We had a great weekend on the campsite, beautiful setting, lots of space to pitch your tent and have a camp fire. Great pub just down the road, only negative was the toilet/ shower block was sometimes quite busy but other than that Iâd highly recommend and will be returning again in a few weeks!

The campsite was fab! We were greated by two of the farm dogs that came with a ball in their mouth and the kids (3, 8 and 11 year olds) loved playing with them. They loved exploring the surroundings, discovering the goats, sheep, pigs and alpacas, it was great to have the woods for a walk too! they also loved the pile of hay bales to climb on!
The facilities were great, showers were good and had good pressure, although there will be a queue if you camp on a bank holiday! Toilets were good and clean too and the little kitchen was a bonus! We had our own kitchen but it was great to be able to boil some water to add to the dishes before washing up and if ours had failed like it did once in the past we would still had been able to cook. I liked that there was rubish and recycling disposal too. All in all we had a great time and will definitely consider going back and recommend it to friends and family (only reason I wouldn't is because I want to explore so many other places and I might not have time to go back! haha) Thank you x

We loved the site, and my son adored playing with the resident sheep dogs (who were impeccably behaved) the showers were lovely although more sinks would be useful to prevent queues for the loos with showers and basins when the camp site is busy. Free tea and coffee was a great touch and plenty of space! My son was enthralled by the owners motorbikes and they very kindly let him sit on them. They made his weekend! The only down side was the free roaming dog of another camper who wasn't paying attention to where their dog was and he stole food from the kids and wasn't being cleaned up after. I realise this is not the site owners fault but did impact on our enjoyment as we couldn't work out who the dog's owner was to speak to them.

Lovely spot, allowed to pick our own 'pitch' - nothing marked out, just go where you want. It's a back to basics campsite as advertised and that's what I like. We recevied a friendly welcome and everyone on the site was plesant and stuck to the no music after 10 rule. Lots of families and a good atmosphere.

Lovely campsite with great views. Plenty of space - over the BH weekend it was quite busy, with a whole range of different groups etc, everyone very friendly. my kids loved the resident sheepdogs, and the pigs. The toilet/shower block is very nicely done and kept as clean as possible, recognising it was very busy when we went. We'd definitely go back.

This was our first time camping, and it was a very beautiful experience. The amenities were clean and there is firewood if needed. Just be careful of the bumpy road :)

Group trip
Me and a group of friends stayed here for two nights and loved it. Loads of space to choose where to pitch (in hindsight we would have gone for a flatter pitch!), the toilets and showers are very nice, and it's in a great location to go on some walks from. The pub nearby, The Royal Standard, is incredible. On top of all that the owners and staff are all very welcoming and friendly. Would thoroughly recommend.

A lovely camp site, a large field where you can conveniently chose where and when you stay with no fuss. Toilet and shower facilities available and free wood. Although you should bring an axe as the wooden logs are rather big for a campfire. We stayed for two nights and it was a busy weekend with plenty of friendly and lulemined families. A very enjoyable time.

What a gem of a campsite. The owners and operators were so helpful and you can tell there is a lot of care going into running this site. The showers were clean and the rustic, laidback attitude in camping made for an amazing experience. Kids loved the neighbouring horses, alpacas, pigs and sheep. And there are several public footpaths nearby to enjoy, including one very short walk to the Royal Standard Pub. Couldnât recommend the place more. Thank you Frankie!

The campsite is set in beautiful surroundings, right in the middle of nowhere! The area is stunning and has lots of great walks nearby that our dogs loved.
The campsite is in a quiet area, great for when you want to escape for a tranquil weekend! The hill is a little steep, which may be tricky for people with mobility issues, but otherwise it is wonderful. The farm has a few animals which our kids loved visiting, and several red kites were proudly flying over throughout the day; this is a great place for nature lovers.
The toilet and shower facilities need a little TLC, but everything works fine. I avoided the portaloos though, not my cup of tea.
We will definitely visit again, it is such a lovely spot hidden away in a truly beautiful spot.

2 nights at Wingbury Farm Glamping
Our time on Williamâs land was everything we had hoped for. We wanted somewhere to get away from the busyness of Christmas for a couple of days and Oak Pod was perfect. The accommodation was cosy, comfortable and well-equipped and the views across the fields gave us that chance to chill we were seeking. The hot tub was sublime and the BBQ good. Will could not have been more helpful and ensured our stay was excellent. I am sure we will return.

2 nights at Wingbury Farm Glamping
Stayed here in December with my boyfriend and had a great time! The pods are well equipped with everything you need and the wood fired hot tub outside our pod was incredibly cosy and a nice touch. Itâs a very private vibe and felt safe. Only slight downside would be if youâre looking to go on a walk in winter months, itâs very wet and muddy so be prepared.
