The campsite supports the 1000-year-old Chantry Farm in the South Downs National Park on Wolstonbury Hill with 3 listed Bronze Age earthworks. There are some lovely local pubs, the Plough has a great range of food and is a short walk. Nature spontaneously provides blackberries, sloes.. which are shared. The Barn Owl have their own boxes (although they still enjoy the big barn) and skylarks sing high above the tussocky terrain. Come join them! Even if your singing isn't so good.

Our Shepherd’s Hut offers the perfect hideaway with hot tub. Nestled in an orchard, overlooking a private meadow, this hand-built hut combines rustic charm with modern comforts. A wood burning stove means it can be used all year round and has a bathroom & shower. Fire pit. The Hot tub is optional and is charged at £28 for two nights payable separately on site. The double bed is a pull down type operation which is very simple . The bedding is permanently laid. When not in use there is a table to dine. 2 nights at Sindles Farm Glamping and Camping

It was so lovely to camp on Laura's land in the Hampshire Hut: it was warm and cosy at night, and there was a beautiful breeze when I lay down on the bed to read late afternoon after walks in nearby fields and on the beach at West Wittering. My friend stayed in the adjoining Sussex hut and we took over the end of the field, cooking on the open fire. We heard an owl at night and hedgerow birds during the day: the huts looked across rural farmland where buzzards and Kites could be seen. Laura was so helpful and welcoming: a wheelbarrow of the driest wood made fires in the evening easy to light. The bathrooms were very comfortable, including starlit visits in the night. We also enjoyed visiting the new Goodwood Art Foundation just 20 minutes away by car.

A superb shepherds hut by itself on your own field. A marvellous outdoor kitchen with 30L fridge, twin gas (provided) burner, sink and hot (very) water. Easy to feed a family of four. Shower, and composting toilet, everything you need to just chill out and relax. We had a family of 4, two kids both approaching 6 foot and the king, bunk and Z bed were fine. Even space for the dog bed. Bioethanol burner in the hut, very welcome the first night. The site is great, tucked away down a track, great views of the scenery, sunrise and stars. Woodland, walks and birdsong right with you. Firepit and BBQ there as well with chairs. Alice was superb, very communicative and extremely helpful. Absolutely going to go back.

My husband and I had a fantastic bank holiday weekend here! It was a well needed glamping retreat in a quiet peaceful area. The nightingale hut was lovely with beautiful views of the countryside. Everything was clean and well maintained and I would definitely recommend it. Angela was very friendly and helpful too!

I came here to work on a play and this was the perfect place to do so. The cabin is cosy and well designed with interesting art. The stove is really effective, you have everything you need in the kitchen. The bed is comfy. The surroundings are extremely green and peaceful, I heard many birds including an owl at night. Andy was a communicative host. I’d definitely recommend this for anyone who would like a gentle break with the trees.

Me and my partner stayed at Skylark pod and it was very nice, lovely scenic getaway for our anniversary. The bed was comfy and the shower was very good. The only issue was there was quite a lot of dust cobwebs around so it wasn’t as clean as we expected. The sofa is also very uncomfortable. Would recommend though.

Weekend Trip to Sindles Farm Glamping and Camping

We had the most amazing overnight stay at the Shepherd’s Hut with our three young children and our dog. Laura gave us the warmest welcome - she was so friendly, helpful, and made us feel completely at home right away. The hut itself was spotless, beautifully presented, and thoughtfully equipped with everything we could possibly need. The kids absolutely loved exploring the surroundings, and it was such a safe, peaceful space for them to run around and enjoy the fresh air. Our dog was just as happy - plenty of room for walks and a truly pet-friendly atmosphere. Evening by the firepit under the stars was magical, and waking up to the sound of birds and stunning countryside views was the perfect escape from everyday life. Laura went above and beyond to make our stay special. We honestly didn’t want to leave!

Matt met us on arrival and helped carry our bags to the The Shepherds Hut which is well fitted out , nicely decorated , lovely and clean, and well equipped. Nice hot shower and towel rail. Electric fire and also a log burner should you need it for the cold weather,The bed was so so comfy and the oat biscuits and eggs were delicious !! All windows had lovely views. Ivan & Sylvia S xxx

We had such a wonderful stay in the shepherd’s hut! Mandy greeted us when we arrived and kindly showed us to our hut, which was tucked away in a very private and peaceful spot. The hut itself was spotless, cosy, and welcoming. We were pleasantly surprised to find oat flip biscuits waiting for us, along with coffee pods and milk — such a thoughtful touch. At night, the skies were incredible, and we loved sitting outside stargazing in complete tranquillity. One of the highlights was meeting Timmy and Otto, the resident sheep. Timmy in particular is such a character — he loves a scratch under the chin and made us smile every day. Throughout our stay we didn’t have a single disturbance — it was just pure peace and relaxation. I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet, charming getaway with a touch of nature and plenty of comfort. We can’t wait to come back!

Lovely spot, really private, good bed and bedding and the bath was a treat. If the hot tap on the bath goes cold just turn it off and on again. It is close to a (small, not busy) road but that was only small downside.
