Our 17 acre Farm is set deep within the beautiful South Downs National Park on the outskirts of the quiet village of Milland (near Liphook) in rural West Sussex (close to its border with Hampshire and Surrey). We have direct access to an excellent bridleway and footpath network through peaceful open countryside and quiet lanes as well as being on the Serpent Tail and close to the South Downs Way.
Our Glamping Pod and Shepherd's Hut are available to book all year round. We also offer stabling if you would like to take your horses or ponies on holiday with you!
Milland village (0.8 miles) has the Rising Sun pub, serving great food and drink, and Milland Stores, which stocks all your essential fresh and local produce as well as having a small cafe.

Ramble along to Hastingford Fishery, an adults-only shepherd's hut and fishing site set in a scenic lakeside setting less than five minutes’ drive from the East Sussex village of Hadlow Down and 20 minutes from Royal Tunbridge Wells. This site should suit couples or singles wanting to 'get away from it all' and also fishing fans down to the ground. It’s got several fishing lakes to choose from with lots of different species, so settle down on the banks with rod in hand and while away a few hours (or days) in quiet contemplation, waiting for something to bite. But please note, the site is not for 'competition anglers' although there are plenty of good sized carp around. and asks anyone fishing to only use barbless hooks, and for fish to be returned to the lake quickly after being caught.Not the fishing type? Chill out in and around your secluded hut, or there’s plenty to entertain in a leisurely fashion: paths wind around the lakes and through copses/shaws (as this is the High Weald) plus through the local countryside. There are spectacular views towards the South Downs National Park from the top lakes. A spring-fed lake is also on site to cool off in with some wild swimming. Lots of bird life around, with feeders outside each hut and waterfowl visitors to the lakes.When it comes to eats, pick up or have supplies delivered from supermarkets or takeaways in Uckfield, Heathfield or Crowborough or take a drive to Buxted Park for some posh food or pubs in Blackboys, Crowborough, Ringles Cross, 5 Ash Down, Rotherfield, or Buxted (it'll take about 10 minutes to drive to any of these). We offer a selection of bell tents or you can bring your own tent. The camping is set across 2 fields and extends to 12 acres. We have a maximum of 30 tents so it is never crowded.
Come and meet the alpacas, sheep, pigs, goats and horses!
We also have a small fishing lake which guests are welcome to use for a small donation. We restocked last year and there are carp and several species of smaller silver fish. It is ideal for beginners and children. Any children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Setts Wood Farm is perfectly positioned to explore Tenterden and the surrounding villages, and is less than a 20 minute drive to the historic town of Rye, with the beaches of Camber, Dymchurch and Littlestone just a few minutes further.

First of al Mark is a real gentleman and a great man. We stayed as wel in the granery as in the treehouse. Both are realy beautiful places to stay. The granary has more luxure and specialy the woodburner in wintertime is lovely. The treehouse is les luxery but a great cosy place to spend the night.

Mark is a gentleman. His property is lovely. The tree house is very cool. The walk into Elham is only 20 min. My girlfriend and I commuted from London to Marks property without a car. It was more than doable, £25 taxi from Folkestone west train station . Just mentioning this in case other carless people are hesitant. There is an electric cooler, I wish I brought a steak to throw on the fire. Great speaker in the tree house. Even in November with high winds we were warm. Thanks again Mark!

My son and I had an amazing time at Angela's Shepherds hut. It was so cosy and a lovely adventure for us. Having the hot tub made it even better. There was a heater, thank goodness 😁 and all the amenities we needed. Angela was so welcoming too. We will be going back.

My experience at fleet paddock was everything I had hoped for and more all the facilities were clean and well kept , I shared the family bell tent with friends and it had everything we needed for a memorable evening, the campsite was pretty busy but still maintained a peaceful family vibe, I would highly recommend this camping site to anyone wanting to escape the chaos of city life and connect with nature.
For me the highlight was the clear sky's at night which revealed the most stars I have ever seen it was amazing 👏 🤩

Matt met us on arrival and helped carry our bags to the The Shepherds Hut which is well fitted out , nicely decorated , lovely and clean, and well equipped. Nice hot shower and towel rail. Electric fire and also a log burner should you need it for the cold weather,The bed was so so comfy and the oat biscuits and eggs were delicious !!

We loved the setting, the camping field is surrounded by trees. We heard owls hooting at night. There is a small herd of fab Highland Cattle, a piggy wig and two cute goats.
Donna & Allen are very hospitable and the farm has been in Allen's family since the early 1800's.
We spent three days there in September...it was quiet and the perfect setting to relax and reset.

Weekend Trip to Elham Treehouse
We had a truly wonderful stay in the Granary! Mark is the loveliest host we have ever met. Everything felt so genuine and welcoming. The cabin had everything we could possibly need, and the bed was extremely comfortable. Even though I am heavily pregnant, climbing up was no problem at all as the ladder is very sturdy 🌝
We loved our cosy evenings by the fire and sunny breakfasts in the little garden, enjoying Mark’s delicious homemade bread and jam. The setting is green, peaceful, and full of good vibes with friendly little robins, cats and dogs keeping us company.
We also enjoyed lovely walks in the area, a visit to the nearby village, and a tasty meal at the local pub. It was exactly the perfect getaway we were hoping for.

We stayed for a couple of nights and had an amazing time, the cabin was really nice and comfy, Mark was very welcoming, and we felt at home straight away. Fully recommend!

Very hilly but this was a great thing for us as it’s adds to the privacy you have from other campers. Showers were great but toilets needed some work (a couple of the doors were broken).
Huge woods surrounding the campsite for lovely walks. Would definitely recommend.

We had a really nice stay at Charles’s campsite. It was well organised with facilities for showering, proper flushing toilets and washing dishes as well as access to a fridge. We rented a fire pit and logs which makes the camping experience even better. It was a relaxed campsite with kids able to run around and make friends. We would stay here again.
