Weekend Trip to Foot of the Downs
Me and my partner stayed at Skylark pod and it was very nice, lovely scenic getaway for our anniversary. The bed was comfy and the shower was very good. The only issue was there was quite a lot of dust cobwebs around so it wasn’t as clean as we expected. The sofa is also very uncomfortable. Would recommend though.

Me and my partner stayed at Chalky downs for 2 nights for a little get away ✨. Sharen’s land is beautiful, everyone is so friendly and we even got to order a sausage bacon and egg bap with tea and coffee in the morning! ☀️. We went into Brighton town for a bit of shopping and to see the sea, only a 14 minute drive and we parked in the station car park 👏🏼. Would 100% recommend and will definitely be going back! Thank you so much. 🫶🏼

Beautiful little spot with plenty to do in the surrounding areas. Whether it’s walking trails, pubs, wineries or even a medieval town.
There’s no water on the block but the local morrison’s is happy for you to bring water from there to the camp.
Highly recommend and gorgeous spot to set up camp.

Very well organised and clean camp.
Philippa and her husband were welcoming and helpful.
We stayed in one of the bells which were comfortable and large enough for two adults and two children.

My friend and I had a delightful stay, with our kids, at this charming little site, at the end of July. Katie, the campsite owner, couldn’t have been more friendly, helpful and accommodating. She made us feel welcome from the start. Nothing was too much trouble for her. The campsite is rustic, with drinking water vessels, buckets for showers (there was a place to heat up the water), and eco friendly toilets. The location next to the river is beautiful. The kids were in heaven. They swam, paddle boarded and road bikes to the local shops, and generally went on adventures. You are surrounded by nature, with cows only a few steps away. It’s a little slice of heaven. My friend and I actually managed to relax, which is unheard of whilst camping. The kids were so content and occupied. Thank you to Katie and your beautiful family. We will be back again for sure

We had a great weekend on Sharen‘s land, there appeard to be plenty of space although some places are a little hilly so need to be careful where you pitch your tent. Facilities were really clean, there were only three showers but luckily the campsite wasn’t overly busy, so it wasn’t an issue.

Beautiful surroundings, great place to pitch up my van for its first outing and has taught me what additions I need for my setup next time I go camping.
It’s well looked after has almost everything you need if you are a seasoned camper. The views are stunning and it’s so peaceful despite there being a fair few other people there. Would for sure stay again

3 nights at Foot of the Downs
If you want peace and quiet with nature, thats the spot. The "pod" was better than 5* hotel in bath. No seriously. Looked after, has everything you need. Enough space (for 2), possible 4 i would say. Needed more forewood, Angela replied within few minutes. Amazing host. If things will turn different will be coming back. Absolutely loved it.

We had such a lovely time at Chalky Downs. On arrival we were met by Sharon who was so welcoming and helpful. She had also noticed we had 2 little ones and had pre-arranged a spot with some shade for the hot weather, which was very thoughtful and appreciated.
The views are wonderful, and is close enough to a nice beach in Rottingdean and Brighton. Would definitely return

A campsite with a view! This campsite has the perfect location where you feel like you are in the middle of nowhere, but can be in Brighton city centre within 15 minutes. Facilities were great, lovely and clean, and Sharon was so friendly and accommodating. We would definitely return.

We had a wonderful stay at Roselands, with a fantastic view to wake up to!
The field was large, with four different groups pitching up on the level area, but more than space for everyone. Very convenient to find and access, and the A27 road noise wasn't too loud. Great location for a base to explore the many attractions in local area.
