Weekend Trip to Hastingford Fishery Glamping
A wonderful host, a stunning view, birds everywhere, my first view of a kingfisher in my 56 years of life, every comfort and a lovely lake just in front with a whole assortment of ducks. Just wonderful.

It was great for my first trip with my son 11. Everything was exactly as advertised and more. Will definitely be returning next year and will certainly explore more of the 460acres of stunning woodland.

Stunning location! The view was fantastic and there was some lovely walking routes around to local landmarks and pubs. The hut was great, plenty of storage and well equipped with everything you need.

Weekend Trip to Hastingford Fishery Glamping
Amazing shepherds hut with outstanding views of the surrounding area and lake. The hut itself was immaculately clean and has all you need within. Mark and Geraldine are really lovely! So helpful and kind.

Good location. Short walk or drive into Battle.
Very well organised and clean camp.
Philippa and her husband were welcoming and helpful.
We stayed in one of the bells which were comfortable and large enough for two adults and two children.

Weekend Trip to Hastingford Fishery Glamping
Carp's hut is absolutely stunning , located in a beautiful and hidden area, offering you the privacy you need to disconnect from the city and connect to the nature.
We loved watching the birds , and feeding the ducks and geese . The stunning fishing lake has been a plus and we have enjoyed every moment on the balcony.
The host have offered us a welcome pack and have made us feel very welcomed. Thank you Mark and Geraldine for having us , will definitely return at some point.

Berty the Yurty is an amazing set up; the terrace area with the outside kitchen is gorgeous and where I spent most of my time, listening to birds and watching butterflies dance around wild flowers. Seating is well provided for with reclining wooden chairs (i don’t know the proper name for them) and a metal table and chairs which stay remarkably cool in the shade.
Hand sanitizer provided around the place and in the composting toilet for use before moving outside and across to the sink for a proper handwashing is just *chefs kiss*
I don’t think that there is anything that hasn’t been thought of and provided for an awesome yurting experience here; and if you need anything then George and his team are very responsive via messaging (and I expect by phone and in person for the less shy) to bring more sawdust for the toilet, or eggs and apple juice from the farm that day.
If you have the opportunity to go then do! I’m so glad I did!

We Stayed in a beautiful yurt nestled near the forest, located on a charming farm.
Enjoyed fresh air, peace and quiet, and cozy comforts. Woke up to the scent of nature and started our day with our delicious homemade apple juice and fresh free-range eggs. The warm, welcoming host was happy to share local tips and helped make our stay relaxing and memorable.We would recommend to others 😃👍

Weekend Trip to Hastingford Fishery Glamping
On arrival, we were warmly welcomed by Mark, Geraldine's brother, who gave us directions to our hut (Perch). He followed us up, and made sure we knew where everything was in the hut, he had the fridge stocked with fresh milk, eggs, fruit juice, there was tea, coffee, sugar, even ketchup! Cooking oil... Tinfoil.... Everything we needed was there! The whole hut was beautiful clean and neat, and everything was very well thought of and planned out. The views were beautiful, no sound of passing traffic, lots of bird life, and the hut felt very private. My partner and I fished into the late evening and started early 5h30am the next morning. Mark came to our hut as agreed 10am punctually to deliver warm crispy croissants and bread rolls, with an assortment of jams and honey, we felt so spoilt! We felt the safety of knowing our hosts were nearby, with such kind hearts and warm smiles, ready to assist or help us in any way, but never on top of us. We broke a Champaign flute, and they replaced it right away. We ordered beef burger patties, sausages and bacon, a bbq charcoal pack and firewood to sit around the outside fire under the stars one night. The meat was so delicious we ordered more to take away with us. The fishing was great, we caught loads of fish. We could sit anywhere around either of the two fishing lakes. The farm is huge and we were welcome to walk the grounds and possibly see some deer. The hut was lovely and warm on arrival with the heater on. Definitely will be back.

We loved camping here! Beautifully maintained campsite with all the facilities we needed including kitchen area 🏕️ lovely hikes in the area and plenty of shops nearby. Took my London friends on their first camping trip and they loved it! We will be back 🙏

We stayed at the Goldcrest Breakaway for 6 nights with two large dogs in a tent and it was just fabulous! A very warm welcome from Sonia and the team and the facilities were immaculately cleaned by young adults involved in the project. I had the privilege of meeting a few of them and their commitment, politeness, and strong work ethic made my heart very full! ( We are both teachers) and just totally impressed with the whole concept and activities offered for the benefit of local community! We used the kitchen area with sink. microwave, large fridge and cooking facilities . Wood and kindling was available ( honesty box) for the built in log fires and an eating area behind the kitchen was lovely. We liked the aesthetic 'lighting' around these areas. We were also impressed with the toilets and 'wet room' shower facilities ( ideal for wheelchair users or anyone with mobility issues) with hot water available to wash hands. Our two dogs loved their walkies in the cool woodland area on the site. The location was very central to a variety of tourist spots. We enjoyed canal walks, Thetford Forest, Sutton Hoo , Italian ice cream in Great Yarmouth and visiting Constable painting scenes ( The Haywain). The first night we enjoyed and recommend excellent fish and chips from the Beccles Fish Bar. We would highly recommend this campsite and wouldn't hesitate to return. Sara and Mick Foley

This is a pretty little camping field on the edge of a village by a distinctive and interesting Norman church. Lovely rural spot. Everything is close together which is very convenient - car park, pitches, communal fire pits, toilet and shed with sink and honesty shop for essential items like wood for the fire. Lovely hot shower at the touch of a button. We camped early April 2025 when there was a lot of growth yet to come - the users of Involve have been busy planting and building things to make it a great stay. It will be even nicer in a month or so when the hedges and meadow grass has grown up more. The site is quiet but is next to roads on two sides (low level local traffic only). We were greeted by Mr Limpalot, the very friendly pheasant. It was lovely to meet Sonia who explained about the Involve project and their plans for the year ahead. This is a very well-maintained site and I would highly recommend.

Weekend Trip to Berty the yurty
We had an excellent stay at Berty the Yurty. As we stayed in Dec, even the wood burner was on for our arrival and Roy kindly met us to show us around. The facilities are impressive given the outdoor nature of the experience and it really is a chance to unwind and disconnect for a few days. The fresh eggs, sourdough, milk and apple juice were a lovely touch and Roy was very helpful when we needed the chopped wood topping up! Thank you for a wonderful stay!
