We are a small, family run, eco-friendly campsite in Chailey, set in a peaceful pocket of Sussex countryside.
Our uniqueness includes therapies offered on site, including massage, reiki and pellowah; our classes run on site, including yoga, and gong baths; the wide range of outdoor games we can provide; and our commitment to making your camping experience as pleasurable as possible. We also have a fantastic wood-fired sauna all day on Saturdays, a delicious pizza oven on Saturday evenings, and a coffee truck on weekend mornings!
We allow campfires and dogs, and for those who seek a little luxury in camping, we have spacious hot showers. We also have a number of beautiful Bell Tents available to hire, which we will put up for you prior to your arrival (min 2 nights).
Look our for our special weekends, including Star Parties, Yoga Retreats, Singing Circles and Wellness Weekends. We also have delicious wood-fired pizzas on Saturday evenings, and an artisan coffee trucks with superb pastries on weekend mornings 8-10am.

Couldn’t recommend more for a family place to camp. Amazing amount of amenities & grass pitches. They let you choose your own pitch absolutely anywhere across around 3/4 fields, with plenty of woodland around. 10/10 experience

Fantastic. We had the best weekend here. Claire provides everything you could need and more which makes the entire experience so much easier, especially with kids. Bathrooms and tents were really clean, all facilities in great shape. Grounds are beautiful with plenty of big old trees and space to explore. Claire was super kind and helpful and even let our kids hold her ducklings which was a real highlight for them. Would absolutely recommend and hope to return!

Lovely ‘wild Glamping’ set up. Off grid.
Each bell tent was equipped so that all you need to bring is bedding, food and a tea towel.
We stayed on a very hot evening so the tree cover was welcome. Plenty of shade and protected from elements. There is a little field if you want to get out from the woods (and play a little badminton). Bucket shower was great.
I also over stayed by an hour or so (thanks!) and saw just how much effort was put into the cleaning of the cooking equipment etc by the staff who were wonderful.
I did take a camping stove as I wasn’t sure I wanted to cook over a fire during the heatwave but actually I made a fire anyway as it is always fun and could have coped without.
If going in wet weather I would make sure you take decent footwear - that’s all! Thanks for a lovely stay

One negative not related to the site would be the local church. Church bells ringing all through the night was not ideal.

We loved staying at Rolling Fields. The tent was well equipped (kettle, toaster, fridge, three electrical sockets) and thoughtfully laid out, with proper (full sized) beds - one double and a single day bed. It was a home away from home. The play area was an instant success, with climbing frame and trampoline. The play tent was particularly admired.
The site was quiet, just is and people staying in the shepherd's hut, which was perfect.
The private bathroom was very welcome and elevated the glamping experience to new levels.
Each tent has a fire pit with two chairs and a sofa. We cooked on the 'Fire and Dine' fire pit and toasted marshmallows from the embers.
Sitting under the stars around a low fire made for a perfect stay.
I can't fault the place. It was a really great experience. We brought ourselves, clothes, food and torches - everything else we needed was provided.
We will be returning.

Great little site right on the river — I’ve been coming for years and have always loved how close it is to the pub next door.
I’m aware the site has changed ownership in the last few months, and this could be the start of something really good. That said, a few bits of feedback: the toilets, showers, bins and elsan point, while clean, aren’t at the standard you’d expect for the current price. Last year I was paying £20 per night, so a 75% increase alongside a reduction in services is disappointing. There used to be a shop on-site, and things like logs and firepits were available, which made the stay feel better value.
Although I’m not overly impressed at the moment, I will still be returning multiple times this year, just as I have every year. I’m hopeful that with a bit of attention to the facilities-to-cost ratio, the site can get back to being the great spot it’s always been.

Great views with fantastic walks. Great beer in ye old swan inn. Easy check in. Very close to next vans/tents. Toilets/ showers need updating . No washing up station apart from a sink with cold water. But a great 2 night stay and close to home.

I stayed at this campsite one night, and overall, it was a really peaceful experience. The site is quiet and truly gives you that immersive outdoor feeling—you really feel like you’re out in nature. You can hear birdsong all around, and there’s no traffic or city noise—just calm. The facilities were also very different; the toilets, in particular, were compost toilets—no smells at all, was a different experience. My only minor downside is that the field itself is pretty steep—so if you’re not a fan of inclines, that might be a concern. But aside from that, it’s a fantastic spot for a quiet night under the stars.

We stayed two nights in our tent and loved the peaceful surroundings and beautiful nature. The campsite was very spacious, and the toilets were strategically located so you didn't have to walk far. The same went for the water taps. Finding a flat surface was definitely a challenge, as the whole field is more or less on a slope, which we had expected in advance. The owners/camp staff were very friendly and helpful, and other visitors to the campsite were considerate and quiet after dark. We didn't know it was a 'music-free' campsite, but we didn't mind that at all, and we enjoyed the sounds of nature instead. The showers were a bit of a walk, but they were spacious and had hot water. We also loved that bonfires were allowed and that you could buy logs, kindling, and fire starters on site. The 2 pm check-out time was perfect, as we could enjoy our morning and leave without a rush. We also heard The Cat Inn, which is nearby, has delicious food, but you have to book in advance, which we didn't, so we will need to check it out next time. We will definitely be back!
