The Pods provide the ideal glamping experience for those wanting a slice of the countryside and a back-to-nature staycation but still with all the amenities of a warm bed, kitchen and shower. The views across the valley from the front of The Pods are stunning - guests will love a morning coffee or an evening glass of wine sat out on the patio taking in the country air and far-reaching views. Sleeping four people in two bedrooms, The Pods are also the ideal location for families and couples to explore the Fosse Way and the Somerset countryside from. The Roman city of Bath and the seaside towns of Western Super Mare and Burnham on Sea are also only a short drive away. The main pod consists of a double bedroom, small lounge, kitchenette and shower room. The kitchenette has a microwave, portable stove top, toaster, kettle and fridge so guests can still cook up a meal if staying in. Wi-Fi is available in the main pod and included during your stay, plus access to a washing machine, ironing board and iron through a private entrance into the downstairs cloakroom of the farmhouse. The second bedroom - the twin - is located in a separate pod, located approx 15 meters away and separated by a path through the trees. It's the perfect solution for children wanting to escape the parents and feel like they're having their own adventure (or is that parents wanting to escape from the kids!) Please note, as the second bedroom pod is a short walk from the main pod, parents should be confident that their children (and they!) will be happy to sleep separately and will enjoy the seclusion of an independent sleeping area. During the winter months, we have converted the outdoor porch of the main pod into an upgraded, insulated dining area equipped with a table and chairs, comfortably accommodating four guests. This addition provides a weatherproof social space, complete with a fully glazed external door to allow you to fully enjoy the surrounding views. Updated photos arriving in Spring 2024. Off-street parking is provided a few meters away from the pods. Please note that the pods are in the curtilage of the owner's country farmhouse.

We are on the Somerset levels so the sunsets are amazing as well as night time stargazing. We have a private, wooden jetty where you can launch your own paddle board. It’s a perfect get away for campers and nature lovers. Bring your own raised BBQs and logs or buy firewood on site. A family run campsite around 30 miles south of Bristol on the banks of the River Brue, it has a relaxed vibe and we try to keep things simple and straight forward. Wow, Little Eden is exactly what it says it is. It has everything for a wonderful camping experience. You are totally emmersed in Nature. You can hear the wild life and birds around you. You can use a fire pit and sit outside under the stars, whilst keeping warm. The decor is beautiful, the facilities are great. 2 nights at Cuddfan - The Hiding Place

Thanks Mark for the lovely stay! The area is secluded and picturesque, which really gave us the feeling of living a nomadic life with just the basic amenities. A few tips for future visitors: Bring a hanging light or headlamp, as it gets very dark and there’s no lighting provided. There’s a gas stove and cooking area, but you’ll need to bring your own utensils. Pack warm duvets and thick jackets if you’re visiting in autumn, as nights can get very cold. 🚗 Important: Do not drive your car down to the tent. Park just after entering the gate and walk down instead. I missed the host’s message about this, got stuck trying to drive back up, and had to be rescued by a farmer with his tractor (thankfully the host responded quickly and was super helpful!). Despite that little adventure, I absolutely loved the stay and would highly recommend it if you’re looking for a unique experience without the hassle of putting up a tent yourself.

I found Qookey Farm Campsite by accident but liked the sound of not, being close to Wells and Glastonbury. It's quite a find. Each pitch is spacious, with its own power source and refuse collection point. Toilets are close by - the only downside? No shower facility. I'd recommend it to anyone..

I love camping on Christina's land. Some may think it's very basic with portaloo's ( always smell nice and are always clean) and porta- showers ( which are lovely and hot and clean) but for us it's perfect especially for the kids and dog- not a phone in sight. We have camped there three times and will definitely be returning. Christina can not do enough for you, and always greeted with a smile.

The environment is very calm and pizza night really is a success, not only the pizza's are very nice but you get to know the other people staying - amazing if you have kids as they start playing together. I camped in my camper van, so to be honest, I didn't require the use of the many facilities available. However, top marks for site tidiness, and the arrival too, a friendly and warm greeting. It was great to see night time fires like some medieval encampment, the off the ground fire pits (available for hire) along with kindling and wood were very much in use. But along with the fires , health and safety was also provided for, buckets of water and ash bins specifically for safety. I mention this as the summer has turned all grass land into savannahs. The publicly accessible forestry commission land was wonderful for walking my dog at all times of the day. I will be returning. Its a wonderful site, run by people who choose to infuse the very ground with that of laughter and fun times. What a great legacy to leave on our earth.

As you'd expect from a site with such a name, there's a whole lot of space in which to relax and explore at 5 Acres, a large grassy site in the Somerset Levels. Kids and dogs are both welcome on site here, and there's plenty of scope for them to run about and play games safely away from barbecues and campfires (which are also permitted to keep you warm and fed in the evenings). Facilities on site include firepits, a toilet and shower block and outdoor sinks with mains water. Dogs must be kept on leads at all time. We class ourselves as a quite site so no amplified music. The premier pitch is fully enclosed so dogs can be let off the lead. There is a maximum of six people allowed on this pitch at any one time. Visitors are allowed as long as the total number of people doesn't exceed six and they are chargeable at the overnight rate and must leave by 18:00 - Sorry, had the envelope pushed a bit! Mains hook ups are 6Amp max rated. Pitches are approximately 16m x 20m. The flag, firepit and pitch number line up in the centre of your pitch. The surrounding Somerset Levels aren’t just out in the sticks – they also produce them. Willow cane has been cultivated the traditional way in this part of the county for hundreds of years and can be seen growing within a mile of 5 Acres. The Levels are also a wildlife haven, making them an all-round top choice for country walks along the many trails nearby. And while this may be a rural retreat, it's also one that's easy to get to as it's just off the A378 (no winding country lanes to negotiate for this one…) Taunton town centre, with its wide range of shops and supermarkets, is a 15-minute drive away. The closest pub and coffee shop are five minutes away by road.

Set amongst 5 acres of picturesque farmland, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and within walking distance to Charmouth, which is part of the World Heritage Coast. With your own spacious camping spot, enjoy the panoramic views of the rolling hills of Lyme Regis. We provide generous grass only pitches for tents and camper-vans. These are unpowered sites. Unfortunately we cannot accommodate for caravans. Nearby attractions include the Jurrasic Coast, quaint market towns and local pubs serving farm fresh food and local seafood. Enjoy River Cottage HQ for a cookery course and get a taste of local cuisine. Also near by is Lyme Regis driving range, golf course and foot-golf. If you fancy exploring Lyme Regis, take the park and ride which is within a short walking distance South of the farm. If walking is more your thing, there is an abundance of local footpaths including the south west coastal path, with Lyme Regis just 1 mile away. Our amenities include flushing toilets and hot water shower blocks. A designated space is avaliable for washing dirty dishes. Be advised that only cold water is provided. If you’re lucky, you’ll get to see at least one of the amazing sunsets at Red Sky at Night Campsite near Monmouth – but if you don’t, there’s mighty compensation in the shape of the spectacular views from just about everywhere on the site. And of course, on clear nights, the night skies are diamond-bright with stars - we are under one of Wales' Dark Sky Reserves! This family-run camping field on a livestock farm is managed on very laidback lines. Pitch up wherever you like and feel free to park by your tent (weather permitting). Raised campfires are allowed and you can hire firepits and grills (the owners sell local eggs & sausages) and buy bags of wood & kindling. You can bring your dogs too (take them for walks in the adjoining woods) but just be sure to keep them on a lead. Kids are certainly carefully looked after here. Get a fact sheet on arrival and join mini-campers in wildlife hunts through the trees, looking out all the while for buzzards and red kites. Round and about the site, your offspring can entertain themselves on rope swings, making dens and following a mini-tractor course across the camping field. There’s also a football pitch. Wild camping this may be (there’s no electricity on site, please note) but there are two nicely designed compost loos and a covered sink areas with fresh water tap. So bring your guitar, light that fire, break out the barbecue and enjoy the chilled vibe.
