The site is a unique woodland valley folded around a clear, spring-fed lake created from the old Tregildrans Quarry. Our tipis and tent pitches are dotted about this secret 20 acres full of ferns, bluebells, oak and meadowsweet.
Left in peace for many years there's been no modern chemicals or poisons on the land, meaning we've got bluebells, dormice, Red Admirals and shy woodland Jays for you to spot.
It’s a place set apart from the rush and clutter of the modern holiday experience, with an atmosphere that makes you forget the world outside, and just lounge, ramble, or potter about in a boat.
We're committed to giving you a genuinely individual service from first contact to your time staying with us.
We established CTH in 1996. This was the first and we believe still is the best tipi holiday site in the UK. We know our area inside out and can always help with local knowledge or contacts if you need them.
We want to offer our guests a sustainable holiday. A return to real camping means the lowest possible impact on the land and environment - our tipi poles don’t even break the surface of the earth. Your footprint while here could only be bettered by a survival expert. You don't have to fly! a major bonus, and we source all our wood, fish and canvas locally and work with local people wherever possible.

This peaceful, sheltered site has a special character. The site is the ideal place to unwind with plenty of safe space, a meandering river and friendly atmosphere. It offers 4 acres with facilities, 7 acres of wilderness, shower block, level pitches, picturesque river, children’s playground and has been rated AA 4 star gold pennant.
Becky and John both love Cornwall and fell in love with the site as soon as they saw it and it provided the perfect opportunity for a new challenge.
Having only recently taken over at Willow Valley in the Summer of 2024, there are always ongoing improvements being made so make sure you keep in touch. Any returning campers will be glad to know we aren’t changing the campsite itself though. Why would we when it is already so perfect!

Weekend Trip to Coverack Camping & Glamping
The tent was bigger than I imagined, very sheltered and private. Loved the considerations to the environment, the compost loos, solar panels. Great communication when I enquired about firewood. Easy access to Coverack, great coastal walks and swimming beaches nearby. Would highly recommend.

We loved our stay in The Bunker at Glan y Mor! The bunker itself was spacious enough for the two of us, warm, and the bed was very cosy. It was stocked with everything we needed for cooking, and the wood stove inside was a nice touch. Its location on the campsite also made it feel more private, which was great. The firepit outside the bunker and handy access to firewood really added to our stay.
The campsite is nicely landscaped and set out, and maintains a natural woodland area. The amenities are well laid out, well maintained and high quality. The radio playing ClassicFM in the toilet block was a nice touch. There is a communal fridge and firepit, as well as other basics such as a kettle. The campsite was quiet - we had no issues with noise even though the site was busy throughout our stay.
Cath and Adam were friendly and responsive, welcoming us to the campsite and recommending us nearby places to visit.
The campsite is within easy walking distance within the centre of Pembroke Dock, and is also centrally located to a range of points of interest in the region, making it a great base during your stay.

Would highly recommend , we stopped in the safari lodge and had the whole site to our selves kids and dog loved it . lodge was very clean and so was the shower and toilet facilities also has a kitchen what has everything you need if you do forget anything with an honesty box to leave the money in . We was lucky to have a clear night so seeing all the stars at night was amazing also spotted deers in the morning. Very pleased with our stay

I travelled with two older grandsons. We were delighted with the space and facilities. I’m from that area but had no idea that this Secret Garden was there!
A pullout bed made sleeping for 3 adults possible. Nice little shower room and cooking equipment good. Outside seating area and hot tub were wonderful. We made fires each night and sat out late with hot chocolate to see the stars.
Fun swing (log on a rope) was enjoyed by all of us. The boys were surprised and delighted as was I
Sheryl communicated by message and was so helpful. The fresh eggs (option) were delicious.

We had a lovely stay in the school bus! It was surprisingly roomy and very well equipped. Hosts were very welcoming on arrival and always about should we have needed help during our stay. The campsite itself was lovely and quiet, the facilities very clean and well maintained and a useful little shop should you need something! Would definitely recommend this stay to others - thank you!

Absolutely delightful stay steeped in the quiet rolling hills of Carmarthenshire. The dome is set away from the rest of the site so you're surrounded by fields and woodland. Michael is a very attentive and lovely host. The dome felt very spacious even with 4 of us in it. Beds were super comfy and we loved having a campfire into the evening. The showers and compost toilets were some of the best we've used as seasoned campers. We loved the ducks and chicks and the butterflies in the lavender and dancing through the fields. A beautiful place to find peace and rest. Thank you Michael 🙂

Weekend Trip to Big Barn Camping
I booked the Dome as a friend's birthday gift, it was so lovely, it was away from the other campers, so we felt like v.i.p's. The location was perfect, 10 min drive to the beach. It had everything we needed. The host Michael, was fantastic, there to greet us and show us where to go, explained where everything was and to let him know if we needed anything, he even has a honesty box for fire wood and small supplies incase you have forgotten something. The bed was so comfy, with a table and chairs to sit and eat breakfast, there was plenty of room. We were able to have a campfire, which made the camping night perfect. I definitely would stay again! Thank you for a lovely stay!

We had a lovely stay at the Chalet. Hot tub was lovely and warm with music hook up. The chalet was really cosy and nice hot shower. The garden was lovely and my son enjoyed the rope swing, playing with the cat and building a fire. Hope to come again! Crantock beach with free parking for National Trust members is nearby.

The Camping dome or bubble house as our 2 year old called it was, clean and spacious with a log burner for warmth and electric hob for that morning coffee. Only a few glamping spots so not overcrowded. Loved the ecleptic oldy worldy decor around the site. Plenty of character. Decent shower, toilet and communal kitchen facilities.
Our daughter loved the Alpacas. Thankyou Nick and Tracey for the stay.

Weekend Trip to The Secret Garden
Thanks Sheryl for a beautiful weekend, we had the most special 21st celebrations! The site is great really spacious and the utilities are ideal, meant we could cater for 11 of us. Has everything you’d want with the fire pit and hot tub! Sheryl was great as well, super welcoming and helpful, sorted out any issues we had immediately. Location is sweet too, we walked and bussed into town both were easy. And nice ducks!

Beautiful field, really idyllic and peaceful. Huge tent with a comfy bed, and handy having power points in the kitchen hut. The provisions for cooking are quite basic (could have done with an extra saucepan and a colander), but the outside stove worked well and our 3 year old loved the whole experience.

It was a brilliant weekend in Bluebird - the comfy, spacious American bus. We loved every minute! The campsite is really well set up and peaceful, I'd highly recommend both the site and the bus.

We had a great stay in the bluebird bus, our little boy especially loved it. Nice touches such as the welcome bag, biscuits, some tea and small squash. Logs and lighters for the chiminea and log burner all added to a fantastic stay.
The campsite itself was really peaceful and relaxing. The toilets and showers seemed to be brand new and really clean.
Great location for the beaches and walks.
We will definitely be back.

We loved our stay here! Perfect combo of seclusion and creature comforts - loved the fact the kids (9 and 6) could ramble solo and safely through the woods, they loved the animals, the set up was perfect, everything we needed, would totally come again. Gets cold at night so would recommend lighting the wood burner in the dome at night, we came before Easter when the weather was lovely and it was still chilly overnight, bring cash for bits like wood!
