Nearly wild camping with spectacular views? Stars and Moor in Bodmin Moor National Landscape certainly has views in spades – right to the distant south coast in fact – and what’s more, there are just a handful of off-grid camping pitches on site, all spread out across two acres of pasture surrounded by Cornish walling.
We are a Greener Camping Members Site. To Join is £12.00 for the remainder of the year if you are not already a member. You can join when you arrive. We accept credit cards on site.
All the pitches are on grass and you can pick your preferred spot on arrival. Vehicles are parked in a designated area, from which your gear is transported to the pitches in a wheelbarrow.
Facilities in the converted horse trailer include hot showers and fully plumbed loos, and there’s ample hot water to make your alfresco washing up less of a chore – but please do note there’s no electricity on site.
On-site entertainment is all about the views, which you can appreciate while cooking on your firepit – hire one on site, complete with a supply of firewood. The skies on cloudless nights are a glittering marvel that you can share with family and friends while cosying up around the fire.
Pack walking boots for yomps on Bodmin Moor footpaths from your tent, and bring bikes for cycling on moorland tracks or canoes for adventures out on Siblyback Lake.
Local amenities are a short stroll away in the village of Minions (20 minutes’ walk), where there’s a well-stocked shop and the highest tea room in Cornwall. Heading in the opposite direction are two pubs within 15 minutes’ walk.

We had such a wonderful two-night stay at Elm Farm with two friends and our two dogs. The location was absolutely perfect, just a short drive to lots of beautiful beaches, with Porthtowan being a real highlight for us as it brought back childhood memories of visiting.
The facilities at Elm Farm were excellent and made our stay really comfortable. The hosts were so welcoming and attentive, and they went out of their way to give us loads of great recommendations for places to explore nearby.
One of the best surprises was discovering their café on the bike hire side, the food was absolutely amazing and not to be missed!
We couldn’t have asked for a better base for our trip. We’d definitely recommend Elm Farm to anyone looking for a relaxing stay in a fantastic location, and we’ll certainly be returning.

Prachtige plek met schitterend uitzicht. De badkamer in de trailer is charmant en helemaal goed en het is handig dat er een vriezer en koelkast aanwezig zijn. Toen wij er waren waaide het hard en dat kan wel wat vervelend zijn omdat je boven op een heuvel staat. Een windscherm kan helpen. De hosts zijn erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam.

We had a great stay at Elm farm which is in a fantastic location to go surfing and to explore the coastline and local beaches.
The campsite is lovely and quiet and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. I will definitely be going back!

Mooie kleine camping op loopafstand van het strand. Wij stonden op plek 7. Heerlijk rustig, geen verkeer of vliegtuigen te horen. De omgeving is een landschap met veel smalle weggetjes met hoge hagen, wandelen kan heel goed langs de kust. Goede pub waar je kunt eten op 7 min rijafstand. Gastvrouw is vriendelijk, kinderen mogen in de tunnelkas spelen. Douche en wc is basic zoals we gewend zijn in Engeland maar prima.

What a lovely site down amongst the trees. We particularly enjoyed the space, quiet, fire pit and being able to let our dogs roam free. The kitchen setup is great and the shower was so easy to use. Lovely clean site perfect for our family get away. Do book Sunday lunch at the castle inn pub and walk the 20-30 mins across the fields it was a great lunch.

We we're impressed by the lovely place and the warm welcome. We drove by bicycles and found profound help for tours and further planning. The sanitary concept convinced us because of its sustainability. We can recommend Elm Farm at all!

A gem of a campsite if you like things nice and simple. The showers and loos were spotless, and the owners extremely helpful with lots of information available about making the most of the area.
The Wi-Fi didn’t work for me in the field, but this wasn’t an issue. It was good to tune out!

Perfect little campsite. Lovely setting and fields were sheltered. Hired bikes and cycled the trails. Safe and good for old and young. Went to the beach 10 mins away. Hot showers and simple but clean facilities. Cafe was sweet with nice stock from local breweries for cheeky sundowner. Highly recommend. Thank you.

Beautiful little spot a short drive from South Moulton. The Camping dome or bubble house as our 2 year old called it was, clean and spacious with a log burner for warmth and electric hob for that morning coffee. Only a few glamping spots so not overcrowded. Loved the ecleptic oldy worldy decor around the site. Plenty of character. Decent shower, toilet and communal kitchen facilities.
Our daughter loved the Alpacas. Thankyou Nick and Tracey for the stay.

Fabulous beautifully maintained little site on the edge of the yellow gorse covered moor which I had to myself. Distant views to the coast and a short stroll to really interesting Neolithic sites, the landscape dotted with the ruins of the mining industry which made Cornwall so important in centuries past.
Really friendly, helpful owners and I will be going back to explore further.
Fridge, freezer, socket for charging phones, fire pits even hot water for washing up.

We loved our stay here! Perfect combo of seclusion and creature comforts - loved the fact the kids (9 and 6) could ramble solo and safely through the woods, they loved the animals, the set up was perfect, everything we needed, would totally come again. Gets cold at night so would recommend lighting the wood burner in the dome at night, we came before Easter when the weather was lovely and it was still chilly overnight, bring cash for bits like wood!

Weekend Trip to Camp Couture
Firstly I would like to say thank you to Nick and Tracy for being so accommodating.
The place is wonderful and very well thought out. When we arrived Nick and Noodle were there to greet us. The toilet and shower room was spotless. We stayed in the Dome, it had everything we needed and more, waking up to the views of the Alpaca in the pen and the Dear in the woods was so great.
The site is very charming and relaxing, I don’t have a negative thing to say about it. It is in the top 3 places we have ever stayed. I would 100% recommend this place.
