The site is a unique woodland valley folded around a clear, spring-fed lake created from the old Tregildrans Quarry. Our tipis and tent pitches are dotted about this secret 20 acres full of ferns, bluebells, oak and meadowsweet.
Left in peace for many years there's been no modern chemicals or poisons on the land, meaning we've got bluebells, dormice, Red Admirals and shy woodland Jays for you to spot.
It’s a place set apart from the rush and clutter of the modern holiday experience, with an atmosphere that makes you forget the world outside, and just lounge, ramble, or potter about in a boat.
We're committed to giving you a genuinely individual service from first contact to your time staying with us.
We established CTH in 1996. This was the first and we believe still is the best tipi holiday site in the UK. We know our area inside out and can always help with local knowledge or contacts if you need them.
We want to offer our guests a sustainable holiday. A return to real camping means the lowest possible impact on the land and environment - our tipi poles don’t even break the surface of the earth. Your footprint while here could only be bettered by a survival expert. You don't have to fly! a major bonus, and we source all our wood, fish and canvas locally and work with local people wherever possible.

This peaceful, sheltered site has a special character. The site is the ideal place to unwind with plenty of safe space, a meandering river and friendly atmosphere. It offers 4 acres with facilities, 7 acres of wilderness, shower block, level pitches, picturesque river, children’s playground and has been rated AA 4 star gold pennant.
Becky and John both love Cornwall and fell in love with the site as soon as they saw it and it provided the perfect opportunity for a new challenge.
Having only recently taken over at Willow Valley in the Summer of 2024, there are always ongoing improvements being made so make sure you keep in touch. Any returning campers will be glad to know we aren’t changing the campsite itself though. Why would we when it is already so perfect!

A Spacious, peaceful site with great facilities just 5 miles to the beach. Far from the crowd but close to everywhere, being just 1/2 a mile to the village shops, bakery and restaurants and only 1.5 to the town.
A small number of pitches over 3 meadows where you choose where you want to pitch when you arrive, being assured of a great space for your stay, bring whatever size tent or your campervan and enjoy the great facilities include flushing toilets, hot showers and a wash up area with hot water, together with a communal fridge, microwave and phone charging sockets. There's drinking water in every meadow. So, relax and listen to the birds and enjoy the surrounding nature and magnificent views across the Cornish countryside whilst you sit by the fire.
A great location to explore from being fairly central. We're close to the Tresavean Trail which links to the network of trails throughout Cornwall, so bring your walking shoes or cycle.
Horse riding is just a 5 minute drive and if you fancy a spot of windsurfing/ canoeing, then Stithians lake is just 2 miles away.
For the surfers amongst you there are several great beaches within a short distance and there's a handy wetsuit wash area when you get back.
Dogs are welcome - all we ask is that you clean up and use the waste bin on site.
This quiet site is perfect for children 8 years and over with plenty of space for a ball game or two.
Fire pits and bbq's are allowed as long as they're raised off the ground - we have blocks for you to use.

Feel at ease on every pitch at Sunset Camping, a quiet and very welcoming family-friendly campsite in central Cornwall. This west-facing spot is well positioned to soak up all-day sunshine and has some truly lovely views over the surrounding area.
Here you can watch the sun setting over the sea, take an evening stroll along the coast at Portreath's dog-friendly beach (10 minutes' drive), or relax with your pet (if you've brought one) over an end-of-day barbecue or campfire back at base. As for your days, you won't be short of options to fill them here: this centrally located site is within an hour's drive of most of the Cornish mainland, with top highlights like the Lizard Peninsula, Falmouth, Newquay, St Ives and Padstow all easy to reach.
Sunset Camping is in a particularly prime location for walkers and cyclists, close as it is to the protected coastal areas around Godrevy and St Agnes (both 10 minutes), the Coast To Coast Trail and the Great Flat Lode Trail (10 minutes), steeped in attractive country views and Cornish mining history.
Redruth (five minutes) is conveniently close to hand too, with pubs, cafés, supermarkets, a cinema and a railway station where you can set off on car-free day trips. Even closer to home are a dog-friendly pub, a discount supermarket and a play park (at North Country) – all of these are within a handy 10-minute stroll.

Nearly wild camping with spectacular views? Stars and Moor in Bodmin Moor National Landscape certainly has views in spades – right to the distant south coast in fact – and what’s more, there are just a handful of off-grid camping pitches on site, all spread out across two acres of pasture surrounded by Cornish walling.
We are a Greener Camping Members Site. To Join is £12.00 for the remainder of the year if you are not already a member. You can join when you arrive. We accept credit cards on site.
All the pitches are on grass and you can pick your preferred spot on arrival. Vehicles are parked in a designated area, from which your gear is transported to the pitches in a wheelbarrow.
Facilities in the converted horse trailer include hot showers and fully plumbed loos, and there’s ample hot water to make your alfresco washing up less of a chore – but please do note there’s no electricity on site.
On-site entertainment is all about the views, which you can appreciate while cooking on your firepit – hire one on site, complete with a supply of firewood. The skies on cloudless nights are a glittering marvel that you can share with family and friends while cosying up around the fire.
Pack walking boots for yomps on Bodmin Moor footpaths from your tent, and bring bikes for cycling on moorland tracks or canoes for adventures out on Siblyback Lake.
Local amenities are a short stroll away in the village of Minions (20 minutes’ walk), where there’s a well-stocked shop and the highest tea room in Cornwall. Heading in the opposite direction are two pubs within 15 minutes’ walk.

Weekend Trip to Belle Camping Cornwall
The bell tent was wonderful and the whole site is well designed and kitted out. The views of the Lizard from the campsite are beautiful and there is easy access to both the coast path and the nearby villages. Michelle and the site guys were friendly and helpful. Belle camping exceeded our expectations. And the Friday night pizza was amazing!

With kids
My family and I loved the campsite. We were 10 people: 7 adults and 3 5-year-old children. We chose one of the private sites and brought 4 tents. The site was large and private. We enjoyed 3 nights there and plan to return sometime soon. We cooked over a lovely campfire, which the kids loved.
They also went canoeing one morning, completing a fascinating trip.

Lovely campsite, the pods look like Tellytubby Land! It's a bit of a walk into Bude probably 40mins but the park and ride is almost opposite the site and very reasonable. We stayed in the Tree House, it was comfy and clean. It has a kettle, microwave, toaster, BBQ and fridge which is so convenient. Would recommend taking your usual cooking kit as there are plates, mugs, bowls and glasses but not pots and pans or stove. I might also take a picnic table if you like to sit in the sun as the seating area is shady. No curtains means you need a sleep mask if you like a dark room but I loved waking up to the sight of a blue sky. Would also recommend a torch for going up and down the steps at night.

I stayed in Gosels as a private pitch and absolutely loved it. The campsite was perfect blend of eco/modern (compostable/flushable toilets and hot showers) within a tranquil setting. I liked how the campsite was used in a traditional sense for escape keeping noise and disturbance down to a minimum. The quarry lake was a great area for a splash around and cool down. Though used heavily by young families, had enough space for all. I already miss my chicken and rabbit friends seen daily on my pitch. The location of the site was perfect for me to make some visits out to North Cornwalls surrounding beaches and beauty spots. Well worth the trip.

Prachtige plek met schitterend uitzicht. De badkamer in de trailer is charmant en helemaal goed en het is handig dat er een vriezer en koelkast aanwezig zijn. Toen wij er waren waaide het hard en dat kan wel wat vervelend zijn omdat je boven op een heuvel staat. Een windscherm kan helpen. De hosts zijn erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam.

We had the most wonderful stay glamping in the beautiful bell tent! From the moment we arrived, Michelle gave us a fantastic welcome – she was incredibly accommodating and full of helpful local knowledge about the area.
The tent itself was perfect – warm, spotlessly clean, and really well set up. It felt like a cosy home-away-from-home, and we settled in straight away. The surrounding area was absolutely stunning, with the tent fields overlooking the breathtaking Cornish coast – waking up to that view was truly special.
Our dogs loved it too! They settled in quickly and had such a lovely time exploring. The location is ideal – just a short distance from Cadgwith Cove, the Lizard Peninsula, and the iconic Kynance Cove.
One of the great added touches was the on-site catering van, which served up delicious breakfasts and evening meals – super convenient and tasty!
We can’t recommend this place highly enough. It’s peaceful, beautiful, and full of thoughtful touches that made our stay extra special. Thank you so much for having us, Michelle – we’ll definitely be back!

Michelle's beautiful bell tent is well named. She was the perfect host, provided in the tent everything you could want.. lights, games a barbecue too! we'd forgotten our coffee pot.. but not to worry, she provided everything a camp chef would need! The tent came with a toolbox too and she refreshed the ice boxes for us daily too. Lovely beds and setting was perfect..wr watched tje moonrise over the sea just across the field with her tip off, stunning.
Great tips on where to swim etc.. the flushing toilet is a treat too! Car can be parked next to tent for extra convenience.

So it’s fair to say that as adults with no kids we probably should have realised how busy the site would be and how many children would be there! That said the campsite itself is well laid out and the facilities are lovely and clean, there was some queuing for toilets and showers due to the numbers on site, so best to use before rush hour! We had an amazing meal at the restaurant and pre ordered the chefs special which did not disappoint! Staff were great! Very attentive and the local band performing had us all up and dancing the night away! Location wise you have easy access to the SW Coastal path and we had a great walk into the village of Coverack. So all in all a great stay and we will certainly go back, even if just for the food ❤️ but not till the kids are back at school 🤣 👍

Charming family campsite with great views. Simple but very well maintained. Great location near beautiful beaches, coves, and wooded combes. Having a 24/7 supply of fresh organic veg and the finest pasties in Cornwall just across the road doesn't hurt either. Highly recommended.

I stayed in the lower field, which I had all to myself. It was lovely and peaceful--not that that the other campers were at all noisy. You'll have to work a bit to find a flat spot, but they're there, and it's worth it once you do. Victoria was very responsive and helpful, supplying me with firewood on short notice. Highly recommended if your camping solo (like me) or with a whole group of friends.

Very spacious, quiet, well maintained campsite. The bell tent was very well equipped and the outside kitchen covered with a tarp was very convenient. Everyday frozen cooling elements are provided for the cool box. Great service! Lesley and Tony were super friendly and helpful. The kids had lots of fun playing and could wander on their own around the campsite. Can recommend staying here!
