We had a wonderful stay. We arrived quite late, yet Evie was incredibly kind and still met us in person, even helping us with our luggage, which we really appreciated. The farm setting was a highlight - we were free to roam around, feed the chickens, and our little toddler absolutely loved jumping on the trampoline.
The cottage itself is beautifully secluded, giving us complete peace and privacy, and it truly had everything one could ask for, even a dishwasher in the kitchen. We especially enjoyed spending the evening by the firepit on the deck.
If you love hiking, there are plenty of great trails in the area as well. Highly recommend and can’t wait for our next stay.

We had a really lovely stay in the Bustard Hut. It was peaceful, quaint, and beautifully designed. The interior was unique and thoughtfully put together, and the hut had great facilities considering its limited kitchen space.
The little touches like the marshmallows, bread, and condiments were very much appreciated.
The only downsides were that the hut wasn’t quite as private as it appeared in the pictures, as we could see and be seen by the neighbouring hut from the hot tub, which wasn’t quite what we imagined. Also, there weren’t any trolleys available on arrival, so there was a lot of back and forth with bags since you can’t park next to the hut.
A few things that would be useful to have are some barbecue tools and maybe a fire mitt, as we had to use kitchen utensils to manage the fire. Overall, we had a lovely stay and really enjoyed the thoughtful touches throughout.

We had the most amazing overnight stay at the Shepherd’s Hut with our three young children and our dog. Laura gave us the warmest welcome - she was so friendly, helpful, and made us feel completely at home right away. The hut itself was spotless, beautifully presented, and thoughtfully equipped with everything we could possibly need.
The kids absolutely loved exploring the surroundings, and it was such a safe, peaceful space for them to run around and enjoy the fresh air. Our dog was just as happy - plenty of room for walks and a truly pet-friendly atmosphere.
Evening by the firepit under the stars was magical, and waking up to the sound of birds and stunning countryside views was the perfect escape from everyday life.
Laura went above and beyond to make our stay special. We honestly didn’t want to leave!

If you're looking for a peaceful & private retreat, this hidden gem is the perfect place to stay. We were warmly welcomed by Evie and daughter as soon as we arrived, even though it was a very wet & windy evening. Cottage Orne is cosy & comfortable with great views. Only natural sounds were to be heard including owls. After a day out walking with the dog in the beautiful surrounding countryside, it was lovely to be able to return & sit out on the decking, relax and warm yourself around the firepit. The fairy lights added a magical touch. The fenced cottage garden is ideal for those with dogs and having the freedom to access the extensive grounds was an unexpected treat. I had the most amazing camping experience here after not camping for 10 years, and it couldn’t have been better! 🏕️ The view is absolutely stunning, and the bell tent was a great size – clean, comfortable, and really cosy. The toilets and showers are quite basic, but honestly perfect for this kind of stay.
The host was super helpful with excellent communication throughout, which made everything easy and stress-free. I especially loved the firepit, and wood was available, which made the evenings extra special. 🔥✨
Overall, this place exceeded my expectations and gave me the perfect return to camping. Highly recommended!

We stayed at Cottage Orne for the August bank holiday weekend and so glad we booked it. Evie was amazing and always available if needed and our kids loved playing with the new puppies. Laura is the best host and the Pod was perfect!! The bed was super comfy, pod was really clean and the showers and toilets 10 out of 10. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting a peaceful night or few away. The little spot is peaceful and secluded just what we wanted !! Two very happy campers 🙂

Great little campsite! Richard welcomed us and asked if we needed anything. We asked for a firepit and logs which he brought over straight away. Showed us where everything was and we saw him round the site regularly.
We saw many animals from sheep to cows, to geese.

David and Jasper went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and taken care off. The campsite is near town, just a 20 minutes walk along the river. The facilities at the campsite are primitive, but adequate and clean. Loved the hot showers! We stayed in a yurt and that was very comfortable and very well equipped. Our kids (and the other kids at the campsite) spent most of the time in and around the tree with a swing, so nice! They called it the best campsite ever! Hope to come back one day!

Lovely weekend at the Hampshire hut at Sindles farm. Had a view of the maize fields, lovely walks on the door step. Stansted House and garden centre a short walk away. Chichester and wittering Beach a short drive away. Laura’s communication was great, so it was easy to find. The bathrooms were super clean too.

Beautiful location, we loved staying in the Shepherds Hut. Loads of thought has been put into the space, lovely individual garden with seating, hammocks, so nice to eat outside in the sunshine & to be able to use the outdoor hot tub after a swim. The spa was fab & swimming in the pond was tonic for the soul. We loved it. The meadow is beautiful and during our week in May we awoke to the sound of cookoos every morning - joy. We were in the smaller Yurt which was really warm and comfortable.
