This peaceful, sheltered site has a special character. The site is the ideal place to unwind with plenty of safe space, a meandering river and friendly atmosphere. It offers 4 acres with facilities, 7 acres of wilderness, shower block, level pitches, picturesque river, children’s playground and has been rated AA 4 star gold pennant. Becky and John both love Cornwall and fell in love with the site as soon as they saw it and it provided the perfect opportunity for a new challenge. Having only recently taken over at Willow Valley in the Summer of 2024, there are always ongoing improvements being made so make sure you keep in touch. Any returning campers will be glad to know we aren’t changing the campsite itself though. Why would we when it is already so perfect!

Nearly wild camping with spectacular views? Stars and Moor in Bodmin Moor National Landscape certainly has views in spades – right to the distant south coast in fact – and what’s more, there are just a handful of off-grid camping pitches on site, all spread out across two acres of pasture surrounded by Cornish walling. We are a Greener Camping Members Site. To Join is £12.00 for the remainder of the year if you are not already a member. You can join when you arrive. We accept credit cards on site. All the pitches are on grass and you can pick your preferred spot on arrival. Vehicles are parked in a designated area, from which your gear is transported to the pitches in a wheelbarrow. Facilities in the converted horse trailer include hot showers and fully plumbed loos, and there’s ample hot water to make your alfresco washing up less of a chore – but please do note there’s no electricity on site. On-site entertainment is all about the views, which you can appreciate while cooking on your firepit – hire one on site, complete with a supply of firewood. The skies on cloudless nights are a glittering marvel that you can share with family and friends while cosying up around the fire. Pack walking boots for yomps on Bodmin Moor footpaths from your tent, and bring bikes for cycling on moorland tracks or canoes for adventures out on Siblyback Lake. Local amenities are a short stroll away in the village of Minions (20 minutes’ walk), where there’s a well-stocked shop and the highest tea room in Cornwall. Heading in the opposite direction are two pubs within 15 minutes’ walk.

A Spacious, peaceful site with great facilities just 5 miles to the beach. Far from the crowd but close to everywhere, being just 1/2 a mile to the village shops, bakery and restaurants and only 1.5 to the town. A small number of pitches over 3 meadows where you choose where you want to pitch when you arrive, being assured of a great space for your stay, bring whatever size tent or your campervan and enjoy the great facilities include flushing toilets, hot showers and a wash up area with hot water, together with a communal fridge, microwave and phone charging sockets. There's drinking water in every meadow. So, relax and listen to the birds and enjoy the surrounding nature and magnificent views across the Cornish countryside whilst you sit by the fire. A great location to explore from being fairly central. We're close to the Tresavean Trail which links to the network of trails throughout Cornwall, so bring your walking shoes or cycle. Horse riding is just a 5 minute drive and if you fancy a spot of windsurfing/ canoeing, then Stithians lake is just 2 miles away. For the surfers amongst you there are several great beaches within a short distance and there's a handy wetsuit wash area when you get back. Dogs are welcome - all we ask is that you clean up and use the waste bin on site. This quiet site is perfect for children 8 years and over with plenty of space for a ball game or two. Fire pits and bbq's are allowed as long as they're raised off the ground - we have blocks for you to use. To respect the privacy of all campers, no visitors are allowed.

We really enjoyed our time camping at Gear farm. It is a small field with access to two adjacent fields for walking and games. There are flushing toilets and electric showers and two fridge freezers. All pitches have vuews of the helford valley down to the river. The site is well placed for visiting the peninsula or heading into wider Cornwall. Across the road is the Gear Farm pasty shop and also a honesty shop which was handy.

Gorgeous site in north Cornwall. We (family of four with a six-man tent) stayed for a week in Gosel’s in August, we booked because we loved the secluded nature of the pitch, hidden in the trees and the possibility of wild swimming and canoeing in the quarry- both were just as amazing as expected. We went down to the quarry first thing every morning and normally had it to ourselves - saw a barn owl from the canoe one morning which was exciting for all of us. Wished we’d brought our fishing stuff as other kids were catching rainbow trout regularly! Having a stand pipe and a picnic table on the pitch was a luxury- the site had a sensible approach to camp fires (and actually to all things H&S which we really appreciated). Compost loo and hot shower was a minute walk away with flushing loos available a bit further on- these facilities were absolutely fine, well maintained and exactly as advertised. You can drive to pitch to unload and then park in the carpark which is our preference. The on-site cafe- bar had a variety of drinks, pizza, salad and breakfast options and we treated ourselves a couple of times. All staff were lovely, chill and other guests largely great too. Brilliant spot for kids and teens but there were a wide range of different types of guest which is our preference. Would 100% recommend!

A lovely little site with incredible views, good amenities and a great sense of peace and tranquility. Feels secluded and private and yet just 5 minutes drive from shops and lovely parts of Redruth. Fridge space was fantastic and one minor thing that would have been handy would have been freezer access for cool box ice packs. Would definitely recommend and would love to stay again.

We spent a lovely few days at Roskilly’s - the campsite was perfect, peaceful and well maintained. The added bonus of delicious restaurant food and ice cream on the doorstep was great and the woodland/lake walks were beautiful. Would highly recommend.
