The Renovated Barn at Seneca Rocks is an actual barn, located on a little farm, complete with farm animals! Goats, chickens, peacocks, ducks, and a pig live at the other side of the barn. The Barn is located on a one acre lot, shared with the host's home. I give guests privacy while they are here, but I do come out to the barnyard twice a day to feed and tend the animals. The property is very close to many outdoor recreation areas such as Seneca Rocks, Spruce Knob, Dolly Sods, and Canaan Valley where visitors can rock climb, hike, zipline, ski, etc, etc! *Adults aged 18 and older only, sorry no exceptions. The property is pet friendly for a charge of $10 per pet, per night (to be left in cash on departure).
In the Barn is a Queen Bed, sitting area, TV with Netflix, Bathroom with hot water, and small cooking area (coffee maker, microwave, electric kettle, electric stovetop, toaster, and small refrigerator.) There is also a gas grill on the deck. All towels & Linens, and Basic kitchenware included.

Our property was a small family farm for several generations. Our family purchased the property about 18 years ago. Since we are not farmers but love living here, the question became "What would be the best use for the land?" Living in a scenic area and already being in the vacation rental business on some other family property answered the question. We decided to share the beautiful view and seclusion of our area with others.
Our goal was to keep the cost of building down so that we could pass on the savings to you so that you would not have to be rich to enjoy our lovely area. This inspired the idea of a glamping cabin. The cabin is actually a repurposed office building that was built about the time this property was purchased by our family. We moved it to the present location and completely remodelled it in 2018 and added the bathroom. For 4 years, guests enjoyed an off-the-grid experience.
In 2023, when we began work on the glamping dome (stay tuned--coming soon!!), we decided to add electricity, running water, and a hot tub to the tiny house!
We hope you enjoy the cabin (and, soon, the dome) and the stunning view from them as much as we enjoy sharing this beautiful spot with you!
Note: The Charming Glamping Cabin is at a totally different property. That property also has a section that used to be farmed. Now a lot of it is forest. We purchased the property around 2000. This cabin was built approx. 10 years later. At that point, the cabin was a tiny economy cabin with a sofa bed. However, it seemed most folks preferred comfort over economy, so in 2020, we added a bump-out to the side of the cabin so there would be room for a queen bed. Guests have loved the improvement. (:

We are 3 miles from Terra Alta, a rural town with a locally owned restaurant and a local craft beer brewery featuring an exciting rotating cast of food trucks. We are 20 minutes from Swallow Falls State Park (MD), featuring Muddy Creek Falls, awesome river swimming and gorgeous hiking in an old growth Hemlock forest. We are also 20 minutes from Herrington Manor State Park (MD) were there is a lake for swimming, fishing, and canoeing. Cathedral State Park (WV) a virgin Hemlock forest with 400 year old trees about 45 minutes away. Deep Creek Lake (MD) is 40 minutes away and offers motor boat rentals, Golf, Skiing and swimming. There is skiing, hiking, biking, tubing, rafting, kayaking and much more to explore within 40 minutes of our farm. The best white water rafting on the east coast is 20-40 minutes away.Farm products are available for purchase on-site. Campers can choose to to have a farm to table meal cooked for them as an extra at checkout. We prepare most of our food from scratch using local produce, meat and bulk organic dry goods. We're located between Davis, Parsons, and Elkins.
Dolly Sods, Canaan, Audra State Park, the Tygart River, the Cheat River, Seneca Rocks, and Tygart Lake are all a simple and scenic trip away.
The land itself is 10 acres. The main camp area is on flat field and approximately 4 acres.
Here is the secret recipe to this camp site:
It will be all yours! We only offer a single primitive site per night. There are no neighbors (at least the human kind) visible from anywhere on the main field. Very minimal light pollution. The stars are clearly visible on a clear night.
There are also no utilities. This includes water, electricity, or available enclosed shelters. Verizon and AT&T have strong signals in the field.
There is a metal carport that has a concrete pad along with a Porta John for privacy. There are also some storage buildings on site.
There is a gas station (Sheetz in Belington, WV) within 5 miles of the farm site and a Dollar General within 3 miles. Beyond that, Elkins has plenty of store options if you need supplies.
Interstate 79 is 32 miles away.
We are in the process of developing the far corner of the main field into an active hops farm and are members of a WV Co-Hop.
Again: this site is secluded and your group will be the only people there during your stay.
We will provide detailed directions when you make your reservation.
The driveway is steep and could cause issues for two wheel drive vehicles in winter. If it's rained extensively there could also be some muddy areas which we ask that you try to avoid.

My friends and I had a great time at Cabin 3! The hosts were quick to respond to our inquiries, and the staff were friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. The cabin can comfortably fit more than four people and still has plenty of space to move around. Both the indoor and outdoor bathrooms were clean. It’s the best place to relax, unwind, and enjoy good company. Highly recommend!

The camp site was beautiful and spacious for four people. The compost toilet was in good condition although the temps were too cold for the showers. Jennifer had plenty of wood for purchase and we had a great time with the farm dog, although he can be nosey at night and is a good reminder to pack up all food and food items well and securely when camping. We would definitely return!

As a newbie to car camping, Camp Holly was exactly what I was looking for. Nestled in the mountains, my site #4 was perfect and had a nice little path down the bank to the creek. The pond is well maintained and there's a great hiking trail up the hill that my dog and I enjoyed. Firewood was readily available with carts to haul it the short walk back to campsite. The sites were clean and well cared for and if there was any drawback, it might be the noise of motorcycles and trucks from Rte 20 at time. (FYI bikers - WVA 15 from Flatwood to Diana and loop back north on 20 would be an amazing ride, but yeah, what part of WVa isn't?) The noise didn't bother me other than "made you look" reaction. I only mention it because it may be annoying to some. I got tired of my camp food so the last night I ordered out from the diner up the road - not to disappoint it was good old home cooked food and the owner was super friendly. Last but not least, the bath house was immaculate and was cleaned daily. I think you'll enjoy your stay at Camp Holly and highly recommend it.

It was great to camp at possum tail. Rain moved in while I was there, but I had a great view of storms coming across the mountains in the distance. Bishop the big friendly farm dog dog stopped by a couple of times. He was well trained and a good watch dog at night, which was a bonus in this remote area.

The porta potties were clean and stocked, plenty of firewood for sale on the grounds, nice quiet area, I honestly couldn't have asked for more. Very nice campsite. It’s set back far away from the main road and was very quiet. Great views of the stars. The wood they sell there is great quality. Much better than what you would get at a gas station or grocery store.
Had a chance to meet the owner. Very nice guy. Gave us some good tips for places to fish and times of year.
The campground is close to Otter Creek Wilderness and several good places to fish.
Cell service is spotty in the area so save directions and locations before you enter the area.
I’ll stay here again next time I’m in the area.

This was a fantastic little camp site!! Nice and secluded but still close enough to take advantage of the exceptionally nice bath house. The host was extremely welcoming and we could not have asked for a better stay!!

This was our second stay at this campsite. Both times we've had a blast. The camp hosts are very friendly and accomodating, including Bishop the farm dog.
This time we brought two kids who had two kids who had never been camping before, and it was the perfect place to introduce them to it.

Weekend Trip to Camp Holly
Just what we needed! The cabin was well stocked and tidy, and the owners were so friendly and helpful. The bathrooms were very clean and updated. Our group booked a tent site and a cabin. The kids swam in the pond all day! We kayaked and used paddle boards. The stream behind us was so peaceful and we even hung out and kept cool in it. The sites are well shaded so we weren’t too hot. There is a local general store within walking distance that has just about anything you forgot! We are hoping to come back next year.

Weekend Trip to Glamping on Timber Ridge
This cabin is truly amazing and worth the drive. Well kept and has all the necessities including cooking essentials. Minutes from Seneca Rocks while also being secluded and private. Loved the walking path where we could see horses from at dusk. Will definitely recommend to others.
