With a private valley, formed in the last ice age, acres of land and woodland to explore, our farm has a very special feeling which has been mentioned by every visitor. Occupied by some beautiful wildlife, including buzzards and owls, deer, badgers and foxes.
The Wagons have a grass roof, firepits, sleep 4 (in double bunk format), they are hand-made from reclaimed materials salvaged from the local town and other areas, double skinned and insulated with sheeps wool. They have a 2-ring gas-burner in the cute kitchen area, dining table and seating, and are the perfect home away from home.
All the decor is vintage, including cuttlery, crockery and even the childrens teddy's.
Being on the doorstep of Dalby Forest, there are hours of entertainment to be had. You can follow the stream at the bottom of the valley to the River Derwent or venture into the surounding woods. We can provide a guest pass (free access) for Dalby Forest.
The Wagons are not powered by electricity and are romantically lit by candles and oil lamps. Heated by cast iron gas heaters.

Our beautiful 5m Glamping bell tents are in an amazing location. We are based on a small, peaceful caravan park at Flamborough with stunning sea views and private, direct access to the scenic white chalk cliffs, which are a short 5 minute walk, where you will find many different sea birds. We are very close to several award winning beaches and a short drive to the village, where you will find several pubs serving excellent food. Our location is perfect for romance, peace, and adventure!
Inside the tent there is a double memory foam mattress and two comfortable futons ready for you to bring your OWN SLEEPING BAG OR DUVET, as well as coir matting/rugs, apple crates, lanterns, an ottoman with a cool box inside and fairy lights. You will have your own picnic bench, where you can enjoy the coastal views from your pitch looking towards both Flamborough lighthouses, and out to sea. Enjoy incredible starry nights without any light pollution whilst gazing at the passing ships at night. We have an amenities block with clean toilets, however we DONT HAVE SHOWERS. Toilets and washing up area are close to the bell tent.

Lahtle Wood is an eco friendly off-grid Glamping site in North Yorkshire, catering for all age groups with the addition of delightful wood-fired hot tubs for our romantic 2 person pods. There is no electricity inside the pods but there is running water for our toilets and hot showers for your comfort.
We offer 15 Glamping units accommodating families and groups of all ages for 2, 4, and 6 people. Each pod has its own private area and facilities placed in the corners of 4 separate grassy glades hidden amongst the trees. The aim is for guests to unwind in the great outdoors, away from their electronic devices, discover how to light a fire to heat the shower boiler, cook on a camp fire grill and snuggle up around a log fire pit.
We are a dog-friendly site, but we do ask that dogs are kept on a lead and owners take responsibility and use the bins provided. Please be mindful of children playing within the wood and grassland.
Situated 10 miles from the old market town of Malton, 13 miles from the coastal town of Scarborough and only 29 miles from the city of York, we are perfectly located for you to explore close by local activities such as the North Yorkshire Water Park, Dalby Forest and Go Ape, Flamingo Land, the Sealife Centre, Eden Camp and Castle Howard, to name but a few. For the fit and active, take a stroll along the Wolds Way trail with delightful views across this beautiful County and rest half way round at our lovely local pub, The Dawnay Arms for lunch/dinner on route, only a miles walk from our site.

We loved staying at Bruce's farm. It was a really beautiful and peaceful setting, we were the only camping guests and the scenery was stunning. The wagons are very cute and cosy and full of interesting finds. Bruce is very helpful and offered to get us anything we needed from town, he also gave us a lovely tray of welcome local produce, which went down a treat. There was a bit of a plague of flies when we were staying, but this was to do with the prolonged hot weather and being on a farm. Be aware the composting toilet and barn facilities are a bit rough and ready, but not at all smelly and perfectly functional. Thanks so much for a wonderful weekend of quality time.

Weekend Trip to Greenoak Hideout
We had such a lovely stay at Greenoak. The hosts were so friendly and approachable and there were lots of lovely small touches that made the yurts feel homely and comfortable.
The log burners and electric blankets meant that we were warm over night and had a really comfortable sleep. We are looking forward to going in the Summer to be able to enjoy more daylight hours.
The boys (4 and 7) loved all of the friendly animals and the play equipment on the land, as well as the hot tub!
We will definitely book again and would recommend to our friends and family!
