We moved here in 2021 to start a camping site. It has been our dream for a long time to give people a great experience and enjoy the wonderful part of the UK that we live in. Come and make some memories. We have 27 acres, the campsite is approx 5 acres with well spaced pitches. and includes access to the wooded area and lake also. We have 2 fields that we have separated for children and dogs to play. There is a stunning lake where you can watch ducks, birds and geese. The wooded area is brimming with wildlife and wild flowers, deer are often running by in the woods. This area is a like a world away, an idyllic escape.

I have always loved Sweet Hill Farm. It’s a lovely relaxed campsite with sea views and amazing walks nearby. Also, being able to have a camp fire is fantastic. The showers are brilliant too. The only disappointment for me this year is that the compost loos have been replaced with horrible portaloos! Please bring back compost loos, they are so much nicer!

1 night at Sweet Hill Farm

This was my first time camping here and I will definitely return again. Whilst SatNav got me most of the way, the directions on Hipcamp made the last little bit of the journey much easier. I was welcomed warmly at the well-stocked little cafe, and given a map to show my how to get to the field I pitched in. The tracks on-site are full of large potholes - so definitely something to be mindful of, especially if you have extremely low-suspension on your car! However, take it slow and easy and all is well here. I had the most amazing view, from where I pitched up, over to Portland Bill lighthouse. Both sunset and sunrise were stunning. Facilities here are extremely basic - but it’s enough for those that simply need to get away from life for a while and sleep under the stars without all the creature comforts of home. Of course, there is a place for being able to have all the mod-cons available, but this is camping the way it should be done! I wasn’t here long enough to speak to any of the other campers, but everyone seemed relaxed and there was no loud music or anything played into the night, meaning I could drift to sleep easily enough at the end of the day. Weekend Trip to Yurt in the Orchard

Very private, lovely place so quiet, facilities were great, Chris was amazing and went ab9ve and beyond for us. Even put gazebo up over the seating area as on arrival it was raining hard. Yurt was amazing bed was really comfortable. Hot tub was an added bonus and the Bluetooth speaker was a nice touch. our dogs absolutely love the grounds. Would highly recommend. And I think we will be back again one day.

This was my first time ever camping and I had a great time at this site, it's the perfect mix of rural, real camping with local amenities near enough especially for someone doing camping for the first time. Located right near the coast, it's a beautiful view, excellent facilities including showers and cafe. The only downside is that when I did arrive in the evening there was no one to greet us, even though the cafe should've been open at that time but other than that no complaints, wonderful hosts and would definitely go again.

Amazing stay with beautiful views. The tent is equipped with everything you need and beds are comfortable. The environment is very calm and pizza night really is a success, not only the pizza's are very nice but you get to know the other people staying - amazing if you have kids as they start playing together. We had an amazing time and would definitely return and recommend the stay.

Amazing quiet spot (except for some noisy sheep!), plenty of space per pitch & lovely sea views. excellent shower and toilet facilities a very short walk away. Picnic bench and fire pit and wood provided. The tent itself was amazing - looked brand new, on a raised deck which kept it dry and clean & chairs to sit and watch the sun rise with a cuppa, comfy warm beds, rugs, blankets, hot water bottles all provided. Cute little “kitchen” hut with a gas hob and kettle and pans and crockery and cool box - everything we needed for a short break was thought of and provided. Great communication with the hosts beforehand as well. Would highly recommend and love to return if we’re in the area again.

Had a really nice time at Rocombe Valley Retreat, Elliot was very welcoming on arrival, the bell tent was great and comfortable. The site was quiet and clean and they had a lot of essentials there ready to use in the shared kitchen, including a fridge/freezer to store food in. Wood fired hot tub was a nice treat to top it off.

We had a lovely welcome from Charlotte and some of her family. The site is amazing, lots of fields to suit everyone’s needs. We had a sauna one night which was fabulous and the sauna/ well-being area is beautifully cared for by Daniel who is a brilliant sauna host. The view from the camping fields is amazing, Portland Bill and the wildness of the countryside including the farm’s horses was lovely to wake up to every morning We were lucky enough to have music on one night, which was great fun Would definitely recommend and looking forward to a return trip.

Mooie kleine camping op loopafstand van het strand. Wij stonden op plek 7. Heerlijk rustig, geen verkeer of vliegtuigen te horen. De omgeving is een landschap met veel smalle weggetjes met hoge hagen, wandelen kan heel goed langs de kust. Goede pub waar je kunt eten op 7 min rijafstand. Gastvrouw is vriendelijk, kinderen mogen in de tunnelkas spelen. Douche en wc is basic zoals we gewend zijn in Engeland maar prima.

The site has communal bathrooms for both men and women and very convenient sinks for dishes. Despite having beautiful animals like horses, sheep, and goats, it's very clean and doesn't smell bad. It has beautiful views of the sea, and the people who serve the coffee and sell firewood are very kind. The showers are chargeable (£1 for 3 minutes), and the cold water ones are outside, unprotected, like the ones on the beach; there's no direct access to the sea.
