! Super comfortable double bed, cosy wood burner, kitchen, table and seating, cosy reading area, ample wardrobe and cupboard space: all make for those glamping luxuries. Outside light on porch with boot and coat area. Half a dozen eggs, tea, coffee and sugar are provided, please bring your choice of milk as we are no longer able to supply this. Owls Hollow has power for lights and sockets. There is no internal plumbing, water is in a traditional jug and ample barrels of water with taps for ease of use are provided in the tented utility area. This also houses the fridge, washing up sink, and undercover area to sit. All the water here is natural spring water and there is no WiFi, and rarely any phone signal (*update: unless you are with O2, possible signal)- so you can relax and just get back to nature. Outside you have a camp fire area with seating and fire dish, which also doubles up as a large BBQ. There is an open tented utility area, also outdoor table and chairs and two sun loungers. The first two evenings ample worth of firewood is provided with your booking, further bags can be bought on site for £5 if required. We have a friendly small black cat who is likely to visit you around the fire! Welcome to shoo her away or let her be- but she is strictly not allowed in the showman’s! It’s half a minutes walk along your path to the glamorous compost toilet (with solar lights) and the ultra special bathroom! The quirky bathroom comprises 2 indoor areas- one with dressing room and hot shower, the other with wash basin. Only Eco friendly products can be used: we provide shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and soap for your convenience. Your towels and dressing gowns will be provided ready folded on the shower area shelving. Outside is the wonderful outdoor bathing experience! Relax in the deep cast iron bath watching the day go by, or the night sky (and often owls and bats!) Instant hot water means you can stay in for as long as you like, topping up as needed! Take a book and a pot of tea / glass of wine and just lay back and soak. The advantages of our spring water fed bath over hot tubs are no need for chemicals, adjust the temperature easily, eco friendly and two can still fit! There is also the option to use the attached shower head. 240v sockets available in the dressing area, hairdryer supplied. A tent pitch is also available when booking Owls Hollow, please enquire. Arts at the Old Mill

We live in a secluded idyllic hamlet only 11 miles from the centre of Cardiff. Yr Hen Felin used to be the flour mill serving Dyffryn House and the Estate. Later it became the woodsman’s cottage. The water wheel no longer exists, but the river runs through the property. The five acre site has two beautifully converted horseboxes and a shepherd’s hut with exclusive use of my art room which has a kitchenette, a woodburning stove and table and sofabed. For those who enjoy a more modern experience we have a dwelling with boifold doors on two sides and spectacular views. The 4 self catering accommodations have their own private spaces, barbecues and their own private hot tubs. We also have a small holding with sheep, alpacas, a pig, hens, ducks and fan tail doves.
