Joe met us at the entrance, gave us a quick induction and then let us pick out a pitch we liked. We found a quiet spot with plenty of shade because it was 30 degrees and absolutely roasting. Short walk to the toilets and the water standpipe. Perfect no frills "almost wild" camping in a beautiful and well kept setting. We dropped off the log crate before leaving and had a quick catch up with Joe again. Super friendly people. Will definitely be back.

A great location - 3 minute walk from the beach. Campsite has showers and toilet blocks that are fairly basic but clean and proper buildings/structures. Camp pitches are fairly close together, but the campsite lead is fairly relaxed about the tent locations. An easy going vibe overall and peaceful setting.

This was a proper wild camping campsite in a woods, very rural and off grid, no service, just nature. It was just what we were looking for. I would return anytime.

1 night at Riverside Farm experience camp fire

This place is pure magic, couldn’t have asked for anything more. The location is stunning, based in a valley with views of meadows and grand trees as far as the eye can see. You would think you were deep in the countryside. The stream was crystal clear and crisp, we floated down on the kindly provided paddle boards which the kids loved. Not to mention the very friendly animals who wander freely around the site, it was beautiful seeing animals free in their natural environment. The piglets were extremely friendly and my daughter had so much fun playing with them. There is so much to do, in the woodland area my daughter had fun playing in the sandpit, swinging in the hammocks and zooming along the zip wire. We had a gorgeous fire in the pit provided, grilled our fish and enjoyed the starry night. In the morning we collected eggs from the lovely chickens - the freshest eggs I’ve ever had! And to top it all off, Morag is the loveliest person, such a genuine down to earth soul. We will definitely be back!

Lovely site. Lots of different spots to choice from out in the open or in the trees. Toilets on site if you don’t have your own. No showers. Great place for a couple of nights. Lovely little town near by to go explore.

Weekend Trip to Plum Camping at White House Farm

My daughter and I spent one night at this lovely site, and wished we could have stayed longer! It was simple, peaceful, beautiful, good location. We especially appreciated the lovely clean toilets and showers, washing up area, and the little shed with fridge, freezer, and power points! A simple quiet campsite perfectly for our needs. Little touches like hand soap and washing up liquid made everything easier. And the farm shop was great. We’d come again and stay longer!

3 nights at Fire and Feast Suffolk

What a fabulous weekend camping. Great facilities, super friendly owners (our kids loved seeing the turkey chicks up close!), good location with the beaches about half n hour away. A great meal too on Saturday night, we look forward to coming back very soon!

3 nights at The Old Vicarage Campsite

Lovely little campsite in easy reach of lots of tourist attractions and great beaches being just a few minutes from the A47. The facilities are basic but well thought out and we never felt like there was anything lacking. I’d definitely recommend the Old Vicarage for people who like a back to basics camping experience in a nice secluded rural setting.

2 nights at Secluded Woodland Camp

Jon was a great host, really friendly and always happy to help. The views from the meadow fields are great and I had the whole place to myself for the first night and was just amazing, felt completely recharged and rested sitting in the fields watching the butterflies. Only downside is it’s a bit of a walk from the car and up bit of a hill. Not enough to put me off recommending it though. Just pack light and bring a friend to help pull the trolley. Can’t wait to come back again. 5* thanks again Jon :)

Weekend Trip to Freedom Farm Camping

Nice, quiet campsite. Easily accessible from east London/M11. We were greeted by Emma and David who were very friendly. We were given a private pitch in a small paddock beside the cattle instead of the main field. This was great for the kids to run around safely and play games. Lots of wildlife. We saw swifts, birds of prey and lots of butterflies, dragonflies, etc. No road noise or aeroplanes. Toilets were clean and close to us, but would have been a bit of a trek from the main field. We had a very nice time and would be happy to return.

Weekend Trip to Rushbanks Farm Caravan and Camping

Lovely campsite in a picturesque location. It’s off the grid but the facilities were good and clean, and there were plenty of drinking water points. Pitches were pretty flat and good ground, and it was easy to find a spot to pitch up with plenty of space. The spot on the river is ideal if you love to kayak or canoe, although we didn’t get a chance. Overall, we would recommend.

Campsite was great, kids had a lovely time and the canoeing was so fun for everyone!

So lucky that Sam has shared this piece of land with fellow campers, if you're looking to get off the beaten track and have a proper camping experience, this is it! Lots of space so you can have privacy, great that dogs are welcome, and fire pits are allowed. The facilites are basic but that's a refreshing change as it encourages the camping experience to the max! Can't wait to come back again soon
