We absolutely loved our first stay campervanning at The Duchess’s Meadow. The location and views were beautiful, and the directions nice and clear.
In fact, all the detail provided on the "about" page is 100% spot on, especially "you’ll experience the best of both worlds — the calm of the countryside and the charm of a historic spa town, all from the comfort of your motorhome."
It really is the most perfect location, set in the woodlands for countryside walks, and just a short (10 mins) walk into Buxton. With electric and water hookup too as an added bonus, not to mention the tawny owls!
We had the place to ourselves but there is plenty of space available for 2 campervans / MHs at the same time.
Can't wait to return and hopefully stay longer next time! Thank you to Nick & Rachel.

Me and my partner came here for a much needed city break by tent and it was honestly amazing! The shower and toilet are seperate facilities and both clean, there is a kitchen too with a gas stove for cooking! The site is near anywhere you'd like to drive or even walk to around the peak district, and in the actual site itself you can see all the altitude and beauty around you. The air is incredibly fresh, and the owners of the campsite are really sweet and helpful. Will definitely come back for our next trip to the peak district this summer, thank you for having us :)

We loved the look of the space with picnic table dotted about. Lots of water available along side the other facilities. Close to the heathland with lots of walks available. We will be back.

Ease and convenience are the name of the game when camping. Pub is super close, definitely stop by after a hike for a pint and fries. We got to view our hiking spot from our tent. The hot water showers are a dream and the toilets are clean and well stocked. Site was not crowded and campers were quiet. For context, we stayed 29 and 30 August 2025. 10/10 would go back. Take coins for showers!

Alex was super lovely and helpful, awesome guy and amazing farm. Was super nice to wake up to the animals around the chickens the sheep and the cows. Would definitely recommend and go again!!

We loved our private location , fox corner ,only campers in our field , with access to the shallow river , crystal clear water , found some crayfish , the kids throughly enjoyed.
We paid for fire wood , toasted our marshmallows and made smores .
Great location for start gazing on a clear night .
Very calming , relaxing , back to basics site but that's all you need for a great reset .

My partner, dog and I had the best time camping for 3 nights in our tent box at The Hollies.
The toilets and showers were great and cleaned regularly.
The views from the top field were gorgeous!
Everyone was friendly and welcoming but also left you to it - the perfect balance for a relaxing trip.
The pizza/ burger van & cafe was a lovely touch to enjoy on the weekends. S’mores kit available to buy which were great for a late night treat around the fire pits available to rent for cheap!
There are plenty of beautiful walks nearby. We personally loved walking to the top of the roaches then enjoying the view of it from our campsite that same evening!
We throughly enjoyed our stay and would 1000% recommend.

Nice small campsite on a farm. Clean toilet and hot shower along with a pot wash area. Charlotte was very friendly and answered all our questions. The honesty shop is well stocked and fairy priced. Good views of the surrounding area from the campsite and a good local pub within walking distance. Would recommend and stay again

The surrounding hills offer long hikes to Kinder Scout, Ladybower Reservoir, Bamford Edge and Stanage Edge, while history buffs can explore the ruined Roman Fort of Navio, just outside the village. Unsurprisingly, the area is awash with good campsites, between Edale, to the west, and Hathersage to the East. As always, only our very favourites make it onto the Hipcamp short-list.
