Great hiking right from the campground and a good distance away from the hustle and bustle of Gatlinburg, Cosby makes a great place to camp in the Smokies. There is no need to leave the campground, but if you do need to head into town, it is not too far. Cosby is rustic with some fun food options, and it is about 30 minutes to a supermarket.

The campsite was beautiful-- not really crowded. It's a more secluded area in the park than the other campgrounds. If you're alright with sleeping somewhere and driving a half hour for a day hike, this campsite is your place!
