Past trip
Sky Mountain - Shady Pines Geo Dome
in Sky Mountain ~ Santa Barbara, CaliforniaThe property is beautiful, has a bunch of fruit trees, pines, beautiful grape vines, and allows for both light and shade. The amenities pictured in the post are as shown and make the camping easier if you're interested in it. Mila, the host, is incredibly kind, responsive, and accommodating. The drive way up to the property is quite steep, and be prepared to drive up it on paved tire tracks, but Mila will send you clear directions to get there. I would definitely stay here again!
Past trip
Rustic Mango cabin above stream
in Vetiver farms Hawai'i, HawaiiSimple cabin nestled in a beautiful section of a farm. We arrived after dark and Jason and Christine were very accommodating and communicative. While finding the right location can initially be a bit confusing, the hosts are very responsive and helpful with directions. The site has a great outdoor shower set up that works amazingly, some composting toilets, and candles in the cabin to give some light after dark since there is no electricity hooked up to it. It is a bit of a walk down a steep driveway to get to the spot, but the hosts give you a tour around the property to make sure you find your way and all the amenities. The best part of our experience at this spot was the sunrise. It was incredibly bright, beautiful, and since parts of the cabin walls are screen, we woke up to the sun lighting up the forest in fire colors with the stream flowing nearby. Beautiful spot, very welcoming and accommodating hosts, and would definitely stay here again.

(Dispersed site)
This campsite is amazing! It's on a macadamia nut farm with lots of fruit trees, plenty of space to spread out and pick your camp spot, 3 super people-friendly dogs (that keep the boars away), a welcoming and knowledgeable host, and a tent and air mattress set up should you want it! We chose to borrow a tent and set it up in a more open space to see the stars, and it was a simple, super easy set up that only took a few minutes. There are port-potty bathrooms on the property near the camping space, but the main reception house nearby (short walking distance) has flush toilets, running water, and showers if you want them too. We didn't end up getting to use the pool due to a lack of time, but it looked lovely and well maintained. It's a beautiful property and I would definitely recommend this spot for anyone looking for a great camping option near the southern end of the island!
