Caroline County Maryland is a wonderful place to visit with plenty of opportunities for boating, fishing, hiking in nearby Martinak and Tuckahoe State Parks,Adkins Arboretum, access to public boat ramps, touring the Harriett Tubman Byway,produce stands, wineries, orchards,and close proximity to the Maryland and Delaware beaches as well as Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge in neighboring Dorchester County. We're also less than two hours from Washington D.C., and Baltimore, and less than an hour from our state capitol, Annapolis.

Site 3 is for tent camping only and is more secluded. It does have water access available. These sites are a great spot to watch the sunset or watch the stars at night. These all are self contained camping spots. I do have two very friendly dogs that will most likely come say hi to you. Dewey Beer is 1 mile away in Harbeson. Lewes beach is only about 10 minutes away and Rehoboth beach is about 20 minutes away. Sports at the beach is only 5 miles away. Tanger outlets is 8 miles away. Delaware Turf sports complex is 24 miles. There are many great restaurants and shopping nearby. Feel free to ask for recommendations!

We have a new Zinger 29' trailer set up with a bunk room and another bedroom, full kitchen and bathroom. It can easily sleep six people. If you have your own RV, we have a full hook up at the same area. The pasture where your horse stays will also have hay, water and shelter with a run-in. This is a sanctuary for our animals. We have nine animals here, four horses (some minnies) and five donkeys (some minnies). By staying here, you will be helping us to support our animals. We are in Frankford, De which is close to all the beaches and parks. There are many shopping adventures awaiting you, either outlets or upcycle stores. If you just want to relax, there is a small pond out back stocked with bass and turtles. We have 17+ acres but we only use the front five acres and leave the rest for the deer, foxes, eagles, hawks and whatever else shows up. Our horse farm is located in one of the most rural areas of Southern New Jersey. This land was once occupied by The Lanape Tribe. The adjacent creek was named after Chief Alloway. Artifacts of Native Americans have been found alongside this brackish water creek. This farm was for many years a dairy farm which was passed on for 3 generations until the late 80's.
Our main horse breeds are 5 Arabians followed by 2 Thoroughbreds and 2 miniature ponies. In addition to horses you will see free range rabbits, chickens and beautiful cows.
There are many antique shops in this area which tell the rich History of Southern NJ. Cowen mall and Royal Port are my two favorites.
Another must see experience (at least once) in the area is The Cowtown Rodeo, one of the first and oldest in the country, only 14 minutes drive.

I loved camping here! The sunset was gorgeous, the site was spacious, and the compost toilet was 5 stars. I really appreciated having access to firewood as well. Downtown Cambridge was ~20 min straight shot with several waterfront parks that my dog and I enjoyed. The Osprey nest around the bend was the cherry on top a wonderful trip.

It was a nice quiet grassy site. The composting toilet was appreciated. We enjoyed the fire pit and the eagles. It makes access to Blackwater Wildlife Refuge and the Harriet Tubman sites easy. The recommendations for Layton’s Chance Winery and Old Salty’s were spot on.

Great open area stop when overlanding, easy drive to many places including the beach. As stated there are no facilities so you must be self sufficient. Tom does have a fire pit and chairs available, and while we did not use them it is a nice added touch. Our dogs loved the open field and to be able to roam unleashed without us having to worry about them getting too close to a road or other campers. Great host and nice stop. Would stop again!

This was such a wonderful place! Dawn is so sweet and the space is extraordinary. The horses, highland cows, turkeys, chickens, dogs, and donkey are really a nice treat, and seeing the animals being tended to and the inner workings of a farm is really a refreshing experience.
The location is within 20 minutes to Cape Henlopen, 45 minutes to Ocean City, and 55 minutes to Assateague Island. Plenty of restaurants, gas stations, and grocery stores within a few minutes. We took a 23 foot travel trailer. We emptied our tanks at Sun Outdoors Rehoboth Bay RV park 10 minutes down the road.
The site was quiet, private, and very well maintained. Water and electric at the site. Starlink gets great service! PLENTY of wood to scavenge for in the vast forest for campfires
One of our favorite things was the sweet little terrier who lived on the property. She visited us everyday and followed us around. She was so sweet and loved being pet.

We really enjoyed our Amish Farm stay. We booked last minute and arrived after dark. Karen was very responsive. The sheep were bleating all night which takes a bit to get used to. In the morning our kids wantered over and the farmer let them bottle feed some newborns and gave them a tour. My wife caught up with them for part of the tour. Fire pit was nice and cool that they include wood.

My daughter and I loved staying here. It was a very welcome, relaxing overnight. Our German Shepherd also loved it and probably wishes she was still there...I think she fell in love with the donkey. The frogs sang us to sleep. Lovely stay. Thank you, Dawn! We will definitely be back.

I really enjoy the peace and quiet of Carol’s property. Though there are other sites, they are far enough away for each to feel private. This trip, I was the only person on the property and it was just perfect. The pond is lovely, the chorus of frogs at night is loud and awesome, and the wood is plentiful for building awesome campfires all night long.

Had a great time camping here with our 5 year old and dog! There was plenty of space for them to run around and a lot of flat ground to pitch our tent. The area was secluded and serene. We're already planning our next trip back! :)

Great spot next to the turtle ponds and trees. Jill is a wonderful host who took the time to share her fantastic cremes, pottery, and cats with us!
Thank you for a peaceful stay, and we look forward to coming back in the autumn to see the changing leaves and spend more time under the trees.

This campsite was amazing, it exceeded my husband's and my expectations. The campsite was big and beautiful, with the most gorgeous view of the sunset you could imagine. The site was clean and well maintained. We saw many beautiful birds in the water. It had chairs and a charcoal grill, along with a huge fire pit. We did not see another human during our stay which was fantastic as we can to unplug and unwind with our pup. It was safe for our small dog. We were only able to stay one night as we were taking advantage of an unusually warm March day but we would definitely like to come back in the summer or fall to stay two or more nights.
